    Thanks for the review. Not many serious technical testing reviews on this model. I took the plunge and bought one. I've had it for 3wks and so far no issues and does what they claim. I've not had solar connected to it so will be testing that when panels arrive. It charges fast even in default slow mode. The fans are quiet. Unless its being worked hard fans can't be heard from 2-3ft away. With power and ac on with nothing plus this is a legit company with a website that has been in business since 2012. I did a lot of research before deciding on what make to buy plus price played a major role in that too. The specs, features and warranty on this model made it the best choice. It came down to this or the Anker because they both were similar in specs and features but the r2500 was on sale for much less . So far no regrets. Build quality is excellent and like the Anker Allpowers claims to be using military grade components the same as Anker. I'm waiting for someone to take one apart to review what's inside. I own a Montek 1000 fantastic build quality and reliable station. Not seen any owner issues with Montek and so far the same for the r2500. I appreciate your honest review. If you decide to pop the hood and see the inside please post a video of what you find. Thanks again from Canada

      Thanks! Indeed, I try and provide real information so thanks for noticing! If I find I have extra time on my hands in the near future I'll break down and pull it apart... 😎

    The 4000 watt max draw is across all the ports AC, USB, Car etc

    Does the UPS support passthrought? (meaning if connected via AC it will feed directly appliances connected not engaging battery/inverter) thanks

    • @AlienDrones
      @AlienDrones  11 дней назад

      From AllPowers: In UPS mode, after connecting to AC power, the power supply of the device comes from AC power. After disconnecting from AC power, the power supply of the device will be supplied by the power station battery...

    My biggest problem with all powers pro 2000 is they don’t have the older 5521 barrel connector. So many electronics in the US use it.

    Great review, Keith. I have the AllPowers S700 and love it. We use it all the time to help reduce our utility bill. AllPowers makes great power stations. You covered the basics with this review. Also, really good production on this video! Thank you.

      Thank you for sharing and recognizing the production quality too, it takes a lot and goes unnoticed by most! 😎

      You are so welcome!@@AlienDrones. I worked in television for 7 years at our local PBS station and understand what goes in to making a good video. People are only seeing the tip of the iceberg in a finished video. BTW, I enjoyed your open!. My wife and I also do RUclips videos every week (Under the Median) on her channel about finances and frugal living. It takes a lot of behind the scenes hours to produce even a short video.

    Your prices are high, cost 830€ in Europe now with rebate.
    Thanks for this smart review, you should add
    - Power draw under no load AC off DC off
    - Power draw under no load AC on DC off / AC off DC on
    - Power draw both on
    Those are important factors

    • @AlienDrones
      @AlienDrones  Год назад

      By no-load power draw, do you mean current draw on the AC charging line? At full charge or discharged? Why is this important, meaning what parameter are we trying to determine?

      @@AlienDronesSome machines only need power time to time, so you keep the AC on even when the machine not use energy. Power stations loose energy when AC on even when the connected machine not use it.

      @honumoorea873 Год назад

      @@AlienDrones Hello, parameters we try to determine are the device's components draws.
      Many people need those devices for small power draw, let's say a 5W led lamp. If the device use already 15W to be switched on with DC out on, that's a global 20W draw and the usefull battery life is just one quarter. That imply that in some cases a 300Wh station can last as much time as a 500Wh station because of those 'no load' draws.
      They become important for small loads or when you need your device to be on all the time some device got an AC auto mode which will switch AC on in case a device is detected thus permit a huge battery saving in some uses.
      What I mean is that the raw power or capacity are not all, 'no load' draws are as important as economic features (turn off if no load for xx min, eco AC mode, screen off timer... etc).
      For people that will use the device under medium or high load, it will make no difference but for some others... It will.
      Most people will think.. 'I have a 5W led, it' s a 300Wh battery, I can light it up for 300/5 hours'... and man they are far from truce... 😀

    6:27. Before you plugged the AC load, the station was getting ~260W from Solar and ~950W from AC so the total AC input was ~1200W
    Why combined AC input dropped dramatically (from 1200W to ~694W) once you turned on your AC load (heater)??

    • @AlienDrones
      @AlienDrones  7 месяцев назад +1

      Part of it wasn't because the load was connected, as the charge gets closer to 100% it lowers the charging input. There are a few discrete levels where it decreases/increases as the storage level changes. It took me a few minutes while I was plugging in the load which was coincidental to the storage getting a few percent higher and lowering the input charging level. I think it also only allows so much current through the regulator at a time so if the load is higher the input is throttled as well.

      Nope, it was only good for 2 weeks I think. I just listed this on Gear focus today though if you're looking for one. This was only charged maybe 3 times so like brand new... www.gearfocus.com/shop-seller/alien-drones-gear-shop Certain this will go fast as it is discounted pretty good and it is pre-tested now so you know it works.
