    We have to give appreciation to Callender. The number of high profile shots he blocked against LA is too good.

      They were strong shots, but they weren't good. I mean no disrespect to Callender, 2 of the saves were superb, but many were too easy giving the position of the attackers. Callender didn't even have to move.

    • @MikeLandwolf
      @MikeLandwolf 9 месяцев назад +88

      Not massively but somewhat. Messi would still create chances. I think Jordi makes Messi a little lazy, leo knows jordi will run for a ball and tackle, defend, win the ball so he’s laid back and trusts his teammates while Busquets narrates and jordi is a work horse. It would be much more entertaining to see Messi alone with only mls players and see him giving his 100%, yeah they would loose but what a glorious battle it would have been on every match. • @allenralph5233
      @allenralph5233 9 месяцев назад +3

      its his saves and penalty saves that are tops of MLS because to change to a goalie in a shootout instead of regular time PK that goalie has to already save 10 shots in the penalty rounds therefore no goalie is expected to be good at shooting on penalty kicks. it is in fact unimportant unless you choose your goalie to shoot in regular time as well. the reason it rarely comes up is because nashville sc played defensively to keep it close versus miami with their newer star players and so thats about how often youll see 10 penalty rounds in a MLS game.. has to be a playoff or championship game between two close teams that have to be close enough to go to tiebreak. so that skill isnt important for goalies because miami's main goalie is already the best tier at what they do which is save percentage also in pk and shootouts. just stating the obvious here i realize i repeated this.

Not the result I wanted, but I was only there to have a good time and was on my feet and chanting for the whole 90 minutes. LAFC lost this game after that first breakaway when Buoanga selfishly went for the finish instead of playing a WIDE OPEN Vela. You could see Vela's body language change immediately and he wasn't as involved in the press or the attacks made by LAFC in the remaining highlights, I assume most of the game was played this way.
    The impact Messi is making is tremendous. It is clear how valuable simple player chemistry is for a squad, you have Messi and Inter all smiles, where you have LAFC in black, hanging their heads and pointing fingers.
    Buoanga blew this one for his team, is my opinion.

      Alphonso Davies
      Kyle walker
      Trent Alexander Arnold
      Hakimi
      To name a few.

      Take it from a goalkeeper - Callendar had some shockingly good saves. The two semi-point blank ones were top tier difficulty. They weren’t big dives on longer shots that make the highlight reels but those are often easier saves to make.
