- I have been SO SICK from pregnancy & not able to work fully. 2nd trimester has been SO much better for me, I have all my energy back & am happy to be back to posting on social media! I'm SO happy to share this new with you!

Everyone loves to share cute baby pictures, but I really appreciate the wisdom of keeping your kid offline as long as possible. Congratulations!
Yes for sure. I don’t think all parents who share pictures are all horribly intentioned opportunists but even still it’s not a smart thing to do. The internet is a scary place with a lot of questionable people lurking in the shadows. There are tons of really bad folks out there just waiting for the opportunity to cause havoc because someone online reveals too much about their life. The aww that’s so cute comments a parent would get by posting a baby picture aren’t worth having your babies face out there online at that age. There’s just no reason to do it. Kids deserve a chance to grow and develop with their family in the privacy of their own home not with thousands of internet strangers seeing every activity they get up to and what they look like all the time.

Very much so :) if a parent posts videos or pictures of their child online that’s there forever. As we all know there’s no such thing as deleting something from the internet. Once it’s public it’ll exist in some form for all time. That child is its own unique person and absolutely has a right to determine how public their life will be. If one day as Lizzie said her daughter/future children want to be influencers or have social media they can but for Lizzie to make that her reality simply because that is all Lizzie knows wouldn’t be appropriate. I’m happy they’ve made that choice to keep family matters strictly private and not share with random strangers.

It feels so surreal but also so wonderful to know our dear Lizzie is actually gonna be a MOM 👩 she’s actually gonna have a family of her very own. Such a miracle having a baby nothing else like it.
I’m late to the party but I wanted to say congratulations! What an amazing gift! I love that you are pursuing gentle parenting. If God ever blessed my husband and I with a child, that is my goal as well. However, if you or your husband ever do lose your cool, that doesn’t make you a bad parent! Congratulations! Can't wait for another video about bipolar and pregnancy as I am in the same situation, on the same medication and considering staying on meds during pregnancy!
Absolutely I believe those decisions are so personal to each person individually. Everyone talks about medicine as such an easy thing it’s all science but there’s a lot of nuance and consideration of various factors that go into making decisions. It’s not as easy as some would think.

I relate so much to your parenting style. We have a 20 month old girl. We still cloth diaper, co sleep, do contact naps (sometimes), and do gentle parenting with no daycare. :) Congratulations!
God Bless you guys! So many people these days treat parenthood like a chore like it’s just some obstacle to their overall happiness. It’s sad and unfortunate but it’s true. Being parents is hard it can be stressful and draining but as you know there’s nothing like the feeling of raising a family. Clearly you all are doing it right and giving your baby a huge amount of love and support. Thank you for doing such a fantastic job and being a tremendous example for other families ❤😊

I would also recommend, no sleepovers. I had a bad experience at one. Oh, thank goodness, you will not show her. My sister is really careful to not show pictures of my nephew on social media. Amy Marion and Jar of Fireflies both have channels, and both do not show their kids.
Absolutely. I have always been uncomfortable with the idea of kids who don’t even know their own name are so young being shown on social media like they’re some kinda tourist attraction or exhibit at a museum. Kids are so innocent they don’t need their faces plastered on the internet or to be used as clickbait for parents to make money.
Lizzie is smart. She will never do anything to put herself or her family in danger. She cares so much for everyone she would never be irresponsible like that.
Lizzie also has amazing resources in her friends the Cimorelli sisters Christina Katherine Lisa all have had kid(s) so she can ask them for advice 😊
People would always say how bad the last trimester was. But I would rather go through the last trimester Over and over again than the first trimester.

Totally agree! Kids are totally innocent at a young age. They don’t know what they don’t know. For a parent to subject them to the darkness of the internet and to use them as some kind of money making tool is just utterly immoral. Children need time to play have run grow and learn not to have a camera shoved in their face and filmed for some strangers entertainment. I trust Lizzie to do the right thing. She’s very smart and careful about what she posts so I have no doubt she’ll never do anything to hurt herself or her families well-being

As for your not disciplining your daughter and, I guess, further children, who do you think it is that teaches children to be naughty ?
The answer is, of course, that no-one teaches children to be naughty. They are naturally naughty, and will remain so unless they are taught to be good.
And that teaching sometimes necessitates discipline.
I write this as a father of seven children, now adult, no criminal convictions, all gainfully employed, five practising Catholics. That's not perfect, not ideal, but it seems to be well over the current norm.

@@MarsianForestcatno you certainly didn’t write that. What I meant was that Lizzie’s current experience/treatment plan for her bi polar may not be of much help to you sadly. As you know there’s no set it and forget it treatment for bipolar generally, during pregnancy, postpartum etc. Treatment plans are often times hyper specific and specialized to each individual personal their own symptoms history life experiences etc. Each individuals brain chemistry is totally unique to them so one treatment that works wonders for one person may be horrible or ineffective for someone else. I hope Lizzie continues to shared her bipolar journey especially during her pregnancy but I would say the safest advice for you or anyone dealing with such a thing is to talk to your doctor and let them work with you to establish what works best for your exact situation. Knowing Lizzie’s regimen would be comforting and nice to know for sure but in terms of being able to use it as some kind of guideline or template for yourself I’m not sure that would be appropriate. There are so many tiny details that impact what medications can and can’t be prescribed to whom when and in what dosages. I wish it was simple as hey my friend does this so will I and yay it’s all done. If that was the case it would be the easiest thing ever but unfortunately our bodies are so difficult there’s no copy past solution. It all has to be figured out person to person case by case basis.
I hope that makes sense ❤ you seem like a wonderful person and I hope you get help so you can have a fantastic fulfilling life. I just want to make sure your treatment plan is what’s right for you as directed by your doctor not just oh Lizzie an amazing YTer does this so I will follow her. Sadly mental health isn’t quite that simple.

I've scrolled through your Instagram and saw some being too critical of you for still being on bipolar medication even though its necessary for you and its not just any willy nilly medication.
As one who's supportive of intermediate medicine (the middle position of orthodox medicine and natural or homeopathic medicine), it made me mad as there's people like you who have no choice but to be on psychiatric medication. It doesn't always end in the child having problems or defects and it depends on several other factors.
As one who's been on Zoloft for two decades, I hope to one day not have to continually be on it and try to switch carefully and try St. John's Wort as its as strong as an SSRI.
Look into natural means and seek to be your own doctor or nurse as many in the olden days had to do so.

Lizzie is a very smart person so is her awesome hubby Trevor. If they’ve made a choice I guarantee they’ve done more research given it more thought than anyone else. We should give them the benefit of the doubt I believe in that they know what’s best. I don’t believe either of them would do anything without considering all possible outcomes. Both Lizzie and Trevor are thoughtful and don’t make decisions unless it makes sense and is the best thing for everyone
What happened to your website? You told your doctor, right? They should know. My sister did genetic testing for her second one too. But we knew it was going to be a boy, so many boys in our family. If I were to become Catholic, I'd have to be a nun.
My brother and his wife do gentle parenting. Their 4 year old boy is a holy terror now. I have a great fear of him running into the street because lord knows if they yell for him not to, he is not going to listen. Just saying. I do not believe in yelling at children. But I think some physical discipline is generally necessary. Children learn what not to do because of Physical consequences. Whether it be touching something hot or not carefully Stepping down some steps..
I think the main thing is setting clear boundaries early and sticking to them not necessarily whether you use physical corporal punishment or not. There’s been plenty of kids in all places all types all races religions socio economic classes etc who have been beaten daily and many who the parents let run wild; none of them have the perfect right answer.
Overall to me it comes down to starting early and having a plan. For the most part the parents whose kids go wild are the ones who just play it by ear so to speak just go with the flow. That kind of attitude doesn’t allow for any forethought or planning ahead. The mom and dad are forced to confront crises as they occur not prevent them in the first place.
Lizzie and Trevor are super intelligent people both of them and won’t let them happen. I obviously don’t know them personally but I imagine they’ll have a very effective plan of action to teach their child and any future children right and wrong and how to act and not act. If those ground rules are established from the start and the child sees there’s no wiggle room there’s often less chance of rebellion.
If there are problems there’s ways to mitigate them without spanking or overly aggressive yelling. You know that saying “you catch more flies with honey than vinegar”? Well the same kinda thing applies with parenting. Cursing and screaming or physically hitting a child doesn’t teach them any lesson it simply punishes them. Of course punishment of some kind must occur but a child’s mind is like a sponge it absorbs so much. Alongside the punishment, timeout, grounding etc a parent must also explain why the thing the child did is wrong teach them to do better. Without guidance the home will simply become a war zone between child and parent where each side tries to assert their dominance.
One last thing. If Lizzie and Trevor’s child were to do something truly serious or dangerous I imagine there would be some kind of much stricter consequence. I cannot imagine they would tolerate a risk to safety or some overt act of defiance and simply respond with a polite please don’t.

@@annika9348 It isn’t necessarily negative. It’s just a different opinion. Something negative would be that she should never be a mother because of her Bipolar. That’s also an opinion but a malicious and negative one. All I said was that the video would be more warranted if she was adopting. You can also be a real human and ask why I said that because I have viable reasons instead of assuming I’m a troll. Or maybe you don’t truly have the capability to have a decent, civil discussion on or offline. I don’t know. I don’t think it’s that she wasn’t warned that’s not the issue. Lizzie and Trevor are both super smart people. I guarantee you before they decided it was time they did all the research they could and learned all that was available. The problem I believe just was experiencing isn’t the same thing as reading or hearing about something. A person can be as prepared as they can be for some task or event but until they’re in the moment there’s no way to know what will actually happen. Pregnancy like many other things isn’t a perfect equation. Each woman handles it in her own unique way and each pregnancy comes with its own set of symptoms some worse than others. However much someone is told about what will happen the reality often doesn’t match up. Lizzie experienced some challenging moments during the first part of her pregnancy and has learned to adjust overcome and do better with time. That shows someone who is resilient and wise and able to face a lot of problems at once and not be overwhelmed. I’m proud of Lizzie and I think everyone should be too.

Really heart breaking but common among American women and she goes into reasons why she thinks that’s the case in America. I pray more American women aren’t kept in the dark and hopefully her honesty helps but it doesn’t make my heart break for her any less.
@@TheresaMariaI understand what you mean Theresa I just believe that no matter how much she knew or read or found out the reality of pregnancy is much different than anything you can learn. Each persons body is very different and how they experience various moments in life such as pregnancy is not easy to predict. Some women have no issues while others go through horrible times. Of course everyone should be educated on the issue and there’s a lot more we all can learn but some of it comes down to resilience and being able to react in the moment to challenges that come out of nowhere. There’s no one formula to apply that works for every woman. The biggest advice I could give is just expect the unexpected and be ready for anything. If you’re able to not be overwhelmed by whatever arises things can never get super bad
