As someone who absolutely loves building in Minecraft I'm sooo proud of your house. Even if you followed a tutorial it is how you build the foundation for being able to make your own. Plus a lot of good builders will even follow tutorials from time to time.
Dumb question, but why do some builders put hay bales on the top of their chimneys? I haven't seen it often but Sean made it sound like a lot of builders do it. Do you know the reason as a builder?
I like your playtroughts. In the beginning of this you said that you have 50/50 chance of getting infected if you get hit. But actually it was a 100%. Every time a zombie touched you, the icon with infection would pop up, which concludes the aforementioned hypothesis. Also, you are a brave man for not trying to use a shield.
Getting that one gold in the cabin and finding the last gold you needed underwater to save yourself was the most dramatic and exciting thing I have ever watched. Another masterpiece Sean, keep it up.
Watching Sean build an actual foolproof plan that showed pretty much to be flawlessly working and yet somehow ruining it, that's just peak Sean right there
36:39 the reason why kim says “two birds with one smack” is because his Norwegian version is “two flies with one smack” which makes a whole lot more sense than smacking birds 😂
As soon as he mentioned finding a tower and using it as a base, the first thing to pop into my head was, "Can't wait for him to fall out of this and take damage." because it's always like that.
Sean does a lot of questionable things. He makes diamond armor when just one hit gets him infected anyways. He eats golden apples immediately after getting infected when he could just wait a bit since he cant be infected twice.
Useful tips: 1. Don't eat the golden apple immediately after infected. Wait until infection stage 3 is more effective. 2. Try milk bucket to debuff the effect 3. tower up two or three blocks can keep u safe from the plague citizens 4. Use slabs at the bottom of the trapdoors trap, you can hit their legs without getting hit 5. Use soul sand and kelp can make water elevator 6. use hoe to cut oak leaves is good way to get apples 7. Try to use fortune enchant to mine the gold 8. lantern is better light source if the torches can't sustain over time
This is probably one of the coolest builds I’ve seen Forge Labs do. Funny though because it takes him the entire video to build a house he should start doing 200 days in Minecraft challenges 😂
Wow I can't believe this man is so brave that he doesn't use a shield. Only a true brave man like this man would not use a shield in the face of such danger because shields are for cowards, people who hide behind a wall of steel but not this man.
Wow, I can't believe this man isn't using a shield. Only a man of honor and wisdom would do such a striking and strategic act of courage. This man has God-like abilities and coordination, and we simply cannot fathom and understand these abilities. Truly remarkable!
For future reference for building, you can also use snow blocks, concrete powder blocks, and concrete blocks as a white-coloured block instead of polished diorite. (Concrete can be dyed and is available from vanilla Minecraft version 1.12 and onward.) Bone blocks and quartz blocks could also work, but, personally, I'm not partial to using bone blocks and quartz involves going into the Nether. I'm also assuming you already thought of wool, which can also be used. Although, wool's texture can be a bit too messy in some places, as opposed to snow and concrete.
^^ yes, and also terracotta has a nice look sometimes! occasionally I use white terracotta, or mix normal terracotta with bricks. good to be careful with using it though cause white terracotta can look a bit… fleshy sometimes. sandstone is another good one for a not quite white but still light colored one too
Congrats! You survived a whole 100 days! No "that death didn't count," no last-minute death, just you being an absolutely AMAZING player! I wish you good luck on your next run!
yeah this other dudes right. its 2.5 hours, like a full ass movie. spoilers are sum u got to be careful about, it took me three days to finish this video cuz im so busy
. . . And so the madman is finally slain. He had survived the zombies twice, but he couldn't do it thrice. But he will still forever roam the woods, with his diamond armor donned and silver greatsword in his undead hand.
A mod I would recommend is the Lumberaxe mod. Using 4 cobblestone and two sticks, it makes a custom axe that can chop down entire trees at a time, but you don't have to worry about accidently cutting down your entire wooden house by forgetting to hold shift (by just using a normal axe for building and stuff). Personally I still add fast leaf decay as it annoys me to have to stand there and wait for leaves, and I've found those two mods to be massive quality of life mods.
I think it's because they don't even exist officially in 1.12 version of Minecraft, in which Forge Labs was playing in this video, and the only thing that kept those axolotls - is a mod. Apparently the mod has some issues. But I may be wrong
@@O111e they need a mod that spawns Lava Axolotl (like the first encounter Sean had with them), that are shy and just freeze whenever you look at them. They don't do nothing to harm you despite living near lava instead of water, just some good boys. Domesticate then so they trust you and start moving even as you watch them
Hey Sean. Just to give input, I love watching you do better at building. I love hearing you learn that mixing wood types can lead to better color pallets. Or learning that you can move walls and supports inwards and outwards to create depth. It seriously intrigues and excites me to see stuff like that. So just in case you were thinking it's boring... it's not. It's some of my favorite parts of minecraft videos in general.
You'd have to be a pretty shitty fan of minecraft to not enjoy the building aspects, I also totally agree, I find myself learning how to make my own builds more pleasing, I used to build cube houses and now my roofs hang over the edge at an angle and my walls have texture or depth because of pallets and structure placement
@@RhinoHorn7 I guess? I wouldn't consider insinuating that someone not enjoying a major part of the gameplay loop makes them not a fan of the main gameplay loop, as gatekeeping but you project how you want buddy
@@RhinoHorn7 the definition of gatekeeping is trying to stop someone from playing the game or just be generally controlling. please explain where I did that?
i know its been 5 months but at 1:53:35 id suggest setting your sprint button as "r". its right next to "w" and you wouldn't have to double tap w to sprint, if you already have a key for sprinting then just press it and look up as you're swimming and you'll go way faster. thank you for the content!
You could count all the cuts, assume there's 2~3 minutes per cut, then add 10 or so minutes per voice-overs (as edits), and then add some hours for finishing touches - that'd give you a ballpark figure.
Nobody’s talking about how all the Axolotls kept haunting Sean the whole time 😭 That lives in my head rent free now. Also Sean you keep stressing me out ?!
His start of rl craft will always be my favorite just how clueless he was and the stress. Genuinely enjoyed the struggle and learning everything too. It was all so unexpected. The text to speech made it hilarious to me also
I love that this is a horrifying situation to be in with all the infected civilians hacking and coughing while trying to also infect and kill you, and then every hit on them has silly onomatopoeia like "THWACK!, ZOWIE!, OUCH!, YOWCH!, KERSPLAT!". It's so hard to take it as a serious situation XD

"cull" meaning: To cut back or to lower the amount of something, usually to make it not in the way or a problem. E.G. 7 days ago I started watching, 7 days later I am still watching bc I savor these videos. I love when Sean mentions random stuff and then questions why he added it into the script. Comedy Gold! Edit: wow, thats a lot of likes!!!!!!!!!!!
What I love about Forge Lab's videos is how different they are. Sure, it's a hundred days, I bet we've seen lots of those, but what makes Forge Labs so special is that he doesn't actually have a plan. In every 100 days video I've seen it's like: "oH aNd On DaY 100 iM gOiNg To Go To ThE eNd" or "i HaVe ThReE gOaLs: x, Y, aNd Z." and it just gets so repetitive! Sean just sort of goes with the flow and doesn't add in all these unnecessary goals. It's just him trying to survive and you never know what to expect. And the music. Amazing.
Usually his stuff is also very very natural and unscripted. Every other video ive seen like this save for slimecicle’s absolute cinematic masterpiece are so clearly scripted to the point its genuinely just annoying and unbearable to watch.
It's funny that Sean (seemingly) had never seen an axolotl in Minecraft before - it's funnier that his first time seeing them was when they were uncontrollably glitch spawning and appearing everywhere.
Honestly I think it’s really smart of Sean to just rush in and keep fighting rather than run and immediately cure himself when he gets infected. It makes sense for him to wait until the coast is clear to cure himself rather than have a chance to get infected again and thus waste a golden apple Edit: Four
He still wasted basically all of them, it was honestly annoying me, if you know there are 3 levels to the infection, it only makes sense to use the golden apple, when you are at stage 3, otherwise its a waste, so he did waste them. Being infection 1 then after a battle curing yourself just so you get infected again, in my book is a waste. I get dumb for content, but holy.
@@HydesBlogI’m pretty sure he planned his death on day 100 bc I know he isn’t that stupid to use one everytime he gets an infection and he had exactly 1 missing good for another apple. His endgame reaction wasn’t even concerning like “nooooooo, I can’t believe I die right when it turned day 100”
49:13 I get that you probably know this by now, but axolotls(those things) are base-game Minecraft mobs, added to raise awareness about an endangered species. Although, to be fair, if I saw that many axolotls spawned in one place, I'd be slightly concerned, too.
Especially on night 10, when his intrusive thoughts were just "I should jump down there and battle the infected directly." He jumped down and instantly got hit by a plagued person, getting infected.
27:31 / 2:37:34 my favorite part. How do you fall right into the only sickperson around, loss a bunch of hp AND get infected. The only thing he could say I'm an Idiot. I felt that
Great vid Sean! love the concept. Also in case no one else said the hay bales make the smoke from campfires taller! It goes from 10 block tall to 25. Hope this helps. Also those axolotls are either cursed, broken, or someone is messing with you because these guys only spawn in specific places/caves, never spawn in those numbers, and hate being outta water so something is definitely weird.
I was thinking maybe a texture not loading in properly? I'm not well versed in Minecraft to know enough about it but Sean did say he was playing on 1.12. So it might be a mod not working properly or a corrupted texture of some sort? Just a guess cuz Axolotls aren't normally stationary like that either even when out of the water.
Yeah it's probably a broken mod. When I was a newer Minecraft player I messed around with a lot of mods and my gosh certain ones can corrupt or glitch so easily. It was still very weird though so it must have been a major glitch

4. Use slabs at the bottom of the trapdoors trap, you can hit their legs without getting hit

My favorite part of this video is his story about how detrimental the college he was applying for would be for his future. This man is hilarious
1:14:06 "Speaking of blending, i blended this mans brain." its probably gonna be funnier when out of context, no? just me? alright
Those axolotls were very unexpected and menacing. They didn't even move like what the heck?
They were just standing there.. menacingly..!
They likely didn’t have AI because of the weird spawn conditions
I think it's because they don't even exist officially in 1.12 version of Minecraft, in which Forge Labs was playing in this video, and the only thing that kept those axolotls - is a mod. Apparently the mod has some issues. But I may be wrong
@@muascar3076 Whatever it is, they need to keep it like this. If even as a seperate mod.
@@O111e they need a mod that spawns Lava Axolotl (like the first encounter Sean had with them), that are shy and just freeze whenever you look at them.

Edit: wow, thats a lot of likes!!!!!!!!!!!
Same here, makes me laugh.
I'm about to watch the rest of the video right now. I like to spread it out so I have days and days with Forge lab's video's
Amazing.
true his goal is usually just to survive in the beginning and if that doesnt work out it changes to not dying again
He had a pet axolotl in the morphing video
I love how Sean works hard and makes us laugh.
Honestly I think it’s really smart of Sean to just rush in and keep fighting rather than run and immediately cure himself when he gets infected. It makes sense for him to wait until the coast is clear to cure himself rather than have a chance to get infected again and thus waste a golden apple
Edit: Four
