when I do this, I usually reach 2.30 mins in the first try, then I improve (spontaneously) about 30 sec every try... up to 5 min. Pause between one try and the next enough. In my case it is always the same amount of time I spent underwater. It is extremely relaxing as you now you will never experience contractions.

I'm going to try this, as I can't seem to not hate contractions. I've gotten up to 4 minutes, static. But it isn't consistent AT ALL.

I kept my breath for 2 min 45 sec but didn't have any contraction at all. Does it start after 3 min? 😮😊
It's individual. 2.45 is impressive time. Just make sure you are not hyperventilating before the breath hold.
Same I think last time I tried I did 2:30 before it was too much

This table freedivers do until the first urge to breathe. On average, beginner freedivers can do somewhere between 1.30-2.00 minutes
