These are wonderful interpretations of bossa nova and samba classics without a lot of the mucked up production that can ruin these magnificent songs. Laura Vall has a crystalline, expressive voice and even if you don't understand Portuguese (mine is so-so) you can understand the vibe.

I love this album! This version of Aquarela Do Brazil is the very best I have ever heard. My wife and I love practicing our samba to the songs on this album.
I speak fluent Spanish and English and hope to someday learn Portuguese so I can understand the lyrics behind Lauras beautiful voice and the exquisite guitar....well in my dreams to learn. At any rate a wonderful way to relax in these troublesome times. Keep it coming!

Brilliant. This resembles the playlist radio that accompanied me during my 6 weeks in Tunisia. One day on my way back there was a shortage of taxis, and I had to walk 2-3 hours back into the city with nothing but me and my music against quite a beautiful backdrop (don't know why I didn't take a single photo or pull out my videocamera 🤦♀️🤷♀️).
