I can't be the only one who is so shocked that in ALL those moments in which Rachel was back at McKinley, her and Marley did not once cross paths or have a conversation, or scene together. For somebody who was meant to be the New Rachel, I would have liked that scene and it forever baffles me why they never interacted.

The SECOND I saw her on that show i was like OMG WHO IS THAT?! I instantly fell in love with her....and then i heard her sing this and i became forever hopelessly devoted to Melissa Benoist as a fan. The fact that she made a poor comic book nerd like me happier by being one of my all time favorite super heroines in Kara Zor El/Supergirl was just icing on the cake. Now ive had 3 of my favorite actresses transition to comic book roles. Her, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, and my celeb crush "wife" Karen Gillan as Nebula.
I just love how both of their voices blend at 2:36
A lot of people seem to dislike Melissa in this which is a total surprise to me. This is one of the most memorable performances from Season 4 for me (that's not saying much). But even from the whole series, this is one of my faves. I think they both sound great. It was very similar to the 'Maybe This Time' duet between Lea and K Chen
That duet was 100 times better than this.
Who ever though that Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin 2 actors from Glee would be superheroes today AKA Supergirl & The Flash

I think Marley's blues sound is better for this song than Rachel's Broadway. I'm sad that Marley isn't a regular on the show this season.

I absolutely love this scene. It was the perfect way of introducing the new star of the new directions. Also, it shows Rachel with a new maturity level with her singing. Such great singing in one scene!

+SIARANKA_CZ I did too! I hate how they screwed her over simply because the original cast's fan club didn't take to her instantly. I'm like, "Her voice is _GOLDEN_, and the original cast had _three years_ to build a fan base! Quit writing crap for her and give her some dang time!"
But alas, they did not listen. Oh well. She now has her own show and it's successful, so I couldn't be happier for her. ^_^
Stephen Amell can sing, he just hasn't done it professionally as far as I know. He sang at a convention and at a Nerd HQ Q&A session

I think that Rachel has more vocal technique than Marley. She has a higher register and more vocal agility. However, Marley has a warmer, softer and sweeter voice than Rachel. Listening her is much more "comfortable" than listening Rachel, who always sounds the same.

Melissa is an incredible talent. She originally was studying Musical Theatre and aims for Broadway landing her the role of Marley on Glee. Now Melissa is finally coming to Broadway this summer. She is going to be making her Broadway Debut for a limited run starting June 7th as Carole King in the show BEAUTIFUL.

I was actually glad they got rid of marley, jake, ryder, and unique for the sixth season. They were boring and lackluster to me. Kitty was the only one that had something special about her and she deserved to come back. The others were carbon copies

I thought Marley did the song better then Rachel because she sounded more into the song, put more emotion behind it, dont get me wrong, Rachel has textbook perfected vocals, but sometimes thats not whats important.

I don't know, maybe it's just that Marley showed her emotion better. Which is probably because being in two widely diverse scenarios, immense character differences difference, and dream contrast, their out word appearance and behavior should differ.
+Autumn Danielle you are right about that, sometimes is more important the emotion you can put into a song more than the techniques you can use for the song, vocals skills are awesome but when you put feelings when you are singing makes the whole scenario more credible and perfect
+Yo YO (Awesome) I didn't say that they didn't matter I was clearly stating that even though someone may be a great singer, the song is always better if there is emotion behind it. I also wasn't saying that Marley doesn't have un perfected vocals, Rachel AKA, Lea has been trained on Broadway since a child and basically has textbook perfected vocals (in a broad way type). They are two completely different singers, both excellent.

I catch myself coming back to listen to this song way too often. I've heard both of the solo versions and I love how this works so well as a duet, with the contrast between their voices.

I know Rachel is the "star" of Glee but personally, I've always loved Quinn's voice. It's obviously not like Rachel's but it has a softness and a classiness to it that I'm in LOVE with.
