Covering Yes is hard. Covering Jon Anderson’s vocals is really hard. These guys kill it. The singer is amazing. She doesn’t do an Anderson clone, but manages to get the feel of the vocals whilst doing her own thing. Excellent stuff guys.
My mom's cousin used to sing the lyrics of yes sometimes at home just to amuse himself sometimes to warm up in his dressing room before performance. I won't mention who he is, but he was a well-known and respected Canadian opera singer.
My comment as a bass player for 54 years, this is a great job done on a great song. May God Bless/Rest Chris Squire. His bass lines are some of what made up my learning foundation in my early years. That and the bass player (stand up) with Les Elgart records my dad spun so often. Again, this video was very well done, by some great musicians. Also a great choice of songs. Bruce
You guys are a joy to watch, ignore the negative crap. There's nothing but positive with your videos. It's cool to see all the fun you guys have playing music together. That's what it's all about! Rock on
William King: Many musical gems, never recorded, & never heard by the general population, have been created in the basement. I used to do that a lot in high school with me & 4 other fellow players, in the band we formed, (you guessed it), IN THE BASEMENT. We were, of course, an annoyance to any of our relatives that lived above ground, especially when we were having trouble learning a song.
Just discovered Band Geeks and I'm going through everything! This is great, Ann Marie's voice is perfectly suited to the Yes material. It's uncanny. More Yes please!
It would be even better if she took the time to learn the lyrics.as opposed to read the on an iPhone... c’mon.. love the band and love the covers, but that’s just an observation, not a criticism. Keep up with the good work. I’m a musician myself. I know it’s Hard. Thanks

Only came across these guys today by chance and I was supposed to be mowing my lawn this afternoon but cant stop watching! One of my favourite Yes songs. Seen them live a couple of times in my life in the UK and Melbourne. Cheers from Australia.
Never saw this covered before. Nailed it! One of my top 10 all time favorite songs. The solo..... Daaaang dude. Vocals were excellent. Binge watching now....
This is in my top 2 of OOALH covers. Band geeks - for female vocal of this song HSCC - for male vocal of this song Great vibe, great musicality from all Superb
I've never heard a male singer who could come close to Jon Anderson's alto tenor voice. Truly inspired thinking by whoever came up with the idea of having a woman do it. I've been a YES fan for nearly 40 years. My brother took me to see them @ The Rosemont Horizon on March 9, 1984. Yes, I remember the date and that the tour was sponsored by "Sparkomatic" car audio. Yes I spent a lot of time staring at that ticket, awaiting the show. They did not disappoint with an oval shaped stage where behind Alan's drum kit it tilted up and the front sloped down so Jon could walk on it periodically. All future shows in my life are compared to this, with only RUSH @ the United Center coming close.
A month ago I did not know what a cover band was. How is it possible! What a joy it is to hear these great tunes. Makes me happy that I no longer live under a rock. Cover bands rule. Thank you for your passionate performances. Great fun.
with my headphones in front of the TV in full-screen seemed to be with you. You are really great. Thank you for all the beautiful pieces that you share with us.
The whole song was expertly done. For somebody who listens to 80's and 90's music almost exclusively and being VERY familiar with this song I smiled the entire time.
Amazing. Irs scary how effortless these musicians make it look. Can you please post a couple rehearsal tries before each video so we may feel better about our own musicianship? Awesome
YOU made" YES" proud she's got good pipes!!! owner of a lonely heart is one of my favorites of many of their songs..Besides this group are not band geeks their pro's
I think Richie and Trevor had a long lunch with a lot of information getting shared. I keep being amazed by both the note and timbre perfection of the playing.
Very nice singing and nice music. All natural. Better than the original. I am 49 now and enjoying this song for last 35 yrs. Thanks friends. Keep ur good work of making people happy.
Amazing bunch of wonderfully talented people making this look easy. marvellous...... and the drummer plays keys too. and guitarist can do Howe, Squire and Rabin . amazing......
And now these guys are playing with Jon Anderson, totally deserve it!
Yup, they killed it yesterday!!!
Indeed they do and no one better!
If anyone writes anything negative on these folks, you need to go back to your tic tock world and stay there....
Keep on rockin' BAND GEEK

Jon aanderson on drums
The singer is naturally talented. No strain, easy, relaxed, can sing all day.
Indeed, singing while in squatting. 😊
Incredible vocal control. Not an easy song to sing at all.
She's very good. I like her voice a lot.
because she's a woman, naturally has higher pitch than man
That guitar solo I would say it’s pretty damn perfect right on it.
Lead singer is not giving her 100% but still nails it!!! WOW!!!
Ann Marie has a great voice!

Moronic f***ing critics. Great take on the solo.
Band doing more in their basement than most bands are doing in a pro studio.
Basement? I think you mean broom closet.

DAMN RITCHIE YOU GOT A GREAT EAR. YOU FUCKN NAIL THOSE GUITAR PARTS. ON EVERYTHING IVE SEEN YOU DO. THANX
Ann Marie...so chill...effortless...like a Bawss! Richie killing it on guitar. The band...flawless.
... how does she sing so well, sitting cross-legged and nearly doubled over in front of the mic?
The lead guitarist did a great job on solo and the transition out of it into clean tag.
And she sings this sitting with her legs crossed I'm impressed
That's because singing in a high register is more about head voice than singing from the diaphragm.
The moment when she starts to sing and that guitar riff 😍 magic sound 😍
Guitar solo close to perfect - love it
If I had won the lottery, I would ask you guys to play for my retirement party. What a joy to listen and dance to.
The female has a great voice and timing!
Her vocals are just splendid. The phrasing is excellent and far better than simply mimicking the original. Kudos!
As somebody who listens to the original recording in the car ALL THE TIME I can tell you this is an incredible cover! Nicely done.

You are one of the greatist cover bands on Earth and Ann Marie is a godess!
Ann Marie’s voice is so pure and powerful.
Well done--66 yrs old been listening a long time--thank you
Even Jon Anderson would be impressed with this cover. So hard to replicate Jon’s voice but here she has done a good job. Musicians are spot on!
If Jon isn't the singer, I vote for her. She did an amazing job!
Ann Marie u killed it !!!! U all killed it !!!!! Sounds sooo good!
Great playing. And that solo section you nailed all. And the guitar solo. Wow 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Anne Marie - WOW !

This song was incredibly difficult to record in the studio by Yes, and these guys nailed the entire sound right here in their basement.
Yes music ain't easy to cover.
This band knocked it out of the park

I think Richie and Trevor had a long lunch with a lot of information getting shared. I keep being amazed by both the note and timbre perfection of the playing.
If that was true then Richie would have played the clean part like Trevor does - open string picking is not how he does it. Solo was spot on though.
Bloody hard song to play, especially that well! Don't listen to the haters, they have no idea what they are talking about, that was brilliant!
I remember playing with friends when I was in college. We had a blast singing and playing. Y'all are great! Keep on keepin' on
