We're doing a tour at the Austrian BusinessClass lounge Vienna. The flight between Vienna and Bangkok was good, but Austrian needs to improve.
I started my experience at Vienna International Airport after arriving from Copenhagen. The Austrian Senator lounge was closed, and instead I visited the Austrian Business Class lounge.

The Austrian Business Class on board the B777-200 offers an ok seat, but it could be so much better. It's time for new cabins! During the flight I had great food and Champagne.
Austrian offered great food and drinks.

To be honest, I think the seats are fine. They offer direct aisle access and the throne seats offer good space and somewhat privacy. Compared the LH’s ageing business class, its not bad.
Agree regarding LH. But complete to many other Biz products OS is in need of an upgrade.

Thanks! Means a lot. The 2-4-1 works as a 50% points discount for maximum 2 persons. But it can also be used for only 1 person.

Thanks a lot! It’s hard to choose. I love the beauty of the 747, but also the comfort when flying the 380. Also I am a fan of Embraer 195. A bit odd but I always enjoy it. 😃

It is the same as Lauda Air used to be over 20 years ago, excellent. Seems Austrian took the Lauda service model

Useful review, by coincidence, upcoming I have the same 7A seat as yourself. At checkin was thinking of trying to switch to one of the thrown seats which have storage on both sides. But your half thrown looks ok. What do you think, worth making the effort to switch or yours was ok?
In my opinion the throne seats are better. But the seats in row 7 is still good. It also has the advantage that you keep the entire cabin in front of you and better engine views 😃

I was considering upgrading my flight on Austrian to business but the fact the seats look like that and it’s a 777-200 isn’t really something that makes me want to do it.
Not the best seat. But business is of course always nicer than eco. But there are many better business seats.
I prefer the former Amadeus class from Lauda on that route, 21 years ago!
Never tried it. My first time with Austrian to BKK was 14 years ag, so you are ahead of me. :)
Not bad value for the price, a friend of mine paid about £2k from England via Vienna for the same flight, probably the cheapest you will get these days for a BC seat.

I Havent Try Austrian Business Class Yet,Iam Not A Fan Of Thous Seats.Great Trip Report
There are good things about Austrian. Especially on short haul. But the seats are not very nice.
I think long haul flights are better once they recieve their 787-9s i mean kinda hard to keep up the high standard with a 25 year old plane
Austrian does seats doesn’t look too bad compared to most of the other airlines out there. Of course if you compare with emirates and other top of the line airlines it won’t match it. Would you rank Thai air/Klm/AR business better than Austrian?

I wouldn’t hesitate to fly Austrian again. But their hardware isn’t on the top of my list. In total I would rank Thai higher, and KLM higher if it is the 787 1-2-1 cabin.

I really like your videos. They are chill, no drama, nor self centred (self filming and self stories). Your reviews seems neutral and honest
The poor quality is justified by the cost of the ticket. In certain periods, the difference compared to other airlines can be very significant.
I both agree and disagree. This means taking a “Ryan Air perspective”. And many times I do, because money matters. But when I do my reviews I compare to other airlines in the same segment, and I don’t see Austrian in the Ryan Air or Scoot segment. Austrian has so many things that are good, especially the crew and the food. If they shaped up their cabins and made a few other small adjustments, they would be in the top of my book. As for now, I don’t hesitate to fly them, but they are far from my first choice.
Good review, the 777 200 are poor seats and the amenity kit is very poor, looks economy. On the other hand the prices are lower than many other airlines, it looks like swissair quality. The food looks better in Austrian. Last time we flew, we got changed to Singapore airlines, wow what a difference in the cabin, we didn't want to leave.
I think the comparison with Swiss is fair, but with the difference that Austrian catering is better.

yawn! seriously-you expect the senators lounge to be open for a flight which leaves VIE 35 minutes before midnight and is actually the LAST Austrian Longhaul flight to leave on any day out of Vienna International?! Ridiculous! How many „senators“ would have been on that flight? 3 including you, or maybe just you? I fly OS from the NY area in business all the time and still love them! And let’s talk about lounges: The lounge at EWR doesn’t even have wine or liquor or prosecco. Not even sandwiches. Just rotten carrots with disgusting ranch dip! so let’s put things into perspective! Good morning Alexander and Thank you for watching. First of all, yes. I do expect that. Most other airlines have the policy to keep their flagship lounge open until 45-50 min before last flight takes off. Nothing strange about that. Second I fly out of European airports 90% of the time. And that is the standard I compare to. I would recommend you visit Uniteds Polaris at EWR if you are flying in business class. A very nice lounge. Don’t let the LH lounge at EWR set your standards.

Check out a really good lounge in this world. You will see that the OS lounges in VIE are of a very low standard.
