Thanks for posting this video. We are a small rental business out of Oklahoma City. We have been trying to decide which company to get our first dance floor from. After watching this the decision is much easier.
Hi Adam, just curious how the Palmer Snyder dance floor has held up compared to the Sico floor. Do you now have a preference between the two after using them for many years now?
I’m looking into starting my own rental company and really appreciate how helpful your videos are! I know you mentioned how much money dance floors are, I was wondering if you know anywhere that sells one of these brands used?
I’m sorry. I don’t. Sometimes the manufacturer knows of one of their customers selling off their dance floor. That’s how I got my first. A banquet hall had it fir s year and sold it later. Check with Palmer Snyder.
Look for online auctions too, we got a sico for like $1,300 for a 16'x16' ( 4'x4' ) with trim last winter. It was also 4 hour drive to pick up but well worth the time and trouble. We put small flat blocks under the corners and connector areas to keep down on it getting dirty and for leveling if needed, we also put a old sidewall down before laying out witch seem to keep the dirt and grass off the bottoms.
@@thetentguy I appreciate the response! I have another question if you don’t mind. I may be purchasing equipment from a small business that’s closing. They have 10 tents, about 300 chairs but in different styles, and 60 tables of different styles. If I buy this equipment, what should I buy next to make more money? More tables and chairs? Dance floor? Just trying to make as much money back as I can and don’t know what the best purchase would be. Thanks again!
If you’re targeting weddings from the get go, I’d get dance floor. It will first help to land a wedding, and will go out to most weddings you do. If not doing weddings first - more 20’ wide to 30’ wide tents with the tables and chairs for each. Until you’re doing a few large weddings or corporate events a week, it’s going to be about volume with the cheaper parties.

I think they are the same.
