One of the best tracks ever out of Norway. Never get tired of listening to the song, each listen hits me wonderfully. The title track from the album," Bleak House", doesn't come more than a short step behind this one. Great album, Rypdals definitive masterpiece! And it's from 1968, man. Really inventive.
This incredible song really shook me. Some days ago I heard it for the first time, since 60s. I can't help but listen to it every day. I found Terje out also. Can't find lyrics. Could you or anybody write it please ? (from Argentina)
What a shame a song like this will never be played on a classic rock station! They would rather play the same 200 songs over and over rather than expose listeners to old gems like this. You tube has allowed me to discover such gems.
I listened to thousands of records and disks, music is my real passion. This is a fucking awesome composition, I wish Terje reissues this album. ..... and I also wish the road never ends.
wow ... I haven't heard this in ages. I discovered Terje Rypdal somehow, I don't even remember. I sold all of my vinyl when I moved onto a sailboat and haven't heard this since.
Thanks for this video post! Grandissime musicalement! Magnifiques paysages! Amaising, it seems like Chemin del a Rivière du Nord in Val-David Québec, Canada... Musically marvellous!!!!!!!! Terje Rypdal, you captured my soul with this tune... Best Blues regards
the complete album where this track is taken you can find here if you Search for for Bleak House Terje Rypdal Its one of the best albums ever in Norway
knew some of Terje's works of the late 1970s and loved them too, but this one, man ... this is so good! i mean this might have influenced many in Britain as well as in The States in its own times ...

Terje Rypdal siempre fue un adelantado a su época!! Esto es de vanguardia para esos años!! Genial.!!!
Terje had for sure Peter as a big influence in blues music of the late sixties !!
Glad I stumbled onto this song. Fantastic! The video fits. No need for story and drama, the music is enough.

It was reissued in the late 90s. CD versions may still be available.
Extraordinario. Blues, rock, jazz, casi todo lo encuentro aquí. Una delicia de canción.

@lifeformlifeform Det er Terje selv som spiller fløyte her. Etter å ha hatt den i 1 år. Faren lærte ham den og sopransaxen.
