I can't be the only one who is so shocked that in ALL those moments in which Rachel was back at McKinley, her and Marley did not once cross paths or have a conversation, or scene together. For somebody who was meant to be the New Rachel, I would have liked that scene and it forever baffles me why they never interacted.
The SECOND I saw her on that show i was like OMG WHO IS THAT?! I instantly fell in love with her....and then i heard her sing this and i became forever hopelessly devoted to Melissa Benoist as a fan. The fact that she made a poor comic book nerd like me happier by being one of my all time favorite super heroines in Kara Zor El/Supergirl was just icing on the cake. Now ive had 3 of my favorite actresses transition to comic book roles. Her, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, and my celeb crush "wife" Karen Gillan as Nebula.
A lot of people seem to dislike Melissa in this which is a total surprise to me. This is one of the most memorable performances from Season 4 for me (that's not saying much). But even from the whole series, this is one of my faves. I think they both sound great. It was very similar to the 'Maybe This Time' duet between Lea and K Chen
I absolutely love this scene. It was the perfect way of introducing the new star of the new directions. Also, it shows Rachel with a new maturity level with her singing. Such great singing in one scene!

Melissa is an incredible talent. She originally was studying Musical Theatre and aims for Broadway landing her the role of Marley on Glee. Now Melissa is finally coming to Broadway this summer. She is going to be making her Broadway Debut for a limited run starting June 7th as Carole King in the show BEAUTIFUL.
I think that Rachel has more vocal technique than Marley. She has a higher register and more vocal agility. However, Marley has a warmer, softer and sweeter voice than Rachel. Listening her is much more "comfortable" than listening Rachel, who always sounds the same.

I catch myself coming back to listen to this song way too often. I've heard both of the solo versions and I love how this works so well as a duet, with the contrast between their voices. I wasn't watching glee anymore when this happened, but it's in my Top 5 glee songs for sure.
