I've gone through the same experience every morning for the past 15 years when having one, and will continue to do so until either my stomach/bowels give out, or my heart gives out.
But at least I feel relieved.
If not consumed all the time, the supplements in it CAN be viewed as semi healthy. But that is only if you consume it maybe once a month.
Caffeine itself isn't unhealthy, the supplements are fine, really its the excessive sugar and the fact that most people who drink these have them regularly that there are health issues from it.

everything can be healthy and everything can be unhealthy, it just depends on the amount you have and in moderation nothing is bad

@@n.a3642 it actually is good in moderation and I believe that some drugs were actually used in medicine before they were illegal. Let's look at opiates for example, common drugs used in medicine and illegally in the streets. Same applies to cocaine it originated as a local anaesthetic in medicine and was also used in drinks like Coca cola. So yes even that in small amounts was considered safe

I think this has to be one of my all time favorites. Those faces!! LOL. And the "allergy" drink. Gul Sher's cough syrup remark is just the way that I feel about it, too.
The first time I tried Red Bull I was 9 and my stepdad had one and he let me try. I took a sip and spit it out. I asked him,” What is that? Bull pee?”😂
I about fell of my chair when he said “ Let’s try this nutritious drink” far from my friend!

Something tells me they'd prefer a good cup of tea over this stuff. And Gul is correct, energy drinks do taste like cough syrup. In the US, Red Bull and Rockstar are the two that taste the most like cough syrup to me.

Can't drink the stuff myself. I have yet to taste one of the "energy drinks" that I like. They're either sickeningly sweet, super sour or bitter as all get-out and there's nothing in between!
Bless their hearts for finishing them. They're always so gracious about the things they don't really care for. They'll still praise it for it's purported benefits.

I've only tasted a few, some OK, some tasting like men's aftershave (ugh). I always keep a can of the blue Monster, with the screw top, for days when I need just 2 ounces to help me finish what needs to be done. I used to keep an unrefrigerated can in my office desk, for those awful overtime hours. Those 2 ounces really made the difference, because the OT nearly did me in. I don't work there anymore. Now I'm a Hospice nurse, seeing patients in their homes.
They are too awful. But mix in Jello instead of water…only way to get it down…🎉

Well there is the red bull wich is much smaller with less mililiters so i guess in a way it has less caffeine
I used to love energy drinks (Monster especially) but then I started getting headaches every time I drank one, so I don't drink them anymore

As an American, I can assure you that we don't drink these for our health, nor do we particularly enjoy the taste. The taste I would describe as "green chemicals mixed with sugar and battery acid," but sometimes you just have one of those days where things need to get done. In those cases, it's bottoms up. ::shudders::
I prefer the taste of the blue Monster. I buy the large can with the screw top, because when I need the boost, it only takes about 2 ounces, screw the top back on, & it keeps in the refrigerator for weeks! I also kept an unrefrigerated can in my office desk drawer to help me make it through my late, overtime hours on the job. The same 2 ounces was all it took to help me finish up! (Sigh, the overtime almost did me in...I don't work there anymore. Now I'm a Hospice nurse, visiting patients in their homes.)

If it causes your heart rate to change, don't drink it. Happened to me with a few brands, so don't touch the stuff anymore.

just wait until the sugar crash hits. If you really want a good energy drink, make a mix of fruit juices and chill it. The American energy drinks are quite unhealthy and LOADED with sugars. When I need an energy boost, and have to get an "energy drink" I always get the preworkout drinks, which are zero sugar, high caffeine, high in vitamins that boost your energy, but it's recommended to one a day, as most drink coffee, tea, or other drinks with caffeine, and the average adult consumption for caffeine should be less than 600mg per day
Wake up! Fruit juices are just as sugary as soda and energy drinks. You too get the sugar crash. Eat whole fruit. It's the fiber in real fruit that slows your blood sugar levels.

Oh, STFU. They already consume items that are more unhealthy than this. They are adults - not children. They can decide for themselves. And since they can't even get Monster in Pakistan, it's not like they're gonna instantly get addicted to it and drink it every day. It's mainly just caffeine and sugar - 2 things they already consume heavily. BTW, I've been drinking Monster pretty much every day since it was released over 20 years ago (though now I drink the sugar-free version). I was never "poisoned" and am still very healthy at 46 years old. I even race mountain bikes competitively (ranked #8 in my state).
