It's the best channel mate. Learning so much from u all the way from NEPAL 🇳🇵. Can't wait to build my own sweet rig and All thanks to you. Best channel on youtube . So much more to learn. Keep em vids comming.
Mixing up the trades! Love how one trade can help with the other. I've seen you use the pipe wrap a few times now and it always brings back memories of my old man. He would take me out on side jobs for plumbing when I was a kid. Good times with the old man! I hope your kid will join you to and make memories 😁.
Me too man! I bring many tools and techniques into my fabrication that have come from my plumbing career. I can't wait to get my son and daughter involved in creating things with their hands 👍
Im a regular viewer and was looking for some adjustable bump stops. Grabbed the dirt discount code and ordered some from Locked. I don't review products but I will say they were quality pieces and the adjustability is nice. Anyway, thank you for the code and I'll thank them for the quality. Now to get them adjusted.
It seems that you may want to make sure that the bump stomp travels parallel with your suspension. The way you set it up, the bump stomp is at an angle to your travel and will cause your bump stop piston to be working in bending stress. Those bump stomps I believe are designed for axial stresses only. I would rethink that location and place it so that it's tangential to your suspension travel when it's close to bottoming out.
I’m loving your channel man! Also great info and straight to the point. Your videos are long enough and never too short to where you miss info. Great stuff man and very knowledgeable!! Would love to see something on coilover setup and regassing if you ever could! Congrats on the new born!!! 🤙🏽
Awesome video Nate. Your content and quality is the best out there! I know what pipe wrap is !! When Joe was a pipe fitter I was the fire watch for them. They used pipe wrap all the time. I think I need new bump stops to limit my travel up front. We did Evans last weekend and the tire got stuffed so much we couldn’t turn?!? BTW... Congrats on the baby!
Thank you! Big compliment! I love Evan's Creek! Definitely one of my favorite spots to veiw Mt. Rainier. And thanks! Two kids are definitely enough lol
Dude. You should get more familiar with your wrap around. There's a lot of cool info on it for laying out miters and various other cut angles required to make different pipe fittings, which is useful for any fabricator. Also, in case you're wondering what the proper v nvm name is for that adjusting tool is, we would call it a spanner wrench in the U.S. ARMY. ..the British army would call an open end adjustable (crescent) wrench a spanner.. ...and they wonder why we broke away...
Do you have a video explaining the installation of your rear antirock? Just outboarded the rear shocks on my LJ and it’s looking like I won’t have clearance to install my antirock in the normal location. Interested in seeing how you did it. Thanks!
It all depends on what you do with it. I think most folks would be fine with a rubber bump stop but it's so dependent on application. Thanks for watching 👍
I am a jack of all trades, I've done literally everything (incl HVAC, plumbing, electrical, gas, flooring, etc) on a house reno, but never welded. How would you suggest one starts? Including a basic setup (gear).
Other than I want a LJ over my TJ. You are building my dream Jeep. Only thing is I have to keep it street legal and has to be Automatic. I'm to big to use a clutch. My knee hits the steering wheel.
Hello, I finally installed a set of fox 2"x2.5" air bumps on the front of my TJ. I noticed they don't move (compress) at all. Is there something obvious (apparently not for me :D ) to do in order to get them fully functional? My mechanic never installed one, so he doesn't have a clue. I just installed straight out of the box (i immediately noticed they didn't compress). Thanks in advance. Cheers Giorgio
Not neccessary. I went as far as I could to get everything pushed to its absolute limit with out relocating the steering box. I don't think I could get another 1/4" even if I wanted to lol. I dont want full hydro steering on this build. I like a mechanical link on my steering for something that occasionally gets used on public road ways. 👍
A little off topic but do you run limiting straps in The front? I’m trying to determine if I need limiting straps. I’m a crawler, not a pre runner so I’m not jumping the thing. I have a Dana 60 rear and a 44 front. I’m coil sprung all the way arround.
I wasn't using limiting straps before but will be now. They are pretty Damn important but with the right build you can get away without having them. That said it is a lot of extra stress and strain on your shocks so just know that you are running the risk of destroying a perfectly good shock without a limiting strap. That said, I never had a problem 👍
Me too! I'm going nuts on the TJ to get it done for a for giant trip in October. When I get back I can't wait to get going on the rover and my j10 pickup. I plan of putting alot of focus on those two rigs this winter 👍
It depends on if you are running a panhard bar. As long as you have a panhard bar and it shares the correct geometry with your drag link, you don't need full hydro. But if you're running bigger than a 35" tire would definitely recommend hydro assist at least. 👍
@@DirtLifestyle i'm glad you did...i'm a BJ fan for life and i love those guys but nate....i honestly feel like you're just a step above those guys in how you do things and the content you provide. in no way is that a negative against BJ but just a testament to your skills and style. very glad to hear that y'all are on good terms still :)
You explain things so well. You’re a natural teacher.
Thank you!

Living the off-road life vicariously thru you man!! Love your channel and I learn something new almost every video...
Thank you! Glad to have you aboard 🤘
Always awesome content buddy. And congratulations on the baby!
Also, the turbo spool at the ends STILL gets me every time!!! I love it! Great way to make sure I watch all the way through
Thank you! Baby is happy and healthy! The turbo still gets me too man lol
10/10 On quality and The smooth transitions. Always a nice end to the work week sitting down and watching your video
Thanks man! Glad to see someone is picking up on all the work I put into the editing! Honored to have you aboard brother 👍

I love the sound when your mig welder is on and you make a great weld!!!!!!! 👍
Hell yeah! Me too! Thanks for watching 👍
Awesome vid, and congrats on the baby!!!!
also the audio was great on this video. good music, good volume, well done!!!
Thank you!
I can already see you are going to be a Jeep build legend.
Thanks man!
Zipties work good for seeing where your stroke is, much like the O ring you're using.
Setting up bumps on my JK right now. This video helped. Thanks man

Sweet, really like your style of filming and editing too. No nonsense, but you obviously put effort in. Subbed!

Awesome Video!!! I did not know you got that much stretch in your front end...that beast is going to be a go kart🤘🏻
Thanks! I'm pumped!
Jeep is looking good man! Those bump stops are awesome one day I might switch to those.
Thanks brother!
Thanks for the great content bud. Hope all is well

been watching the build and like it. hehehe. ive been having problem w my lower balljoint on my paj. max life 6 months 😂
Solid video man!
Thanks dude 👍
I was wondering if you have video of your TJ VW diesel conversion?
Unfortunately no I do not. I do plan on doing a walk around with details on the tdi swap planed for my TJ in the near future 👍
Very helpful. Been considering hydraulic bump stops but we are running 35s on a 2 1/2 lift. Not sure it makes sense with my set up.
It all depends on what you do with it. I think most folks would be fine with a rubber bump stop but it's so dependent on application. Thanks for watching 👍
What bypass shocks are you using up front? Do you have a Part Number? Also the rear coil overs. Can you give any specifics on them?
I am a jack of all trades, I've done literally everything (incl HVAC, plumbing, electrical, gas, flooring, etc) on a house reno, but never welded. How would you suggest one starts? Including a basic setup (gear).
“Little diesel tj”-Nate I feel like little is the wrong word😂
😁
Other than I want a LJ over my TJ. You are building my dream Jeep. Only thing is I have to keep it street legal and has to be Automatic. I'm to big to use a clutch. My knee hits the steering wheel.
Did you have to relocate your steering box and steering components with the front stretch?
Nope. I pushed everything as far as it would go without relocating the box 👍

Do you plan on relocating the steering box to accommodate the front stretch? Full hydro?

@@DirtLifestyle awesome man what did you do to go that far and keep the stock location?

I set my buggy up with 3 1/2 inches up travel before I slam frame
Is it ok to ride on air bumps?
Where are Locked Offroad bumps & shocks made?
Great question bro I'm not sure
Are you going to go over streaching the front?
I don't think I understand what your asking? What do you mean overstretch?
@@DirtLifestyle I think he meant are you going to cover stretching the front in a video.
Question ,going 4 link in the front do i have to go full hydro
It depends on if you are running a panhard bar. As long as you have a panhard bar and it shares the correct geometry with your drag link, you don't need full hydro. But if you're running bigger than a 35" tire would definitely recommend hydro assist at least. 👍
Am I seeing lock out hubs on the front axle??
Yes sir
Nice
