Towel Capes covers film, television, comics, and games. Inspired by every child who has wrapped a towel around their shoulders and dreamed of being a superhero.
"I wasn't alive when this film came out." Shots fired.
One of my earliest memories was going to an event the year after, and I got to see the Batmobile in person. With my Batman t-shirt. And my Batman shoes. Not only was it the north star, the shining example of everything a comic movie could and should be, but the soundtrack. Prince on every song. Partyman, Electric Chair, Batdance...you don't like Trust?! Excuse you.
Keaton just anchored it, and played Bruce perfectly for me. Average build/average guy/realistic, and a likeable version of Bruce, which seems to be elusive for most. And yes, even the physical movements as a result of the costume limitations: iconic. The way he moves is the way we moved when we recreated these scenes as kids.
Them extra battips. The Batwing blocking the moon. "Love that Joker!" Vicki Vale. Knox. "You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?" Everything works. It will never be better for me as a lifelong Batman lover.
You guys are great!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
