How to Make Monte Cristo | French Toast Ham and Cheese Sandwich (ASMR 🎧)

Breakfast is probably the best part of the day and it deserves all the extra effort-the Monte Cristo is a great pick-me-up for your weekend mornings.✨ Also known as French sandwich, stuffed French toast, or toasted ham and cheese sandwich, this snack is already a meal in itself. My version is made with ham, three slices of French toast, gouda, and a creamy mustard-mayo spread. It's served with sweet fruit compote and bright creme fraiche, too, to give contrast to the sandwich's richness. Enjoy!
Monte Cristo ingredients:
3 brioche bread
1/2 tsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp Japanese mayonnaise
2 eggs
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 cup milk
2 slices Gouda cheese
2 slices ham
salt and pepper
1 tbsp butter
Cherry compote ingredients:
450 grams fresh cherries
150 grams granulated sugar
1/2 lemon juice
