You left out Heritage Park, The Calgary Zoo, Telus Spark, Fish Creek Park, The Glenbow Museum, The bike path system. Prince's Island 17th Ave and Kensington as well as Rafting on the Elbow and Bow Rivers.
Lol! Hey I can same the same thing about Toronto :). I’m always reminded of all the things I need to do around my home city!! Hope you get to do a few of these
Stampede is only fun if you like nightclubs or rodeos, Calaway park and West Edmonton Mall have better rides. Oh and 6 horses died in the chuckwagon races during Stampede this year
Michael Christopher yeah I’ll be the first to admit that we only stayed in the downtown area for 1.5 days and then ventured outside. It’s a great launching point though whether you want to stay in the city or head out!
As a Calgarian I don't feel like a tourist at all when I go to Canmore and Banff. Especially when 90% of the people that do work and live there are from somewhere else. Sure they went outside Calgary city limits but everything they did is under 1.5 hours away and Calgary is by far the closest major city to those places. It's almost like Canmore and Banff are mountain satellite cities to Calgary.
Calgary as I lived was born. However my beautiful husband received a job offer he couldn't refuse. I go back during the Stampede and 2 other times to visit my beautiful extended family and friends.
Going Awesome Places Thanks for your time. I suggest you go. I am going to the saloon in Banff. It's like looking for Clarke Gable..lol.its unbelievable. JUST go and stay away from the lynx and beats..lol. if you have any questions let me know. Good luck and please ENJOY.

Hey guys I’m thinking to to live permanently live in Calgary Alberta. RN I’m in Ontario Is it good decision for me to move there? I mean, jobs and stuff. Please assist I’m permanent resident here.
There are many bears in that area every summer. But never let that stop you from going. They want nothing to do with you. And for the most part, they try to stay far away from humans. When at Moraine Lake, I'd highly recommend doing the Larch Valley/Sentinel Pass hike. If there's a 4 person minimum (bear restriction) in effect, then simply join up with other groups along the way.
AlergicToSnow Moraine lake is gorgeous but Airdrie is very quiet and surrounded by water and mountains. Don't hold out and explore. I went water rafting every day on Moraine lake. Don't forget Ft. Mcmurry. It's where they film most American movies. ex; Sly filmed " Cliffhanger" there. I love the City. Bc is definitely beautiful but you don't get the mountains.
I know that is true! More of a things to do from Calgary since all our nights' hotels were in the city. Any recommendations you would like to share?? I would love to go back :)
@@GoingAwesomePlaces -Heritage Park Historical Village -Calgary Zoo Pandas there now -Calgary is known for their steak, go to specialty steak house: Vintage, SALTLIK -Shopping outlet CrossIron Mills -Many outdoor skating in winter - Stampede as many of your commenters mentioned -We have a museum Glenbow but personally I thought it was overpriced and not very good and it was nearly completely empty -Also since you like near Calgary ish Drumheller, hoodoos, in winter ice waterfall hikes, ice sculpture competitions in Banff, Edmonton Ice Castles
@@GoingAwesomePlaces You did the touristy stuff for sure which is usually a safe bet but very crowded! I know you probably cut most of it out with editing but Johnson Canyon must have been packed! As a local I like to take advantage of the vast wilderness and go find my own campsite on public use lands. You could also book a camp site and at least you're getting out into nature. One thing that's good to do if you're not from here is go visit or even stay at the Delta Lodge in Kananaskis. It was used as the athlete village during the 1988 winter Olympics and it's in a beautiful location! Sort of on the way to Banff but you turn south once you get into the mountains so it's still only an hour or so from Calgary. It has the hotel, like 3 restaurants, shops and a rental shop for outdoor equipment. Plus a horse riding ranch across the valley. Would be an amazing honeymoon or even wedding destination!
Calgary isn’t super touristy during regular times (I live here) but at stampede and Christmas the events are huge!!
agree
Calgary really is an awesome city. Glad I can call it home! Thanks for showcasing our great city
Loved it and hope to be back soon! :D

Lmao that moment when you've lived in Calgary your whole life but haven't done more than half the things in the video sksksk. Great video by the way!

I really hope I can go one of these days. I've heard so many good things about it.
Going Awesome Places well all the things you heard about are all true.
Stampede is only fun if you like nightclubs or rodeos, Calaway park and West Edmonton Mall have better rides. Oh and 6 horses died in the chuckwagon races during Stampede this year
Too bad most of it isn't in Calgary though

There really isn't much to do in Calgary.
Yomna Khaled true
the video would be like 30 seconds long if it was just calgary lmao
Great job on the video! Hope to see you next time you come down!!
Thanks!! Do hope to come back again soon :) So much to do in and around the city.
Calgary as I lived was born. However my beautiful husband received a job offer he couldn't refuse. I go back during the Stampede and 2 other times to visit my beautiful extended family and friends.
Kenzie Brooks tell me more about the Stampede! I’d love to go at some point.

Kenzie Brooks thanks! Love all the information and will definitely let you know next time I go to Calgary!
Thats where I walk everyday to catch my bus #1 😄😄😄😄. My lovely city
I love Calgary 😀
Number 1
Totally agree! Lots of things to see and do in and around the city :)
You might have flown into YYC but half of what you have shown is “ and surrounding areas/ Banff/Canmore etc. Which is at least an hours drive away.
If you are into simple things like
“eating” and “site seeing” then the Calgary “area” is nice.
Is Calgary great for homeless people everywhere?
Good video❤
Thanks!!

Hey guys I’m thinking to to live permanently live in Calgary Alberta.

I mean, jobs and stuff.

I’m permanent resident here.
Wish you kindly provide English subtitles as I am hearing impaired
I just purchased and added captions to the video!
It's all music and visuals.
I live in awsome Calgary
Grassi Lakes is my favorite place in the world
Charlee Whelen me too! Amazing to hike around, rock climbing heaven and drop dead gorgeous :)
What do you like about Calgary the most?
I really loved the view from McHugh Bluff, all of the sculptures scattered through the city, and hidden gem restaurants like Pigeonhole!
You went all the way to Louise but missed Moraine Lake. Too bad. That's one of the most spectacular views in the world.
I KNOW! My one regret. It would've been amazing to do although I did hear from some people that there was a serious bear alert that summer.
That's a good tip! Definitely want to do that area next time we go. Bear spray recommended of course right?

AlergicToSnow Sylvan lake is a manmade body of water. Nothing beats a warm HOT SPRINGS IN THE WINTER.
I live in Toronto hey the Rick am I watching this
Where is the luge ....I want to do that when I go in July.
The luge is at the WinSport in Calgary - the site of the former Winter Olympics: www.winsport.ca/
Nice
Thanks so much :)
Hey do you know stampede
Sure do! I still haven't been though but definitely an event you need to go to if you're in Calgary at the right time.
The cave exploring made me panic
I used to live in calagary so I’ve already seen everything in this video XD
what about the Stampede?
Definitely a good one if you're in Calgary at the right time. The Stampede usually takes place early July. This year it's July 5-14.
@@GoingAwesomePlaces damn right, love the stampede
you should change the name of this video to things to do in canmore
Neil Jefferies I know good call
And griffin valley ranch is nothing compared to the OH ranch, cause you have to be invited to go there :3
No wonder I never heard about it! Do you know how you can get invited?
Going Awesome Places 1. No, and 2. I went there as a field trip, pretty important to canada's history tbh.
Fail everything involves downtown which shuts down at 7pm, otherwise drive 2 hours to the mountain. Fail..
Quite the opposite.
The downtown nigh scene goes till 3:00am. What are you talking about?
I LIVE IN CAIGARY
👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
This is not Calgary in 4 days... Maybe It needs to be renamed to Alberta in 4 days which is not enough
Rats nest is fun
Such a fun activity to do. Best caving experience I’ve ever had!
Ah yes 2 ish days in Calgary
I live here
It's a beautiful city! Have you been able to explore all of these spots?
canmore cave tours? thats not in calgary ????
It’s a great day trip from Calgary!
i live here and i didn't know these places exist near me. FYI Calgary is pretty boring, nothing fun happens around here.
Not actually Calgary
I know that is true! More of a things to do from Calgary since all our nights' hotels were in the city. Any recommendations you would like to share?? I would love to go back :)

Will I was there first
You do not show the city and its vibrant neighbourhoods at all..just touristy stuff in other cities, Canmore and Banff are not Calgary at all..
I definitely need to go back!
I LIVE IN CAGARY
Things to do in Calgary: GTFO of Calgary! Only 1/5th of your video is actually in Calgary the rest is nearly an hour away in the mountains..
