    Another tip is stop doing batches with 3 separate customers where you gotta deliver to 3 locations. What Instacart does is bundle up 2-3 customers where 1-2 customers tip like shit and one customer tips amazingly and Carries the other 1-2 on their back with their 2-3 dollar tips. Just skip that shit. It’s going to take you a ton of Time to get it done and all while ur doing that you are missing out on other good orders.

      @@lakeishaw.brayboy8755 yes sir! Yes don’t let Instacart try and pile shit on you. They do that so cheap asses get taken care of too. So 100% skip those 2-3 order batches when they’re only 13-25 bucks

      Right I hate these triple orders and cashiers always seem to sneak the wrong item into the wrong bag and things get mixed up and everyone’s upset
      Screw these triple orders. Shopping for 3 families at once and expecting everything to go well is insane!

      Triples make the most money. You'll never get 300 dollar days skipping triples

    • @Joeybag0donuts
      @Joeybag0donuts 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@conorsmith636 actually they don’t. It’s pretty simple math. Especially when only one person tips like 5 dollars and the other two don’t tip shit and then you gotta drive over 15 miles…. TRIPLES ARE TRASH

  • @michaelbrent4430
    @michaelbrent4430 Год назад +6

    I just want to share a few things from my experience.
    I’m in the capital of Montana. I’ve had a couple batches where a customer requests an actual text upon arrival because it’s a secured state building. Usually it’s just tp and cleaning supplies. Or, ranchers and farmers may have a locked gate and request a text upon heading to their rural address. I would say to the point of not texting or calling, to use your judgement based on your market. I’ve had zero issues from the three times I’ve had to personally text customers. One was even during Covid, and my tip went from $75 to $100 just because I texted them so they could unlock their gate.
    Second, I was baited today. A customer wanted only white or yellow diced onion. I lost a $7 tip because they were incapable of chopping an onion theirselves. If you accept an order with demands, always get it cancelled through chat. You’re paid to shop reasonably, not spend 3 hours waiting for somebody to do the job of somebody who isn’t on shift that’s trained to do it.
    Last, while I’ve never had an explicit address issue, a couple days ago I had a batch, from Costco, that had a 100 pound rack on the order. Of course, I handled it on my own. The customer’s note said ‘knock until we answer.’ It was 10am. I knocked first. Unloaded the 30 item order. Kept knocking in between. Never got an answer. As shoppers, our time is money. So, I took a picture. Kept it, and sent it to them. I also thanked them for their attentiveness to their request. Never. And I mean NEVER think doing the right thing is always right. Do what’s best, do what right, but cover yourself so you can keep earning.

      I figured the shoppers were being told to take a pic when delivering because too many dishonest people were saying they never got any of their orders.

      Last week I had a 3 item walgreens order and as soon as I pulled up to the store I got a email asking me to call the persons fiancee at a different number before I start shopping. It included a promise of a $20 cash tip. I responded that I need to communicate in app and he canceled the batch. Went to help agent and I was credited the batch fee anyway. My only negative was I wish instacart would let me just talk instead of type the help desk.

    • @Yespls888
      @Yespls888 2 месяца назад

      I'm a very new shopper to instacart and I have had two batches so far where I'm guessing the customer's default was "leave at door" but then it says in batch details or notes, meet customer.
      Or something like that. Basically, I'll be prompted to do two different things. BUT the IC app (on my end) prompts me to take a photo when it thinks it's a "leave at the door" order.
      I'm sure someone with more experience would know what to do, literally on my 3rd day. I just follow the prompts with the app. So if it still tells me to take a photos I will (but I don't point it at the person's face or anything).
      But typically if I meet the person I just hand them off the groceries (without a photo, and I'm not prompted to take one) and I leave.
      So some shoppers may have been screwed by people saying they didn't get their orders EVEN in person. And others like me are just genuinely thrown off in certain instances where you're being prompted to take a pic anyway.
      As a customer I wouldn't care though either way as long as I get my items. Our Amazon drivers always take a photo even if you're available to take it. It may be protocol or just an extra measure to ensure there's no funny business if a customer decides to lie.
      I just let them take the photo and take my package. They're only taking a pic with the door in it to further prove it's the right house

    I got scammed by a shopper. They said the orders for their wife, and she wants to add items. Gave her phone number and told me to reach out. I prefer ppl do everything through the app, but they offered a good cash tip. All seemed legit. Then I contact the “wife”, start shopping, and all of sudden it gets cancelled. Then I get a call from instacart support saying it was cancelled because they put their personal number in to have me shop items without the app. They threatened my account will be flagged for weeks, and that he can remove the flag. Still seemed pretty legit at that point. Like as if I was trynna go around the app to get paid. He asked for my verification code that I was about to receive through text. I told him and he said it doesn’t work. He then said he’s gonna need pictures of my face. At that point I put two and two together. The only time instacart needed my face was to log into my account, probably to avoid someone else like this scammer from getting into my account. So that code he sent me was really just a 2fa verification code to sign into my account. And it “not working” was really just cuz instacart wouldn’t let him sign into my account.

    With hand to me orders of the customer is not there you so the support thing and it gives a 10 minute countdown. If they don’t give permission to leave at door your not supposed to. After the 10 minute counter your allowed to self cancel the order and leave and they would notify you if you needed to return the groceries or keep them. I just had this happen. The customer responded after 9 minutes and 30 seconds. I think the customer gets a timer also.

    I had someone do the bigger tip thing
    But it was a really really beautiful, historic landmark home. They were having a huge wedding that I saw being set up earlier in the morning (it’s near my house). I knew it was legit and the order was only 20 jalapeños. The customer texted saying if you can do it really quick and still be safe I’ll give you cash when you’re here. (This was on top of the $10 they left on the app). They were also only 1 mile away from the store.
    When I got there , the lady was like hired as personal chef , it was clear by her clothing and how she answered the door. She handed me $40 cash on top of the $10 because I was discreet about it. I was so so so greatful .
