Why as Catholics do we have Stockholm syndrome? Why are we pretending modern day Judaism the rejection of the word is the same as Old Testament Judaism. The old law was fulfilled with Christ passion. The covenant was contingent on obedience you are no longer chosen when you reject Christ.

I know right? I have been listening to the CIY. Father Mike usually knocks it out of the park. This week he hit on this topic and it was awful and over the top. Worse, it brought out endless stories like "I have been visiting a synagogue for years on Saturday". That's the only fruit of refusing to acknowledge that Christ changed everything and post 70AD, Judaism is a completely new and different religion.

Very interesting. As a Jew I was never interested in any other religion because I was Jewish. When off work for a period of months I decided to read the Bible from beginning to end none stop. After I finished I found I couldn’t remain Jewish and then became catholic. Best move I ever made. I feel more chosen now than before.

What makes you think that the Jesus thing is a proper continuation of the Jewish bible (Exodus 32:31-33, Deuteronomy 24:16-17, Proverbs 17:15+26, Ezekiel 18:19-20, Jeremiah 31:29-30)? You're failing as a Jew (Psalm 50:16-17, Psalm 119:117-118). Try harder then come home, these gentiles never replace us, not even according to the words of Yeshu (Matthew 23:1-3, Matthew 18:17, Matthew 7:23).

there are 10,000 illnesses or diseases we know about.....in my worldview i can explain it through nature which is imperfect but in your worldview, your god is responsible for cancer dementia, and countless ghastly other illnesses........
this religion is a joke, do you really think that god is only for the jewish people and that you are chosen, but people can't convert to judaism .
I'd rather believe in islam that the god created all people equal and that the ones who more devoted and follow all of god's instructions are the closer to him and that everyone should convert and spread the message so other people become muslim and that the world lives under the rules of the quraan which would 100% make the world a peaceful and a good place for all people.

In islam anyone who accepts the commands of God irrespective of his ethnicity becomes God's chosen while in Trinity only a certain ethnicity is chosen irrespective of its deeds..if this isn't racism then what is? So I was raised Catholic. I had a NDE which changed my understanding of RELIGION. Religion is man made. Our father loves our personal relationship with him. It’s because Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are the first people who truly responded to God’s calling.
They were Israelites...
And because their descendants would be the only ones to preserve what their forefathers held to. You gentiles worship the idolatry of the Roman trinity, a god foreign to Avraham and his descendants (Deuteronomy 13:6-17, Deuteronomy 32:16-17, Isaiah 45:19-21, Jeremiah 16:19-21, Zechariah 8:23).

Seeing the Israelites labelled as the Jews... May I please just quickly give you some shocking facts - to the world. Jesus was not a Jew. He was an Israelite. How dare I say that? Let’s quickly start with the lineage of Abraham. Abrahams lineage gets to Isaac, and he then has both Jacob & Esau. Let’s check the covenant God made with Abraham and his lineage. Please read Genesis 17. And then it is highlighted again in Exodus 2, with God’s covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Read again please, Abraham, Isaac, JACOB. So, Isaac had two sons, Jacob & Esau. But, Esau’s name is NOT added to the lineage of Jesus. But Jacob is. And guess what… God then changed Jacob’s name to Israel. So regarding the covenant God made with Abraham and his lineage, Esau is never named.
Okay, now the question is, what am I trying to say? Let’s quickly get to Judaism.

So after reading the lineage and the promise stated from Judaism, now let’s start with the facts regarding where the Jews come from.
Jews are actually from Esau-Edom, which means, Jews are from the line of Esau. The Jews are NOT from Israel or Judah. This can be read in the Jewish Encyclopaedia, written by Jews. Don't believe me, go read it yourself. In the Jewish Almanac, it is stated that it's incorrect in calling a Jew an Israelite or Hebrew, also written by Jews. Don't believe me, go read it yourself. And although a lot more facts can be found in a lot more books & encyclopaedias, I will add only one more quickly, and that is, Edomite Jews started calling themselves Israelites and Hebrews from 1860, this can be read in the Encyclopaedia Judaica, and yes... written by Jews. Don't believe me, go read it yourself. And guess what, God hated Esau. Don't believe me, go read the Bible please. So, Jews are not Christians, and Israelites are not Jews. What I feel is very sad, is the fact that Bible verses and everything preached to the world is always changed and explained in a different way just to make everyone feel happy, instead of telling the truth. In the Bible, go read John 8:44 - “Jews are the children from Satan”. And let me also quickly ask a question, and that is, who sought for the execution of Jesus? Please go read John 18:13 - yes, the Jews.

Although other aspects of dating systems are based in Christian origins, AD is a direct reference to Jesus as Lord."
So no, they don't even believe in Jesus, as confirmed by Jews, Jesus was only a very normal person, with no miracles or anything really to stand out or make note of for His time here on earth. So, basically, he was nothing, just a normal human-being.
My very last quick question: why are there an actual The Holy Bible, saying Jews are the “chosen”, but also then the Jews (Judaism) have their very own Tanakh, also only towards Jews?
So, with all of this said and explained, the SHOCKING truth is that The Bible has not been translated properly, and a lot has been changed to make it more acceptable to all, and to tell a lie about the Jews. And even the Jews themselves knows this. But this is just kept silent, never told or made public. This is a sin, as our God demanded that the Bible is never to be changed or misinterpreted - no words, verses, passages, books, NOTHING to be changed and edited. So sorry to say, but all those of you who was involved in this sin, and those to do it in future, you will feel it someday.
So to all Jews, who don't believe in Jesus, and all idiots who think the Jews are the ONES... Wake up.

I also want to ask, simply. Is what we believe here that A) The bible is wrong (I completely agree) and B) we DONT hate the people who call themselves JEWS today!!! We like them, well equally to everyone else to be frank... BECAUSE we do not think the Jews of today were the people who were actually the chosen ones. Correct me on these two points, A and B. @@judges5258unfortunately, Judaism are still huge in the world. They have a lot of different beliefs, practices and teachings. Let me give you a quick list. Christians believe in God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Jews only in God. Jesus and Holy Spirit not. The founder of Christianity is Jesus. The founders of Judaism are Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses. So no Jesus. And also, as mentioned, they are maybe from Abraham and Isaac, but NOT from Jacob (Israel) as they claim. And they actually do know that. They also see that the promise made by God is ONLY for them. Which is extremely inaccurate, as I mentioned in my initial comment. Followers of Christ, well, basically anyone will go to heaven if you believe and follow. Followers of Judaism, only Jews. We read and believe in the Holy Bible. Jews only the Tanakh. Jesus was never born according to them, also why they only have the old testament in their Tanakh. Not the new testament because of Jesus being born. So, Jesus's resurrection also never happened according to them. Who can go to heaven according to Jews? Anyone born a Jew, even if it's someone who doesn't even believe in God etc. If you have the blood of a Jew, you will go to heaven. Christians, as the Bible clearly states, believe Jesus will return to earth, Jews only believe in a random new Messiah. There are many more I can add. But ONLY the fact that they don't believe in Jesus already tells me that Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and God won't approve of it, so as a Christian, I will also not approve of it. Again, they do see themselves as the "ONLY". They are the only ones going to heaven. And if you can read some of the other comments in this video, you will see many Jews opening their eyes and moving away from the evil Judaism.
Why? Because they made themselves the chosen people in those books that were written by Jewish people. You can write a book and make your people the chosen people if you actually come up with the idea of it.

4 REASONS YOU SHOULD NOT PRAY TO MARY
1. THERE IS ONLY ONE MEDIATOR
1 Timothy 2:5 says, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity-the man Christ Jesus.
This confirms we don’t need a “go-between.” We don’t need a middle-man (or woman) beyond Christ.
When Jesus died, shed His blood, and was raised from the dead the need to have someone (e.g. high priest) represent us was ripped away just like the curtain that tore from top to bottom.
2. GOD ALONE SHOULD BE WORSHIPPED
Luke 4:8 says, Jesus replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’”
Praying to Mary and/or any living or deceased saints is an act of worship…which is reserved for God alone.
When Jesus modeled prayer (Matthew 6:7-13) He began with, “Our Father in Heaven.” No where in Scripture is it suggested that we pray to Mary or any other deceased saints.
3. MARY WORSHIPPED JESUS AS GOD
In Acts 1 the disciples and about 120 believers were in an upper room waiting for the promise of the Holy Spirit (at Jesus’ command). Guess who was present with them? Mary. What was she doing? Praying.
Acts 1:14 says, They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus.
It’s important to note that the apostles weren’t praying to Mary as a go between. She was joined with them in prayer…to GOD.
4. MARY WAS A SINNER IN NEED OF A SAVIOR
According to Psalm 51:5 we are all born as sinners in need of a Savior, Mary included.
Mary was highly favored, not sinless. There is not one scripture to support that Mary was without sin. JESUS is the only one who never sinned (2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 4:15, 1 Peter 2:22) which explains why Mary had to be impregnated by the Holy Spirit.

Well said Father. The election is very much to do with Abraham. Not casting the Jews off in their unfaithfulness was very much to do with God remembering His promises to Abraham. And so God not casting us off utterly when we sin is because of Christ's Sacrifice -- when we 'remind' God of His Son's Sacrifice, by going to Confession and Holy Mass, then His mercy pours out more abundantly by Jesus' eternal mediation than even Moses' temporal mediation. Of Isaiah wanted us to think of a virgin, he would have written that, in a context that doesn't involve King Ahaz whom he spoke these words to. A virgin birth 700 years later would have meant nothing to Ahaz and his immediate enemies, the book of Matthew lies and misappropriated this passage to beguile people into thinking that Jes7s fulfilled a single thing. Father Mike, I am so glad I found you. Your video from 4 years ago about, Do good people go to Heaven?, showed up on my feed. I was born and raised Catholic. I will always be Catholic. I will admit though, while I have always believed in God, it wasn't until just a few years ago...I'm 61...that I found faith in Him. I have learned to trust only Him. I finally have peace in my soul. My problem...for lack of a better term...is all the stuff I am hearing about the Catholic church. People are saying horrible things about it. I'm sure you hear it too. They are easy to understand and follow. The lambs supper is an amazing book. Along with his other books really teach the catholic faith. Diary of St. Faustina is excellent too. Council of Trent with Trent Horn is awesome too. He explains alot of Catholic Theology we can understand. His book why we are Catholic lays alot of stuff so we are better prepared to understand the faith. CATHOLIC answers is a great resource for questions, concerns and they air weekly call in shows and its fun to listen as people from all over the world call with their questions. It does not invalidate that the Jewish people were chosen by God to share him with the world through his instruction of them and to participate in his salvific plan for the world. It costs us nothing as Catholics to recognize this, and in fact, we cannot profess to believe in the Gospel and deny it.
Jesus came not to revoke the law but to fulfill it, and God's covenant lasts for all time. He himself declared "...for salvation is from the Jews" (John 4:22). Yes, he then prophesied that believers would no longer offer sacrifice on the mountain or in the temple, but denying the part that the Jewish people played in God's plan just because that form of worship is ended is a critical error. He has not abandoned them any more in this age than he had during their time in Egypt or Babylon, nor indeed has he abandoned them any more than he has you or I whenever we have turned our back to him.
Finally, it is a critical error to conflate the Jewish people of today with some of the chief priests and pharisees (Nicodemus and others didn't reject him). The fact is that most of the people living today, Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Atheist, or otherwise, understand the truth of the Gospel well enough to truly reject it, because we have too few great teachers like Fr. Mike who are steadfast in their outward lives while remaining humble enough to attempt to preach and too many people who gnash their teeth, snarling at anyone who can hear that they are condemned if they don't listen.
