A Scottish band from Dundee in Scotland what a belter of a tune from the 1980’s, we Scots are not all about Hills, Kilts, and Haggis we make great music as well hello from us all here in Dunfermline Fife.
Their self-effacing name to the contrary, 'AWB' were anything but. They crossed the colour line and achieved success and credibility playing funk, with their tight, fiery sound belying their working-class Scottish heritage.
Although this band was classified as a "disco" act, there was nothing pre-packaged or overly commercial about them. They were true masters of R&B, soul, and funk. The term "Blue-Eyed Soul" was made for these guys, though acts as far back as The Young Rascals also worked the territory.
Wow, they knew the style and people who inspired them. 1970's African American. Brilliant. What great musicans and a brill tune.x Thanks for the history and memories of the band.❤
