Update on Colonial Beach as of 2024. Yes it is a fun beach to go to. but don't go in the summer (june-august) because its crazy packed and the jellyfish take over making it unswimable. (Go during school days in late august!!) Also, very limited parking (so get there either early or as everyone is leaving) AND as far as the video is concerned. the beach part looks the same i would say. but the parts on land are COMPLETELY different. wayyy more housing and less parking areas. if you go a time in the summer though there usually are little shops and maybe a snowcone truck. also some people play music WAY too loud. but there's a really nice dock there Cons: Jelly Fish (June to early August usually. you can find maps online) Too crowded Not enough parking No shower stations WEAR WATER SHOES you could go without on the beach but I wouldn't in the water. I've almost hooked my foot in deeper waters on several occasion Pros: Handicap accessible bathroom on the beach swing set (four swings) Free fishing pier gently waters. almost no current and small waves only caused by boats gradually shallow small parking area with very short walk to the water All in all. A nice beach small when you don't go during the busy times. really good for young kids.
Beautiful! :) How much is the parking there? I didn't seeing any parking meters around. Also, are there any shower houses for washing yourself off? Thanks!
@@zaidjaafar4110 When I went up there, there were card meters that you could use to pay for your parking ticket. But be forewarned. If you plan to go in the water there around this this time, there are a lot of jellyfish. Also, the water was very warm when I touched it. And that was from last July. But later that month, I also decided to go to Sandy Point Park Beach in Maryland and thought it was a much better beach.
It's nice. I like driving on the roads that have nothing but trees. Other than that. It's like I time traveled back to 1974 or something. It needs serious renovation and upscaling. As for the water. I'm too scared to touch it😅. But in all seriousness. Colonial beach needs serious attention to detail and modernization vary vary bad!
Don’t know if I would want to live there. Everything is backwards! 0:51 to 1:11 the cars and motorcycles are driving backwards!!!😂LOL
Nice and Cool beach

I live here
The water dirt and NASTY. This is last I would go. That's my opinion. Everyone tell me what you think? 😢🤢
I was raised swimming in that water since I was a little kid in the early 70's. Wouldn't trade those memories for a million dollars.
Well tbh your in a river more than the ocean so idk what your expecting for it to be nice
This isn’t true
Why?
