I was very fortunate to grown up during the 70’s and 80’s when music was music! The clubs, free and having fun. Going clubbing every Saturday! The best. I feel sorry for most that did not have the opportunity to enjoy this time. Never again!! Ask your parents they know what I am talking about🤓🤓🤓🤓

Too many wannabe producers using software, plugins, pre-programmed elements and creating soul-less music with poor melodic structure and no feel. Real musicians create real music. The wannabes only try to mimmick whats around instead of trying to create something new and fresh and funky, full of soul and melody and energy.

My favorite group ever- Shalamar. I was rather shocked to learn all that went on when they were together singing. Amazing how Judy Watley said in one of her videos that she did not earn enough to afford a house. This is a group that in their peak was so popular we heard of them even in the remote parts of Africa and they did not earn enough money to afford a house. That's just incredible. I have long heard that the music industry in America is fraught with leeches, scorpions and scammers, it must be true.

Many artists were ripped off by their record companies…..and the ones that were not…by their managers….eg meatloaf, billy joel……you have to be very astute to survive with a mind for business and accountancy…..many were unknowingly levered out of owning their own songs.
One must remember that bands in the 70's and 80' were large, one can imagine the logistics nightmare it was to pay each member a good portion of the sales

Mike W. Sayers for us baby boomers..60's/70's. We had the Temps, O'Jays, Chilites, Smokey, James Brown, etc etc and it continued with Shalamar n some others, after that decade it disappeared..sad state of affairs now
