@JarlEra if you hit him enough to knock him down for a crit, there's a prompt to take the key from his mouth then too
If you ran the "Update UI Images" shortcut from the mod folder, you would have all these missing graphics (High resolution icons in lore descriptions including the Falling Sky painting, Reforged logo for Reforged tutorials/difficulty descriptions).

the UPDATE UI Images doesnt do anything, I had it stuck on "installing" for like 4 hours last night then just gave up and closed it
@@xeakirareinstall, or check your permissions. I think it's not working if ER is on C drive. For me the Update UI Images worked flawless just two days ago

Love this mod. Cool movesets and stuff are fun to play around with for a few hours, but Reforged adds so much depth, ease of access to difficulty customization if wanting a challenge or doing co op, and is rlly the only mod I've played with that ive gotten far into a playthrough.
Yeah it's fantastic. I'm mainly a sucker for redesigned areas & new bosses but the ease of access is truly second to none
the deflects and spell and incantation catalysts are such a good idea. I wish fromsoft had thought of these for the base game
A good video overall, and it's nice that you've showcased many of the new items and features.
Admittedly I liked the previous title more; this one seems a little unfortunate since you specifically went straight for the harder difficulty modes which, y'know, yeah, make it harder. It's fine to just play Reforged in the normal difficulty, and I don't think the "hard AI differences" you experienced against regular mobs actually exist; that's just part of the base package.

Base package as in base reforged? I did dabble with some difficulty settings but not always in the same areas. All I can say is that I played it and made this out of my experience and what I felt was worth to mention.
I don't like the title either and have already been working up atlernatives.

The normal mod makes it more difficult to begin with. Mobs will... well, mob you more times than not unless you're a really stealthy character.
Reforged is the best mod on elden ring which I played, everything is as close to vanilla as possible with the addition of new mechanics, and a gigantic amount quality of life changes like hide helmet function, archery challenges, quick start. I can't imagine Elden ring without it, thanks for video =3
It does definetely include a lot of quality of life improvements, as much as I liked deflecting while playing it is very noticeable as to why it does not fit in Elden Ring. Had a blast playing it though, and I am a sucker for all types of new content!

@@JarlEra Yeah deflect is super fun but can feel OP at times, especially against humanoid enemies/bosses that were clearly not built to deal with it. Still don't think it is as egregiously broken as something like buff stacking and passive FP regen in The Convergence though since you still need to learn the enemies' movesets to take advantage of the deflect. Haven't played the other major overhaul mods yet but I imagine there are ways to break the game in those ones as well.
@@ishambenafghoul3742 Don't get me wrong I really enjoy the deflect system. That together with the many other changes is in the end what makes reforged what it is. As for stacking buffs and all that jazz, it is already possible in the base game and there's so many videos wheer people make extremley strong characters and even oneshot bosses (with a lot of prep-time, of course). I do recommend you to check out more mods as all of them have been a blast for me at least :)
Hey i installed the mod and everything works perfectly but when I’m going Into crafting I didn’t saw all the item from the game but everyone in the video can access all item with the crafting

Nice video, covers most of Reforged current features. The Meteoric Ore Blade cragblade R2 is a vanilla thing though.

reforged is equals parts great as it is beyond frustrating, great because the new systems and frustrating because at every corner the mod punishes you for not playing the way the mod author wants you to
You can grab the key from his mouth, or at least I was able to in previous iterations of the mod
Also the night maiden fight was so fun to me, felt very reminiscent of raiding in World of Warcraft. At a certain point Melina was being used in the fight rather than the black knife assassin, so it may have bugged out, or it could be a special event and its working/also not working as intended 😂
Also x2 (im writing these as i watch, i should stop) i believe i was able to change the nipple fists weapon affix and ash if war, it actually has the option for parry which i think is awesome for a set of fists.

Passiv FP regen is now only in combat (no sense to me), is there a way to get the old version back ?
You also get FP back by dealing damage in melee. As for rolling back on versions I've got no clue :/
It’s got some good features but some are mega annoying - e.g. the area around Fort Faroth is screwed, stupid dragons doing invisible one shots at you without having aggroed them and nowhere in their vicinity. Ridiculous. The shard reward system at Anticipation would be good if you didn’t have to defeat a boss, forego their gear at the Round Table to pay 10K ( 2 shards ) which buys cookbooks - fab - everything worth having is 10 or more shards. Played it for a while but have returned to the vanilla game.

Where do you talk about the blocking? its like Sekiro is it a parry like block or just negates damage? and is it times? lastly i know i can dig and find the answer but can you +seamless this mod?
I only mention it very quickly during the intro. It works like deflecting in Sekiro from my understanding. Aye as far as I understand you can play Reforged with seamless co-op
If you do a perfect block you dont lose stamina and health, normal blocking is the same as base game. If your stamina goes zero while normal blocking your stance will be broken AND lose some health too so perfect blocking is important. Normal weapons can perfect block too while two handing them.
I don’t understand how to level up, it says I’m level capped and I need to forge a binding rune but I can’t forge any cause I need requirements…. But what are the requirements?? It doesn’t show. wtf do I need 😩
Never heard about this issue before. What is your ingame level? To forge a binding rune you need to find 20 of the rune fragments or pieces that are spread across the whole world and go to Enya at the roundtable

And it describes every little thing the creator did. So for ranking up I think what he did was cap the rank at 200, so if you put all your points into two attributes and hit rank 200 then your screwed and need to find 20 rune pieces to forge a binding rune.
All my attributes can’t go above 50 cause I hit the level cap.
I’m still confused by it and don’t know if it’s only for NG+ or regular play thru. 🫠

Seems like a "No fun allowed" mod. Also an exact boost number to damage in the item descriptions would be nice.
The deflect system is pretty fun aswell as the catalysts - but they really went hardcore on finding upg mats aswell a soft "region lock" if you will.
Could def do with some improvements on descriptions
If you don't find it fun play convergence or mess around with the carian combos. They're probably more what you're looking for.
it isn't as bad as it may seem, but yeah, Kirnifr has a certain fixation on making everything as balanced (formulaic) as possible. A lot of player freedom is removed.
@@xviii5780its more of nerfing stuff that can trivialize the game rather than removing player freedom, for example blood got changed so its stronger vs normal mobs but sucks vs bosses, nerfing the cerulean hidden tear which gets rid of comet azur setups to oneshot bosses, jump attacks now drain about 3 times the stamina, etc.
Other strong strats like buff stacking still work, and now you have options like deflect which are also really good if mastered.
Spirit ashes got reworked so they are more passive and no longer aggro but you can buff them by double casting the summon, most summons are weaker but some like perfurmer tricia are inherently better with the changes
Magic got reworked but its still very good, just a bit tricky to understand at first due to how the spells got changed around it
TLDR: mucho texto, but the mod still lets you do all kinds of strats, only the strongest ones in vanilla got nerfed

This video is really a roller coaster of "wow this is an amazing" feature to "man why would they add this". Overall though after 2k hours of vanilla play ill have to mix it up sooner or later.
Yeah man, there's a lot to try out in Reforged so I'd recommend anyone who likes ER to play around with it. It is however a must to seek out the nipplefists and go rampant with 'em. Thanks for checking in!
Reforged has some amazing new mechanics but overall its no fun to play at all, for me at least. You cant go here, cant go there, cant do this or that... ok so how about I go back to convergance and have some fun ;p You can't even fight at the start cuz you have stamina for like 1 dagger attack and a roll, that felt straight up dumb.
Did hate that they removed many skips and made albinuric rune farm TERRIBLE.

I feel like this mod just makes everything more difficult for some reason then adds deflecting which seems so broken lol. Very odd. I also don't really feel the difficulty changes between master through normal, it all feels super similar. Just a weird mod to me, not sure why many people like it. The enemies ai where they detect you from further distances is hilarious, you can literally be sitting at a site of grace and just randomly get attacked by something within a few seconds. You end up wasting hp if you get hit before you even get to the boss fight. Just some odd changes that just weren't needed. Was really hoping this mod was as promising as it looked.
Not to mention actually getting to the bosses is 10x more of a challenge than the actual bossfights themselves lol.
The mod has a bunch of difficulty modes. Just pick normal and the game is just a little harder than vanilla.

I really don't like that a a bunch of people have done this a really amazing job for a game they don't own and a whole company has not even done shit.
"A whole company has not even done shit" has created an entire sub-genre of ARPGs which succeeded so well that many similar games have been created by other developers. You don't have to like everything about the game or even like the game at all, but what I said above is a fact. What you said is contrary to reality. And maybe probably let's not forget that without "a whole company that has not done shit" there would be no elden ring to mod, yeah?
