freddie mercury has one of my favourite voices, and obviously the original sounds incredible, but brendon has this softer, more breathy quality in this cover that i feel suits the song really well!!! and i love how it sounds stripped down without the guitar and backing vocals, it’s like a lullaby

Penguin Lips I think it’s just how he sings it with a extremely soft voice and the dark “environment” that he’s in that makes it more “emotional.” That’s not to say that Freddie didn’t put in any emotion into singing the song, because, oh boy, did he put in emotion, but Brendon sung it slightly softer and quieter. Freddie will always be better, but this was good, you have to admit... :)

I do, however think he covers their softer songs much better than the harder rock songs (I’ve only heard BohRhap and this though, so i don’t have much to go off of except the way Brendon songs those.) Hes amazing though.
