Chick is such a master and genius pianist. Your transcription is the work of a musical genius also. As far as I'm concerned, you, and other transcribers, are from an advanced planet somewhere. Great job!
The moods, colors and impressions Chick creates are what make music fascinating to me. I started with 'Piano Improvisations' in the 1970's and have never looked back. Chick was really something special and he will be missed around the world for a long time. I'm grateful we have his musical legacy preserved in perpetuity.
That run at 3:54 is nuts; I had the fortune to see Chick several times with 4-5 different groups, he truly was one of the masters of piano. One of the most amazing song writers as well
So unmistakably Corea - couldn't possibly be anyone else. For me, it's not really pretty work but it is very compelling and being able to follow the brilliant transcription (I don't know how you do it!) really highlights Corea's magical abilities. Cheers and thank you from Sydney - Dave
Magnificent interpretation. Evocative, hopeful, romantic and skillful. I have listened many times and it has more emotional impact the more I listen to it.
Yikes! How do you transcribe something so complex? Not just the voicings, but the syncopated rhythms. Now that I see it written, it makes so much more sense to me. Thank you for posting this.
It sounds beautiful but I don't quite "get" it in terms of structure and musical meaning. I don't hear a main melodic or rhythmic theme or consistent motifs. It sounds just like a mashup of what could have been multiple different pieces all with their own character and style. I feel like this is just the outline phase where the composer had picked out all the different chords and color tones he was going to use, but they didn't actually wrap it up into a consistent package that can actually be intellectually interpreted in the common language.

Totally original on all levels.

I'm with you on that. I play and have done so for over 45 years, but transcriptions like this are mind boggling!
