The paint-job is actually historical, it's of the "Blue impulse" squadron, they have one great liveries on the t-2 and t-4 liveries also (pretty much japanese blue angels but actually interesting)

@@francoarca2122 It would be bad because it's enduring confrontation and the game mode has a lot of it's own flaws that most RB players are just not aware of. For starters just having fixed spawn locations and perpetual respawns means that containing the enemy to their spawn is a huge advantage; i.e some variation of spawn camping. The other issues with EC are basically issues with the game as a whole; things like objectives just not working correctly. For instance AI planes smashing into the ground immediately and giving one side automatic ticket bleed, trying to chase supersonic F-86s with a subsonic jet, convoys spawning underground and having death beam AA, or one side having objectives that just spawn outside the limit of the battlefield...the whole game mode is actually just as big of a mess as regular RB. I am also not sure that it would scale well to RB either because a lot of the imagined appeal is that bombers and attackers would not be dead weight to a team and that they would have breathing room to function. The only reason that happens in Sim EC is because the population is small and most lobbies are less than 50% full.

And most solutions will create their own problems; for instance adding better AA will mean that more people will use the Airfield as a safe space and that safe space would extend further into the map. There is also just the issue of the economy and progression. EC is so bad for normal gameplay because people have basically abused the lobby creation system to rig games for so long and use the mode as a means to an end.
Historically speaking it's a fascinating plane. It's one of those cases where being first means it was also rendered obsolete within a few short years. In terms of performance it was the Navy's first supersonic fighter/interceptor, climbed like a rocket, was psychotically maneuverable, and incredibly unstable. The lack of a progressive afterburner really didn't help things, it had some nasty reactions if you weren't careful on the throttle. It never saw any actual combat, but its pilots almost universally said that if you could control it it'd tear apart literally anything with wings in a dogfight.

And the F4D is a f*cking joke, the plane that accelerates better than most 9.7’s, the plane that has better radar than most 10.0’s, the plane that has more shitty missiles than most 9.7’s, the plane that has FM allowing it to DF even Vietnam era machines (that are almost as manoeuvrable as props) in 2C (it’s sustained turn rate is more than 24deg/s at 650kph) at the same time having one of the best low speed 1C performance in the entire game and this “completely balanced” jet sits at 9.0 or 9.3 lmao. And the reason of that is that devs who probably play RB once per year have never ever played sim and have no idea what it is so their balance decisions are soooooooooooo weird most of the time. (F-8 at 10.0, M2K at 11.7 back in the days, Su-27 at 13.3 while Gripen and F-15A that both are way better in sim sit at 13.0, F4D at 9.0/9.3, AV-8 at 9.3 and 9.7, T-2 at 9.7, 21F that is worse than pretty much every 9.3 in every way sits at 9.7, 23MLD at 11.3, J-7E at 11.0 etc etc)
