- Vince Staples invites Ebro Darden to co-host an episode of Ramona Radio, and talk about his new album ‘Vince Staples.’ The self-titled album has been described as a collection of Staples’ most vulnerable tracks yet, but Vince confesses that he’s always been vulnerable, he just changed the melody this time. Vince Staples opens up about his upbringing, sobriety, and staying true to the Bay Area, where he was inspired by artists like YG, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Jon, Tyler, the Creator and the “LA Rappers” of his generation. easily one of the sharpest rappers in the game
that alchemist vince earl album is super necessary
Like extremely, and I just feel they'll never release it lmao
We getting new Freddie and alchemist
It would change the game
@@PDSREACTION We getting new Push and Madlib too
actually
With every Vince interview, you realize he’s way smarter and knowledgeable than he seems. Street smarts, business smarts, life smarts all on point 🎯
He seems very smart though
very self aware too
@@RasDam yeah, he really always has. I think people often confuse humor with stupidity.
He’s never seemed like anything other than what you’re describing🤔
This is lowkey an insult to Vince 💀 😭 😂
Can we please talk about the MASS AMOUNT OF INFORMATION that Vince gave us in the first 4 mins of this interview. Dude we need that Al Vince Earl album Jesus
I listen to this dude and realize that I don’t know anything about music.
It was the “As black people we limit ourselves being grateful” for me!!!
The best break down of an album I’ve been looking for Vince, thank you for getting to it quickly. All substance no filler. It’s your first album that I’ve played from front to back multiple times. Top 5 of 2021.
Ebro: I think you playing a trick on everybody 🤔
Vince: Why you say that? 😏
THIS MAN HAD THE BIGGEST GRIN ON HIS FACE. That’s awesome lmao.
i love how dark this album is. the darkness in this album is very comforting
I 1000 % want a Vince podcast
His intelligence just shines through everything he does and says. Interviews, music anything
Vince is somebody to really learn from.
story about Earl and Alch is hilarious
Can’t be the only one mad he settled on such a limited amount of songs, knowing he has more. WE WANT MORE!
I wish this interview could’ve gone on for longer. Always enjoy seeing & listening to Vince chat with people. He’s been doing mad interviews though. Can’t get enough of this guy lol
Love hearing Vince Staples speak. The dude is interesting.
Ebro got it down to a T with the breakdown it’s just melodic crippin 😂
Shout out my boy Gio for killing it on Sundown Town stream that song off Vince new record!
Shout out to your boy I hope he's doing well keep killin it Gio 🔥
favorite track on the album
apple music should have vince staples run a video interview show
Quality interview, top tier Vince interview
In a short amount of time too. I love it
Actually true, I don’t really listen to vince music, however I watch all his interviews. Love listening to this dude talk..
Earl kinda goofed on that one come on dude you know vince
Earl lives in another solar system
@@yamaha5647 both Earl and Al live in they own world
Give "Wicked Tuna" to Vince Staples (with Corey & Ebro!) already! Vince is so brilliantly funny you know he'll even make those tuna fish laugh!
Vince is so entertaining yet brilliant at the same time.
The point about melody equating to engagement is an unfortunate truth to music consumption that fans need to take responsibility for rather than getting mad at musicians when they try make a more palatable sound
Vince holds up
he’s a perfect man
Vince is the one man! His evolution is crazy, and this last album was great! I hope one day he explores podcast soon!
Information power Vince just EMPOWERED !!
i love this album....best thing since LIFT ME UP
whoever taught vince how to meme is not paying themselves enough
Yo. This was honestly a great interview.
i always enjoy listening to Vince.. interviews or music.. same
This man is a gift
Every time i listen or watch hi he just gets more articulate in the way of expressing himself and his craft ! I love hi so much
Grew up right across that bridge down LB Blvd I love seeing people from my area putting ON!! This was dope🔥
bruh i could listen to vince speak endlessly so full of wisdom beyond his years
This was a good interview. I’m so glad he’s not limiting himself because a Vince staples show or something like that would be so fire.
He should do stand up
I felt same way as ebro at first but that breakdown was lovely. Artistic intent can be so powerful
favorite thing of the year
Super interesting interview, Vince is such an awesome artist and I could listen to him talk about his music for hours LMAOO
A week late appreciate you Ebro & Vince Staples 💨💨
I love Vince Staples
album of the year for real
i love you vince
God please bless us with a Vince Staples tuna fishing show
Vince is so wise.
this was a good convo
it sounds intimate…i was overjoyed that all the songs were in general more melodic.
the people not wearing a mask thing ties in with an earl interview where he says he's a "problematic african" when it comes to sickness, therefore making him think it wouldn't be as big as he thought
Would love to hear the Al, Vince, and Earl project eventually
This kid is special
I got a lot to learn around music
I didn't know about him before this album but hey he created fire
I’m glad Ebro said it, this project does not have any more of his story than the others. When we advertised the album being more personal I was disappointed when listening
The album is dope best album of the year hands down
HipHop HipHop, real hiphop
Hope Everyone Having a Good Day ❤️. Peace n Love☮️
Speaks like a genius
hella slept on
Smart young brother!
Be limitless y’all ✌🏾
“Alchemist moves at a very cryptic pace.. he’s slow…..” haha 😂 been waiting for you to drop again homie. Believing we’ll collaborate one day my g. Praying blessings, peace and strength unto all who see/read this. Feel free to come through and check out my work as well.
Thought that short with the music videos were dope af
We need a new Vince Staples colab with Action Bronson
So is Vince's Ramona Radio show coming back for Season 3? Don't see anything new yet.
Vince pulled the Hey Ya
WICKED TUNA IS A GOOD SHOW
I could listen to Vince's opinions on things all day
That Joe Rogan line was too real
Komrade (K)Vince talking about seizing the means of production as artists
Class analysis Vince?
hes been on that tuna show haha if we see him on a tuna boat imma lose it.
This what Cassidy was saying in a pod w/ Math Hoffa. It was his opinion on the craft and lyricism. It went over my head at first but this is a similar view point to me.
Easily one of the best intros. Thank you, Vince. Thank you, Ebro.
Vince staples is smarter than we think
His voice crack I’m ded
Where's the rest of the interview?? ..
HOW IS THIS VIDEO BEING SLEPT ON???!?!?!
Whats the show called agian ?
Vince Staples interviews the best gold on RUclips
Consider checking our first episode on the pod. We gave Vince album a quick stab and we have time stamps too
Vince is clever
You don't interview Vince, Vince interview themselves.
you're tellin me there's supposed to be a new earl/vince tape
Very well spoken, level headed dude. I know I'm old af but, why did it take so long for me to hear of this dude? He been in the game for years!!!
this man made 60 songs. we got 8. there's 52 songs out there with kenny beats and the alchemist production including earl verses. find vince staples, ask for alchemist phone number, call alchemist and tell him he got X amount of time to get in touch with kenny beats and drop a quadruple LP/EP 1st of its kind but instead of all at once just add each project month after month, dont forget to get earl's number too but you can only call him from a payphone, if he picks up rap yo favorite earl verse and then hang up the phone
Kenny and Vince have some explaining to do 🤔
Why is he in Oakland? And to be inspired by the Bay the artist mentioned are not Bay artist... I'm confused. Ramona Radio in the Bay?
W
Kenny does work a lot🎧🏋🏽
man i just wanna talk to vince staples, dude is interesting
Hol up…you mean to tell me there’s a earl and Vince project floating around somewhere?!????!!!
Probably a bunch of Vince 16’s on Alchemist beats with no Earl, cause him and Al was blowin Kush the whole time.
Why has Vince never been on the Joe Roogan podcast?
we should think about buying a boat
Rappin is the easy part, sheesh
Shame how underrated this new project went, I just started my journey last Friday, appreciate any feedback, “SHEESH” by Raj Mahal
Wheres the full joint tho
^^^^^^ this thooooo
It’s on Apple Music
Loved the interview. The album is dope check out our review of the tape.
Dang Kenny was Vince's back up plan lol
Why'd y'all use the Kendrick Lamar hashtag??
why vince dont talk about no id anymore. they beefin? on another interview he said he left def jam for motown after dion and def jam had some creative difference but. idk. seems weird imo.
shame coz it was a great team
Some call uncle al
