Your field glaze results are a very nice surprise. Looking forward to see what other experiments you do with it now that you've determined it is stable. Your other pots are lovely as usual!

Your pottery is beautiful, Simon. It has such an ancient, rustic look - as if it's been in existence for hundreds of years. Great work!

As always, beautiful pieces, Simon! I love the brown of the field glaze. I don't fire to cone ten, but I may try a small bit of dirt around here just for fun! take care, Marti C.

Mmmm Milk Chocolate, that field glaze came out pretty nice. Very rich looking. Yea, us North Americans generally call the mostly yellow stuff from the big plants corn, and when it isn't shucked off the cob it's corn on the cob (and cob is an even more complicated word than corn).

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, It has been quite inspirational and educational viewing your videos. what is the significance of the soil in the cornfield in producing this particular glaze. Have you ever made a chess set? I am trying to do one, and wonder if you have any tips.

will do....I've only been doing this for 6 months and make slabwork so far , i am embarrassed to show you as its kinda garish and weird stuff, but I am having fun, I made a butter keeper too, bought a electric kiln for 75 bucks and it just has 3 switches and I have to keep an eye on it to see the cones drop.

Could you fire 'Field Glaze' in an electric kiln?

Pottery is a worldwide skill, it's quality dependent on the artistic contribution. Yours are unique because the name of your pieces has a native title. You began this video with a walk into the corn field, where you dug some soil, collecting some into a bucket; without an explanation why, and without a description of the contents in relation to pottery. What was the purpose of that shot? Are you just spewing out content, for the sale purpose, and boring us with your glaze experiences. What is there about your stuff that is unique from the amazing pieces of others?
