3 divisions, each with 32 teams. Each division has two 16 team conferences, lets say seperated into North vs South. No need for playoffs, each conference has a championship game, then we play a North vs South championship. And the US finally gets relegation. The winner in division 2 moves up to division 1. And there is also a game between the 2 worst teams to determine who gets demoted.
I love it. Add relegation and you give opportunities for the "group of five" schools to move up and those not performing well enough in the "power 5" move down, and it's almost too perfect.
When has the NCAA not dropped the ball on anything though? They consistently sit on their hands until they are forced to stand up and do something, constantly behind the times!!

Sooooo many facets of this missed...you can't pay football players with Title IX in place. The law will not allow you to treat men's football (and basketball) different than women's lacrosse. Texas Longhorns have one of the highest amounts of football revenue in college sports at $162million for the 2021-2022 year against operating expenses of $51.5million (the entire athletic department earned ~$240million of which $77million was donations and I don't know where the legality of that being a writeoff for tax purposes can stay in place with "for profit" sports). The schools are allowed 85 players in football and Texas specifically has 714 student athletes. The disclosures for Texas said that of the $240million in revenue $225million went to expenses, meaning you are going to split $15million in "profit" between 714 players, wow a massive ~$21,500 each per player. That is the numbers at one of the biggest schools in terms of revenue, it gets way worse at smaller schools.
@@BertrandHolton First off, the numbers would have to stay the same across every school (in terms of dollars paid out to athletes) in the "super conference" otherwise you have a massive recruiting advantage that no school will allow. Secondly, no football player who is "earning" that money (by being the revenue generating sport) taking hundreds of collisions every season is going to accept making the same amount of money as cross country runners and they SHOULDN'T. Thirdly, Georgia has 704 student athletes according to a simple Google search of "Georgia athletics student athletes" so don't know where you got 523.
Those kids deserve the money they are receiving. Colleges made millions for decades off kids risking their lives in one of the most dangerous sports out there. Just cause YOU, or the ppl in your town didn’t work hard enough/ was talented enough to create that opportunity for themselves. Jealously is a very disgusting trait, nobody ever puts themselves and another person shoes that’s successful and sees what all they had to sacrifice and go through to get where they are at. Lazy ass entitled generation.
College football is a total MESS... I get it, the coach wont come out and say it... But, the NIL and Portal need to be scraped... College football needs to be RESET! Make it about academics and amateur sports... If the pros need a farm league, then CREATE a farm system... I have NO idea what they were thinking when they came up with this...
O, and by the way, nothing will be done. CFB will morph into an exclusive c.7team only undertaking. And if you're not one of the preferred (7) u get no air time and no ... $$$$$$$$
The only problem with that arguement. Why would you give schools back the power. Thats how we got here in the first place. NCAA was to preserve the spirit of amateurism in collegiate sports, Hard to be a amatuer when college footabll is more than 1 billion dollar industry. They never paid the players who earned it,
That’s just another professional league. Which is fine. Maybe the players don’t even go to classes or anything. They're not really at these universities for academics anyway. It's just the G League for NFL.
I always thought that college athletes should be able to make money off of their NIL. None of them should ever be struggling to eat or have room and board, etc. BUT at the same time, it's kinda out of control. I mean the reality is that the transfer portal has made it so that you can never depend on any player sticking around. It also means that guys are gonna play wherever the money is. It also means if the team you were on sucks or you didn't like something, you can walk and go play elsewhere. I know there's a rule about not tampering, but cmon man we all know it happens. SO now you can openly go out and tell a guy, hey come over here and we'll pay you couple hundred thousand. If you continue on this path, you'll never have the ability to compete because all the good players will leave for the best teams. In addition, those best teams always have the most money to pay them. If you're going to make this the NFL, then make it the NFL and have contracts and a salary cap.
Those kids deserve the money they are receiving. Colleges made millions for decades off kids risking their lives in one of the most dangerous sports out there. That is the numbers at one of the biggest schools in terms of revenue, it gets way worse at smaller schools.
Throw Title and the NCAA out the window. Both are trash.
It would need to have a some sort of relegation system for me to be in
If you start paying players get rid of the scholarships for them, let them pay their own way. Good god they get so much already!
you saying they should go to class
Those kids deserve the money they are receiving. Colleges made millions for decades off kids risking their lives in one of the most dangerous sports out there. Just cause YOU, or the ppl in your town didn’t work hard enough/ was talented enough to create that opportunity for themselves. Jealously is a very disgusting trait, nobody ever puts themselves and another person shoes that’s successful and sees what all they had to sacrifice and go through to get where they are at. Lazy ass entitled generation.
College QB's are looking to trade up schools now, see Sam Hartman, WF to ND, Riley Leonard, Duke to ND, etc.
Heck just like coaches
hell yeah
College football is a total MESS... I get it, the coach wont come out and say it... But, the NIL and Portal need to be scraped... College football needs to be RESET! Make it about academics and amateur sports... If the pros need a farm league, then CREATE a farm system... I have NO idea what they were thinking when they came up with this...
Look I'm an eagles fan, my relationship with chip Kelly is ehhh, but I've never agreed with someone on this topic more than I do rn
Why can’t we see pat’s arms?!?
As a 49er fan I cannot look at this man's face without thinking, "This guy really stinks when his roster is garbage"
Try being a Niner AND UCLA fan. Pain.
He made a lot of good
O, and by the way, nothing will be done. CFB will morph into an exclusive c.7team only undertaking.
And if you're not one of the preferred (7) u get no air time and no ... $$$$$$$$
Hate UCLA but love this!
Coaches need contracts to they can't just be allowed to leave for a job either.

👍🏼
IF you PAY all the football teams via the School then you can kiss ALL the other college sports goodbye as there will be NO money.................
Obviously hasn’t really thought this through 😂
