    Thanks for the review, it helped me make the decision to buy one. I received it today and did a short ride. I have owned just about every bike computer made in the last 5 years, none of them have been perfect for me, i pretty much settled in to using the Wahoo's (i have all models), i used to use Garmin's (had the 1000, 830, 1030, 1040) and really like their navigation and lap summary page while doing intervals....pairing was one issue with them, always coming unpaired or trouble connecting. Tried the Karoo 2 and could hardly see the screen and the first ride i did using a route the battery died before i was done our hundred miler....battery absolutely sucked, and no bluetooth was stupid!!! Tried some other brands also, Lezyne, Stages (OMG the screen is so bright!!), even the Trimm! So i kinda settled on the Wahoo ecosystem because i could see the screen really well and i loved how easy it was to change settings with the app, battery life is pretty good and i like the routing. First impressions after my first ride with the new S800 are very good, the backlight doesn't look super bright when inside but when you're riding with the backlight off during the day the screen is really vivid and very readable. I love how each data field has the description in a big enough font, and longer than just an abrieviation. Also the color wheels are awesome!!! (something the Stages does really well also). So far the app has worked well without anything buggy so maybe since this video some things have improved, thanks again for helping me decide!!

      Wow, this is absolutely fantastic feedback. Sounds like you’ve really tried a lot of devices over the years. I’m really glad to hear the Stages computer is decent. I have one on my desk ready to test when I have more time. I’m a big fan of the ergonomics of Wahoo computers.
      I’ll be eager to hear more of what you think of the Bryton after you’ve had it for a bit. It’s nice but I don’t think it’s perfect. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍

    I just bought the Bryton S750. Got it for about 150$ here in Sweden. A main reason for not going for Wahoo or garmin is price. So far after a week I'm very satisfied. The saving makes It possible to buy a power meter 😁

    Nice video Matt, the only concern I have with Bryton is navigation. Like to see what Garmin comes out with. What is your opinion about Bryton Navigation?

    • @mlegrand
      @mlegrand  2 года назад +2

      Bryton uses OpenStreet Maps which is a great option. Ultimately, I've always found Garmin to do the best when it comes to mapping and navigation. It's a bit unfair as that's the companies core history. They've always been a navigation company. If you're not in a super hurry to buy, it's probably a good idea to wait and see what else comes out this summer riding season from these companies.
