- This country was closed for 40 years. Yes - nobody could go in. Nobody could go out. But why? This is the story of one of my favorite countries in the world.

For those who don’t know Enver Hoxha: He was a dictator for 40 years until 1985. He was the leader of the “People’s Republic of Albania”. It was a communist region in the Eastern Bloc with some other communist country in Eastern Europe. Also Eastern Bloc is a party or organization established in the 1950’s by Joseph Stalin.

Been there and it is amazing!! The country is still unpolluted. They have their own ways of doing things, still see their cultures and tradition and people are very friendly, food is amazing!! I was recently in Tirana, Albania. It's a beautiful country with great people. So underrated & not spoken about. So different to what I heard before going. I definitely recommend people to visit. Flights are also usually extremely cheap from London where I live

I actually live in Albania and it's one of the best countries. The things you guys said on this video are absolutely real and there really are a lot of coffee shops. For example in the capital city there could be hundreds of coffee shops. Thanks for your time.

Albania is really a fantastic country, it has many interesting things most people don't know about
First thing first I live in Albania and Enver has died and he was a good lider instead of those people now and don't tell that people are good there they dont care about anyone trust it's but there is a true thing coffe there is so usual you can't imagine. Near my old home in Pogradec there is a nacis base that was in Albania and there are still soliders in that base

I live in Albania, and I can still see bunkers around. I wasn't born at the time of dictatorship, and i feel really bad for all the people including my parents and grandparents who couldn't go out of Albania to visit others, couldn't go by their own religion and got to go through all of this. I'm glad dictatorship ended to make Albania a better version of itself and open for so many people to see its beauty.❤🇦🇱
Since when american Starbucks, McDonalds and KFC needs to be in every corner of this world? In my city it's hard to find nowadays traditional food since we are invaded by overly-expensive burgers, pizza and kebabs
Fr in my country there's no such a things (Montenegro, just above Albania) and we have both traditional and fast food. Total waste of resources to have Mcdonalds (I tried while being abroad, trash). We don't need it
