- Hi guys! Many say that the paddle sup is for flat and calm waters, the truth is that the stand up paddle has a great variety of disciplines, we have paddle sup race, paddle sup yoga, paddle sup rivers, paddle sup travesias, paddle sup foil, etc. etc But in one of the disciplines that is growing the most and many more suppers are practicing, it is SUP surfing or wave SUP. Stand up paddle surfing is a super complete and very fun sport, although this sport has existed for a long time, in recent years it has been growing rapidly, due to its appeal to be able to surf while paddling. A totally recommended sport for all those who are passionate about water sports. This video was recorded in Valencia Spain, last winter, lots of waves, lots of people paddling and above all lots of fun!

we were planning on going but what is the situation over there ? which beach town would you recommend for best SUP wave ( longboard ). thank you Ray
@@rayo1371 Everything has been rather normal along the coast of Manabí. Big cities are a mess. There are some outstanding waves for paddle boards and long boards but almost everyone uses a short board - makes it great us long boarders. I think the best place to stay is in Las Tunas. Of course, I am biased because that is where I have my hotel. We have a consistent wave and no crowds. High season is December until May. Hope to see you in the waves. Cheers, Jason

Do you get a lot of days like this in Valencia, with good waves, what with the Med normally being so flat?
Most in the winter time the north-east swell come, normally the Med is flat from March to November.
