Dude, thank you so much for this. So nice to see the creative process explaining how/what you're thinking as you go.
Thanks again for a great video Evan! I love your preset module! I always use it when editing photos these days! Keep up the good work and brighten up our weeks.
Finally someone else that uses RETOUCH! One of my most used apps. Great video.
Thanks Evan for breaking it down and explaining your photo editing! 😊
Wopppaaaa :D i saw the video yesturday.. and thought to myself, how is this even possible. Thank you so much for this explanation.. i need to adapt this more to my editing
Cool! Thanks for the lesson!
This blew my mind! Awesome editing tips. Thank you!
Yay you made it! Thanks Evan!
well explained bro!
Keep shining!
Thanks for the video. So great to see what you can do with LR Mobile with subscription. Question, when you're done in LR, do you safe the photo as an jpeg and then you edit in Retouch? Or did you open Retouch from within LR and went back to LR again after the edit?
This is great! Thank you brother.
Very cool to see your workflow using the iPhone predominantly. I'm curious if you opted to get the largest phone storage capacity and if you feel it's necessary to work in the Raw format?
Would be cool to see a video about how photographers can get out of the pigeonhole of being called an “influencer” and not missing brand opportunities just because of follower count. Love the content keep it up bro!
Hmm! Definitely going to think about this one!
This sounds like a good topic.
Any PR, and following is basically the same shit as far as getting jobs goes. You'll need people to see your 'ad' regardless, nothing has changed.
I’m following this!
Have you done a video on the workflow in terms of importing/exporting? I’m guessing you snap 100 pics, import 20 you like into LR, edit them, then export them? But I’d love to know how you handle storage (especially with proraw), duplicates, organisation etc.
Very cool to watch your process! Do you bring your images into Retouch before editing in Lightroom mobile? Does the image export from retouch still in RAW format for editing??
I’m still waiting on my 14 pro. Can’t wait to test this out 🤙
As an older photographer, people are always surprised that I have no issue with people using a phone to take pictures. The phones just keep getting better. Just like all other cameras. Software keeps getting better. I've used Photoshop since the first version - I feel like a very lazy editor with the current software.
Then again - I feel like I'm being lazy because I use Squarespace instead of coding my own website. Still put it off as much as possible.
Haha I feel you! I think there’s something about being creative that makes you have the urge to create everything from scratch and be involved in the entire process
Pics look awesome. Thanks for sharing your workflow. When you’re done, and you export as a JPEG, do you lose any quality or anything else? That’s what I’m worried about anyway.
You’re a G bro thank you🙂
I learned a lot about mobile photography in one year but I’m in 50% of your dope skills 😜 Please make a lot of editing vids especially mobile phone. It would be helpful for people 🙂 Now I’m changing my style your way
This is exactly what I needed to see as I will get the 14 pro today and was thinking of replacing my canon m50 to it in my street photography as I have my phone on me all the time
Which lightroom version do you use? Do you just pay for extra storage on Lightrooma and have everything in the cloud or do you migrate photos on and off of lightroom?
Usually when someone makes a comment like that, it means “I can’t do that so there’s no way that somebody else could.”
Nice work, as always. Those are the 2 apps that I use also.
Do you know how to shoot multiple exposure, or aeb like on a drone in raw on iphone?
Bro this clip is more than underrated thank you going to do this in dc subway hope I can make some good content thanks for the motivation 😁
Good video thanks. I am a Lightroom devotee of getting on for 2 decades and now a big fan of Lightroom Mobile for taking images and then processing and finding the whole Lightroom Mobile, CC, and Classic a superb system. I do take most of my images using a camera (GRII or Fuji X-Pro2) and the iPhone 13 mini 'cause it's always on me. I'm puzzled by how you use Retouch as it cannot process the image inside LRM so you export (share) an image (jpeg?) and edit in Retouch? But then those final edits won't be in the Adobe cloud. Thanks.
Are saying you “have to have” LR for desktop to at presets/LUTs to LR Mobile?
did you export as DNG then import to retouch app? or did you use jpg?
When I import my photos from the iPhone (14pro), the picture looks different. Like the colors are less bright and a bit bland .. do you know how I can get the exact same photo displayed in my photo gallery in Lightroom ? Thanks
I wonder if you are mostly using the 48 or 12 megapixel mode in combination with ProRAW?
Gheeeeshhhh!!!😳😳😳😳🔥
Hi complete newbie here! How do you get the Raw images to your phone? Every time I use my cameras bluetooth & download the images, the images are no longer in raw the images get reduced to jpg.
I would love to edit from phone or tablet, but don't want to downgrade to quality of the images.
is that the paid version of the app? And do you take the image from the lightroom app or from the native app, and then import to lightroom?
I have a problem, I'm processing a RAW photo taken from a mirrorless camera in Lightroom on the iPhone 14 Pro. When saving, I choose the JPG format, but the phone saves the JPEG format, which does not suit me. What can you do?
I know you know your thing when it comes to Resolve. Could you help explain step by step how I can import my Iphone 14pro max DNG photos into my Davinci Resolve Timeline? It says Media Offline. I don't have any issues with my jpg, jpeg, PNG etc but, the DNG which is I guess RAW files, can't be imported, please nor short answers.
I wish I could like this 10 X’s. Thanks Evan for the breakdown!
to get Lightroom Mobile do u have to pay monthly for it ? and is there any other free apps ?
Hey Evan love your videos! Just wondering, did you mean to end the video in the middle of you talking or was that a mistake haha seemed a little off. Anyway keep up the great work! thankful for your informative videos!
How many gigabytes of capacity is your iPhone?
I'd like to see you try a Ricoh GRIII, it's not as snazzy as your Q, but it's a pretty good middle between phone and Q. Great quality, and natural colours. You can still edit on your iPhone. 😁
I wouldn't say it's a totally different output. I usually sit with my GRIII at f8, so the deep focus 28mm equivalent could line up with the phone a look a little, but there's just something about using a tool built for purpose that feels better to me. Dedicated functionality comes in clutch in those moments when you need things to just work and have the camera get out of your way, or you'll miss the photo. Sometimes phone photography feels like eating soup with chopsticks.
Sick
🙏🙏🙏
There's always that one person that starts the snowball effect & Evan shows up saying, "Yo hold my Leica, I gotta stop this"
Way to take some negativity and flip it on its head. Great breakdown of your process! Mobile photography/editing should not be discounted. Been using Touch Retouch for years, love it.
It seems I’m having a bit of difficulty. I shot raw on the iPhone 14 pro with 48mp. When loaded into the Lightroom mobile app it seems the pictures are dark. Any help?
do you have the latest Lightroom version? make sure that when you go to profile in Lightroom that Apple Pro RAW is selected
Great video but I’ve a question. On my 14pro when I import proraw photos on Lightroom they become dark.Did it happen to you too?
This happens to me also and I can’t find a fix. I hope someone sees this and helps us!
@@xsmuttyx I think it’s normal actually. We are just use to the 12 no raw images
change the profile on LR to Apple ProRAW instead of using Adobe Profile, so the photo will be shown as it should be.
settings bars (bottom) and look for profiles there
I shoot all the time with my iphone! I don't have any issue with you using it for street photography, but I don't think you can call it that if your cloning people and things out of your photos!
It would be fun to see if you couldtake a pic with iPhone / galaxy and also edit it with the phones own editing tools, not Lightroom, sanpseed etc.
Is it normal for apple raw photos to show up in LR really under-exposed? I know raw's look bland to begin with in general but it seems like I have a setting that's off or something? Or is that just how it is?
Yeah it seems to be normal! Happened with me as well. Not sure the technical reason why but I’m sure it has something to do with software processing
@@RanftEvan Ok cool, appreciate it! Nobody seems to be talking about it - tried googling and YouTubing the topic so I guess everyone just assumes it's normal. Thought maybe LR hadn't made an update to support the files properly
@@danefarnsworth it does come underexposed but if you go to your setting bars at the bottom and look for profiles, it’ll give you an option to put you photo into proRAW and it’ll show up the way it was taken.
@@RanftEvan I Think Lightroom by default chooses Adobe’s picture profile, you have to change it Apple’s picture profile to bring it back to normal
I had this happen to me! I noticed it’s only when I have 48mp on in the camera settings.
dont get me wrong - i‘ve been following (and loving) your content for a couple years now. and i know how things work on youtube and by fall season its that time of the year again to make those comparison videos with the new iphones. but i just think that the whole premise - comparing it to professional cameras is wrong. i would rather see like a vlog of sticking to it like for 1 or 2 weeks just to the new phone. to really embrace it and fully trying to understand of what this is capable of. people like it for the convinience and always being accessible in your pocket. EVERYBODY knows they cant do the same stuff as a ‚real‘ camera. even tho its getting better every year - almost no professionell photo or videographer would pick this up for serious client work (yet). but on that you are missing out on the millions of people who just wanna put stuff on their social media accounts… much love from germany ✌️
FINALLY a YT influencer breaking down their method of editing! 🎉
Phototubers do it all the time. Welcome to the better side of YT. 😂
also is yours iPhone 14 Pro or max?
"Sorry buddy"
LMAO
I’m so glad someone acknowledged that 🤝
hey wassup meen.im new user.i need money and job.how can i find job
Are you sure you can edit photos? Strange.
An excellent video, but I wish you would talk more slowly. It's hard to catch everything that you're saying.
photonic engine 5000 if it was a human 😏
My issue with the iPhone for street photography, is not related to image quality... its the form factor (ie. having the app lockup or freeze when tapping the shutter, Having to navigate to the photo app, when you need spot something with shooting, needing to locate the touch shutter button instead of focusing on framing. It's those seemingly small things, that really impede my process.
The video starts at 2:14 🙄
Absolutely you can edit from an iPhone…
Did you send me an email about a prize or is it A scam..
Too many brushes...
ProRaw is too clinical. Bayer Raw is better
Waste of time...
Hi! I Ukraine 🇺🇦. My test iPhone 📲 14 Pro.
