Kindig's car building shop (it takes up a full city block) is featured on the Motor Trend Cable Channel. The 1953 "special edition" Corvettes had a several-week feature where they formed the molds, the dies, etc for these cars. Everything was computer modeled and hand built, with only the very best components put into them. These cars are designed for people with deep pockets who want a vintage Corvette of the highest quality. Its been enlarged nn the interior, as Dave Kindig points out. I think the winning bid was a little high, but then these are toys for the (really) big boys and you cannot get them anyplace else. BTW: Kindig spent a lot of time and development money to come up with the "blackest black" paint around, and people can see the difference between his "black" and commercial paint companies' "black."
