The Warwick, then the Ibanez
I agree. I'd even lean a little toward the Ibanez. The tone isn't as overbearing. But I think either could be cleaned up with the EQ.
That Jackenbacker is definitely not the one . Imo. The voicing is just weird.

Ibanez. No doubts
I'd say the Warwick sounded best for this song, followed by the Ibanez and the LTD. Modern sound with a nice punch, not too much growl, also not too clean. I even think they fit with the song in terms of looks, even though they're very different.
That jackson surprised me with its growly tone. despite it being ugly, it's tone is so badass
The Ibanez sits better in the mix with most of its settings than the other basses. That song is way too upbeat and cheerful sounding.
Awesome comparison, jayme 😎🤘🏻🎸 my personal favorites are the Ibanez, the Jackson, and Warwick. If you wanna check out an underrated bass brand, I personally would recommend yamaha. They make phenomenal basses. Their bb and trbx basses are definitely worth checking out.
That “Jackenbacker” sounded shockingly good, despite it’s questionable looks!!😮
Would love to know what Jayme thought of the basses used... which was his favorite, soundwise.
Jackson sounded best out the gate but the Charvel looks sick. Might have to look into their basses.

As much as I am a Spector lover, I think the Jackson fit the song best, because of the PJ pickup choice. It just gives it a nice precision and bottom end.
Warwick, Ibanez, LTD, Chavel, Spector and Jackson in that order.

Excellent video... Most sounded great. Was disappointed in the Spector.
i liked the sound of the Warwick and the ibenez the best but a lot of the songs had too much playing with the controls for me to get a good feel and judge if i liked it or not.

Wow LTD hands down. Probably one of the cheaper basses out of the bunch.

I think I'm gonna buy the Jackson. If you get that much punch it will give you more sound options. Dial it down if necessary for for a more mellow sound if need be. But it clearly had more bite than the rest.
The Ibanez was my favorite, the Warwick was nice also
Spector but I've found them to not sound good on slap ,would love to see you do similar video slapping 6 basses !
Not the song I would’ve chosen to demo these beautiful 5-strings.
For me it was the Ibanez and the LTD, surprisingly followed by the Jackson.
Charvel for overall balance of tone and cleaner sound with the track. Ibanez was a close second and the LTD was a great tone for a more heavier tone without overpowering the track.

As much as I’m not much a fan of Ibanez SR tones when they’re solo’d, I have to admit they almost always work in a mix
Cool thing is none of them sound bad, all could work and sound good and that’s cool! That said, I think the Warwick sounds best followed closely by the Spector.

I'd choose Spector, add some character plugs for warmth and the tone stays nicely defined.
I sold my Jackenbacker sorry to say. I think it was the winner because of how brite and clear the tone was.

No Warwick Dolphin bass so I'll stick with my Yamaha rbx375 or trbx305

The Spector sounded way better than the rest and looked the best imo, Spectors seem to really nail the low end while still cutting through in the mix really well.
I thought it was next to worst, just above the Jackson. Ibanez best for me. Normally I like spectors, but not this one.
I’m with you - Ibanez sounded the best right out of the box. Was also digging the Warwick. The Spector didn’t do anything for me this time - I usually like their tone.

Unpopular opinion. I like how charvel sounds in the mix, it is just not enough loud. Tonewise warwick is perfect as well. Ibanes is ok. The others are a bit off the style of the song
the first white bass and last jackson sounds more punky

The Spector kills!
Warwick and Ibanez are the best ones: at the same level for different reasons. I’m disappointed by Spector. Jackson sounded horrible imo. Ltd is just your average workhorse, nothing special but a good instrument. Charvel is good as well, but it seemed to be a little bit out of tune.
The Ibanez seemed to sound good the whole time. Didn't like anything from Warwick, the Spector sounded good at the end. Charvel sounded fine but didn't jump out. The Jackson sounded right for the style of song. The LTD was fine all around as well and jumped out more than the Charvel.
Winner for me would have been the Jackson

I don't see a reason for a 5 string bass in this song. Didn't like the sound of any bass you have used.
