It's so surreal being able to download code mods in game, it's just inconvienent that it took until after the fusion hype to actually get here. I do hope fusion gets more popular again, lobbies were so much fun back in patch 4. Very good tut btw, much better than the last!
I commissioned this 11 months ago and due to some stuff we decided to wait before swipez finished the mod. But now installing fusion on quest should be a much more seamless experience then it was at launch.

*Have you done everything right but it gets stuck on the 3 dots?* For everyone that has this issue, go to Android, OBB, then to the bonelab folder as shown in the video, and some (or both) files might be missing, even if you dragged them in (For some reason). Manually drag in the files from the OBB you saved earlier into the new OBB (there should be two files), and it should work now, after just a few minutes of the dots.
@ depends on what part you’re on. If it’s when you launch it after patching Bonelab, then its fine if the game doesn’t launch at all. Just wait at least 4 minutes then restart the headset and proceed with the tutorial’s next step. If it’s after everything is done and you’re actually trying to get into the Bonelab game, then you have to wait a decent amount of time, maybe 5-10 minutes. If it doesn’t load then it’s probably the missing OBB files like I said in my original comment.

I messed it all up with just one miss click because when I was supposed to hit close after patching. I hit restore and it messed it all up, but I figured out how to get it to work after three days and now me and my cousin are playing and we’re so happy. Thank you for this tutorial.

still works! also i recommend u copy ur mod folder over to ur pc if u have the storage space and then pasting it back after the installation to avoid having to reinstall everything if u own a lot of mods

As far as I’m aware Golden Pan doesn’t work and I didn’t notice anything new with Insecticide. Void speaker does not work. Index finger does not work. Void Mind Levels does not work. Scaling works but avatar only. Hitmarkers do not work as far as I am aware unless the Mod Assistant isn’t organizing files correctly for them. BoneSnap works? I think, at least it shows in Bonemenu and makes a snap noise. Realism Gunshot Sounds do not work. KeepInventory does not work. Gravity kart doesn’t work. AudioReplacer and AudioImportLib likely don’t work as they are outdated? Speedometer doesn’t work. LevelLoader does not work. Nothing before that in release date likely doesn’t work due to being outdated. None of it makes the game crash.

im having the same problem, a person recommended to check obb files for patch and main file, but patch is missing and i have no clue how to get it back.
There is no "downloads" in the mod menu. There is also no BoneMenu. I've rechecked and saw nothing out of place nor not put into place. Edit: Make sure your on the right version of Bonelab or it doesn't work
after thorough downloading, tampering, and experimenting, i found out that you need to reinstall bonelab in order to properly start using the code mods IF you've already had melon loader on your computer, and in order to avoid the detour error, uncheck the auto detect game version box and do it manually. unfortunately, i have no idea if it was just me but my extensive searching has led me to the conclusion that either melon loader or bonelib still isn't up to date for patch 6. i would lean towards melon loader being the problem, since it gives no indication of being active when bonelab starts up, and bonemenu is not present.
@fhyjgfdfhjrgdmngfhts this issue is usually only present if you downloaded a melon loader version higher than 0.6.5 before. This is a melonloader issue as downgrading versions seems to have some issues a lot of the times.
The lemonloader link takes you to lemonloader 0.6.5 instead of 0.2.0, Is that all good? I think this video is severely outdated and it was only posted today (unless im wrong about something) I was just a bit wrong didn't read the description, but now that I completed every step on quest bonelab just doesn't open.
For lemon loader 0.6.5 thing I believe he just used the wrong image or something since the new lemon loader version makes it possible to use quest for this. For the not launching part either reinstall bonelab and go through the steps again since you might have missed something make sure to put in the obb files.

When the restore app appears, I clicked open app for my first trial, then close on my second trial, all that was left was restore, but if I clicked that then i wouldn’t be able to get code mods. ATTENTION QUEST STANDALONE PLAYERS. You dont need pc just search up how to acces obb and data files and instead of deleting bonelab obb put the 2 obb files in.
Hey, so basically, my game is infinitly loading, ive restarted multiple times, even did the whole tutorial again, but ran into the same issue, my headset is on the newest version, so is my bonelab, everything is up to date, but it wont run, is it save to continue from this point forward? Okay so it wasnt working for me but I had fixed it, Turns out my minecraft mods folder and the Thunderstore MA is named the same thing and the files fused together (somehow) so now I have 65 pages of minecraft mod assets attached to my oculus (its fixed now) but its still funny so i thought I had to comment about it
1:12. after i installled melon loader, just as you did, i launched bonelab but and error showed up saying to make sure i installed the .NET 6.0 runtime. whats that about?
When I try patching Bonelab on MelonLoader Installer it gives me the Install as well as the restore prompts multiple times before saying it has failed, after clicking on ok, it says it was successfully patched even though it wasn't. When I try to then open Bonelab, it puts me in the Meta Quest Store, so I click start where it sends me to explore because the game immediately crashes upon opening. Is there any way to fix this?
so, i deleted the obb file on side quest. after i saved my savefile and obb to my desktop btw. and when i went to add it back, it wasnt there. i deleted the obb file for the game, and my computer didnt svae the back up that i saved twice, twice because i was unsure if it had saved or not
If you are a quest user doing this and the game wont load after around 10 minutes even after doing the full tutorial mashing oculus button will end the task and bring you back to oculus menu
No matter what i do no matte rhow many times i reset my headset and no matter how many times i patch repatch bonelab it just stays on those god damn dots. I've tried to uninstall the bonelab files in sidequest and replace them with the ones i saved earlier but nope still doesnt work is this a current bug with quest or something? idk what do do can someone help me?
it seems i was not the only one having this issue (so mini, might wanna pin this to avoid any repeating comments) so if youre on quest and it trows you out the app when patched. make shure to first restore the app. and then go into files and DELETE THE MELON LOADER FOLDER. it might be an old broken version (just do it, i dont know the reason but it worked so yay) hope this helps
Ive attempted this about 3 times now and in everysingle one i cant get past the patching. I will patch the game and try to launch it and i keep getting hit with a pop up forcing me to let bonelab have my files and if i just ignore it i get the oculus booting up sequence? And when i finally enable it the game just crashes about 10 seconds into loading please help?
Make sure you have the latest version of lemonloader on your quest. If it takes a lot just make sure everything is alright with your files and check it again IF THAT STILL DOESNT WORK , rest art your headset.

In ALL of my atleast 14 attempts at this I have never loaded in after patching I have always had to restore the obb files and ive waited up to 40 minutes on the of them with and without the headset on. 2. The main reason this isnt working is because I'm crashing but I think the crashing happens because of the next problem. 3. I don't know if it is a sidequest issue or what but I believe I big reason this has not worked for me yet is because whenever I go into Melonloader's files there is already stuff there. I don't know why but there's stuff such as Labfusion, Bonelib, Bonelibupdater, Thunderstore mod thingy, a hole bunch of random stuff (by the way i believe some of those were from quest fusion awhile back) but the strange part is if I delete the files EVERY time I leave the folder they all REAPPEAR. Not entirely sure if this is the case because I'd need others to check and/or confirm, but I don't think this works on Quest 3. I'd followed the tutorial to the letter several times, had the same errors each time and never had anything work. The patch files and OBB files were were they should have been and everything. Lemonloader's Menu looked different, it says Bonelab is patched, but the Quest 3 doesn't ask to reinstall it insisting it's a pirated release, I always have to restart the headset when intially booting up the game, and the thunderstore stuff never shows up on the mods page. I could be wrong but, again, I'd need others to clarify this.

after installing bonelib and thunderstore mod assistant on quest 3 the game is still giving me the three dots, even though i placed all the obb files back in and the saves folder as well. i did notice that there wasnt really much in the bonelab folder (android data folders, not lemonloader folders). EDIT: it works now, i just had to restart my headset.
if your bonelab keeps showing 3 dots even after saving your save file, what you have to do mis do exactly what he says in the video. just make sure that the bonelab OBB has both the patch and main OBB, to find them juts check your files and drag both of them into the bonelab OBB.

Wound up helping a less tech savvy friend mod their game on their quest, and for some reason we can't see any of his mods. The bone menu shows up, the fusion menu shows up, and pretty much every mod works. The only problem is when you go into the bone menu you can't see any of them other than bonelib. Made a post on Reddit yesterday and keep digging to see what the problem could be, but I've got nothing. This is a last-ditch effort. Any ideas?
When I try to download the patched APK and the menu for illicit modding shows up, I press close. The ApK still doesn't install. I keep trying that. Press close on the menu, but it never installs. How do I fix this?

Bonelib isnt up to date, thats why you need to get it from github

0.6.5 is the correct one nothings outdated. I put a text in the vid that explains names have changed

Btw you can do all of this without a PC with having your phone with cx file explorer and side quest mobile

Okay so it wasnt working for me but I had fixed it, Turns out my minecraft mods folder and the Thunderstore MA is named the same thing and the files fused together (somehow) so now I have 65 pages of minecraft mod assets attached to my oculus (its fixed now) but its still funny so i thought I had to comment about it
1:12. after i installled melon loader, just as you did, i launched bonelab but and error showed up saying to make sure i installed the .NET 6.0 runtime. whats that about?

When I try patching Bonelab on MelonLoader Installer it gives me the Install as well as the restore prompts multiple times before saying it has failed, after clicking on ok, it says it was successfully patched even though it wasn't. When I try to then open Bonelab, it puts me in the Meta Quest Store, so I click start where it sends me to explore because the game immediately crashes upon opening. Is there any way to fix this?

so, i deleted the obb file on side quest. after i saved my savefile and obb to my desktop btw. and when i went to add it back, it wasnt there. i deleted the obb file for the game, and my computer didnt svae the back up that i saved twice, twice because i was unsure if it had saved or not
If you are a quest user doing this and the game wont load after around 10 minutes even after doing the full tutorial mashing oculus button will end the task and bring you back to oculus menu

No matter what i do no matte rhow many times i reset my headset and no matter how many times i patch repatch bonelab it just stays on those god damn dots. I've tried to uninstall the bonelab files in sidequest and replace them with the ones i saved earlier but nope still doesnt work is this a current bug with quest or something? idk what do do can someone help me?
it seems i was not the only one having this issue (so mini, might wanna pin this to avoid any repeating comments)
so if youre on quest and it trows you out the app when patched. make shure to first restore the app. and then go into files and DELETE THE MELON LOADER FOLDER. it might be an old broken version (just do it, i dont know the reason but it worked so yay) hope this helps

Ive attempted this about 3 times now and in everysingle one i cant get past the patching. I will patch the game and try to launch it and i keep getting hit with a pop up forcing me to let bonelab have my files and if i just ignore it i get the oculus booting up sequence? And when i finally enable it the game just crashes about 10 seconds into loading please help?
Make sure you have the latest version of lemonloader on your quest. If it takes a lot just make sure everything is alright with your files and check it again IF THAT STILL DOESNT WORK , rest art your headset.
You have to allow the prompt. If you've declined you may need to reinstall and restart the patching process. Also make sure to replace your obb files

@@MinibattleLopSo I have a couple of issues and I need help (im also doing the quest way if it isnt obvious).
1. In ALL of my atleast 14 attempts at this I have never loaded in after patching I have always had to restore the obb files and ive waited up to 40 minutes on the of them with and without the headset on.
2. The main reason this isnt working is because I'm crashing but I think the crashing happens because of the next problem.
3. I don't know if it is a sidequest issue or what but I believe I big reason this has not worked for me yet is because whenever I go into Melonloader's files there is already stuff there. I don't know why but there's stuff such as Labfusion, Bonelib, Bonelibupdater, Thunderstore mod thingy, a hole bunch of random stuff (by the way i believe some of those were from quest fusion awhile back) but the strange part is if I delete the files EVERY time I leave the folder they all REAPPEAR.
PLEASE help if you can, your other tip helped and I'm BEGGING HERE

hey, im at the very end of the tutoriaal and when i try to open bonelab it wont work, it does the 3 dots for a sec and then says i need to quit bonelab to continue and then kicks me out

Not entirely sure if this is the case because I'd need others to check and/or confirm, but I don't think this works on Quest 3. I'd followed the tutorial to the letter several times, had the same errors each time and never had anything work. The patch files and OBB files were were they should have been and everything. Lemonloader's Menu looked different, it says Bonelab is patched, but the Quest 3 doesn't ask to reinstall it insisting it's a pirated release, I always have to restart the headset when intially booting up the game, and the thunderstore stuff never shows up on the mods page. I could be wrong but, again, I'd need others to clarify this.

if disabling proximity sensor doesnt work for the quest only part you could just put tape over the little number in the middle of the lens
I only have bonelab on quest, so i'm not quite sure if i'm able to do it. I do have a laptop, but i don't have bonelab on my laptop.
after installing bonelib and thunderstore mod assistant on quest 3 the game is still giving me the three dots, even though i placed all the obb files back in and the saves folder as well. i did notice that there wasnt really much in the bonelab folder (android data folders, not lemonloader folders).
EDIT: it works now, i just had to restart my headset.

I did EVERYTHING, checked EVERYTHING and keeps loading forever..
if your bonelab keeps showing 3 dots even after saving your save file, what you have to do mis do exactly what he says in the video. just make sure that the bonelab OBB has both the patch and main OBB, to find them juts check your files and drag both of them into the bonelab OBB.
could you also copy your mod folder and then after it's done, put all the mod files back inside?

Wound up helping a less tech savvy friend mod their game on their quest, and for some reason we can't see any of his mods. The bone menu shows up, the fusion menu shows up, and pretty much every mod works. The only problem is when you go into the bone menu you can't see any of them other than bonelib. Made a post on Reddit yesterday and keep digging to see what the problem could be, but I've got nothing. This is a last-ditch effort. Any ideas?

it has to be connected to your quest (i don’t think that you can get fusion on quest rn unless you are on patch 3)
Fusion currently doesnt work on standalone quest. I will make a video on it when it does.

When I try to download the patched APK and the menu for illicit modding shows up, I press close. The ApK still doesn't install. I keep trying that. Press close on the menu, but it never installs. How do I fix this?
