if you pause the video at any point, you can see how each individual sprite is completely fine, well made and fitting in the art style. it's just the animation and how those sprites chain together that's lacking. They need some in betweens, is all, and some wind effects on the spin would go a long way to making it look less strange. The sprite work itself, though, is absolutely serviceable
Nah man, it needs a bit more shading, and the design used on the forum is literaly just an entirely different design compared to the one in the mod, the mod itself is good and the sprites are serviceable, but it could be better.
@@doritorancho4735this. The sprites look prerendered, but not in a good way. E102 Gamma does the prerendered look better, not to mention E102 is one of the rare mods that actually utilizes the support for 16 sprite rotation slots
@@souptaelsI agree with this. Furthermore, I feel that using the crash 4 design is kind of lame as well. A design more geared towards naughty dog’s crash design would’ve fit srb2 as a while better. At least in my eyes.
I've been playing with the mod for a bit, and here's what I learned: 1. Crash is slower for precise platforming, since that's how he plays in his games 2. The Crash dash in his games is a tool for speed running through said precise platforming 3. The mod rewards you for using all your tools to the fullest (like his games) 4. You forgot to mention his slide jump, which increase his height and momentum you have gets carried with it 5. Slamming on Springs lets you bounce high on springs (I think trajectory varies based on where you slam on it) My 2 problems with the mod is the lack of smear frames when he spins, and how even with an aku aku mask, you take knock back (not in the Crash games)
Emmette was working on a resprite for Crash, rather than the traced model sprites (in the current version of the mod only a few angles of the idle and jogging animations were finished), but hasn't finished it.
My idea for giving crash more expression: Maybe give him something like Peppino where in the corner of the screen it shows his reactions. I feel like that kinda style you see in Pizza Tower already fits Crash
hi, i see my sprite review made it in the video! im the one that starts off with "now for the negatives!!!!" in the "the sprites are unfinished" category. i say they are unfinished because crash's standing, wait, and walking sprites (only crashes walking sprites when crash is facing the camera apply here) are using remade sprites emmette was making, but emmette never finished them, so the sprites have inconsistent styles between the sprites. that is where the "unfinished" statement comes in. the sprites are finished, the remade sprites ARE NOT finished, which is why i said that they should have kept the old sprites completely until the remade sprites were done. if you take a look at the back standing sprite and then the front walking sprites and actually look at them you can see what i am getting at here. you didn't seem to really notice but once you DO notice you can't ever unsee it which is why they should have waited till the new sprites were done
Does Crash have a super form in this game? Cause the DS version of Mind over Mutant has a Super Crash skin that the mod creator could use for a Super form design
I got this wherever happened by kinda wish to the developer of the crash bandicoot MOD actually didn't do something with rings be honest I'm not sure if they think this is a good idea or may go I feel like 40 if not 60 isn't that bad or if you don't like the idea you could give him Wampa Cannon allow him to use rings as ammo simply both I don't know if you're sending noise me a little bit that rings In completely ignore when I feel I get something that you really cut use in a creative way I leaving something on the table that is definitely capable of being used I don't know it's like the equivalent of being a character a ring magnet ability name perceived to give them no abilities or remased or you did this and got rid of supersonic or even better I know getting rid of half of the reason editor in fun I'm like if you don't want to use any of these ideas I'm like well if you're mine after all you could do whatever you want That just how I would have done

Imo when you see crash's sprites as using the JP boxart design, then it isnt *as* dead inside as it looks. But yea US crash would defo be better here.
