We had a couple mining disasters in Illinois. One in Diamond, IL and one in Cherry, IL. Reminds me of reading about those events and visiting the sites.
Remembering keyboardist Richard Bell (Mar. 5/46 - June 15/07). Great musician (The Band - post Robertson, Ronnie Hawkins, Crowbar, Full Tilt Boogie Band & others…)
That's always been The Band. 99% of other band's music is the same old story of love. Acadian Driftwood could be fleshed out into a 10 part miniseries. Perhaps their penchant for this was influenced by the reviled Robbie?
don't you fret on The Bands low view count. A lot of things in this life that are great and superior are over looked and know by only a few ...we love you Levon we miss your sorrow tinged country vocals.

With you from the Scottish Highlands!
it warms my heart
This is all in all a solid record by The Band. Actually better than the last couple with Robertson.
Oh, please. We're keeping score? They're all great, but "solid" keeps you from too much commitment.
Anything to get a dig at Robbie, I suppose.
@@joelwexler lighten up Francis. I loved Robbie.
No way it's better than Northern Lights/Southern Cross
@billyfizzel7228 well, I stand corrected. 'Northern Lights..' was a damn good record.
"Broken hearts don't mend"....
you're a saint Kyle
THE BIG PINK
and I mean this most sincerely,,
Which one's Pink?
The Big Pink means the house. It's a big pink house in Woodstock, NY, where they used to practice when they first got together.
