I hope this will be like what Resident evil 7 was to the Resident evil franchise: a success that makes it terrifying while still being a good game, and what keeps the series going.
Since Konami lost team silent after the room. Konami lost focus on what a true silent hill game is. Glad to hear some of team silent came back to work on SH2 remake.
People make catastrophic predictions saying 'if this fails, it'll be over' as if the series weren't over already. Even if the game fails, this will not necessarily prevent the franchise from being brought back by a capable group of people.
It will be very hard to revive the franchise if this one fails. The only thing that has me worried is the thought that Konami might do a PT and cancel Silent Hill F especially if the remake of Silent Hill 2 fails. I really hope I'm wrong and that the game is released cause if they cancel it, I'll lose all hope for this series.
There's so much potential to Silent Hill. If the people in charge actually understood what they have, they'd realize what they've been wasting. I hope some great work comes from this. Works of art that don't hold back, really dive into pain, trauma, fear, atmospheric & environmental storytelling, psychological twistedness, madness, stress, suffering, sadness, puzzle solving, the obscure, exploration, searching around with a flashlight, maybe even using fixed camera angles in certain places where they think it could add to the aesthetic and vision of the overall game. Idk I'm just tossing out surface level thoughts as a way to express that I hope we see the return of the true raw ugly uncomfortable unacceptable unapologetic form of silent hill. The kinda survival horror, psychological horror we have come to appreciate so much.
My personal perspective as a Silent Hill fan is that its like in those soapy dramatic hospital shows where some patient is in a mysterious coma and the doctors are all poking them with experimental drugs like Ascension and Short Message and the Remake but nothings working and then the one edgy doctor who doesnt play by the rules pokes the patient with Silent Hill F and suddenly they get a little brain activity or a physical response or something so its like a glimmer of hope but theres no guarantee it will work and it ends on a cliffhanger. Thats how I feel about Silent Hill F lmao
What do expect from a studio that makes mid games like murder soul suspect etc we saw it with short message boring u can foretell what happens and the char talked to much and ughhhh that phone..... could have been better starting normal like always and then because of a accident or anything transition to sh city...sh sh message was like weeeee I'm in a haunted block so scawyyyyy for maybe like 5 year old kids....
Dunno even what to thonk. Some trust I have is towards Townfall. It's being developer by guys who made Observation - simply jawdropping, terrific game.
Yeah, that one is more intriguing to me to be honest, because details are even more scarce about it. But like in the video, Konami has a bad reputation with smaller devs so let's hope they don't push them too far.
This is the one I’m looking forward to the most. Both Observation and Stories untold were really good. I feel like I’m playing the same games over and over with different skins on. I’d like something small, experimental and silent hill.
Silent hill in Japan makes no sense to me at all. It's always been in a small town in the eastern United States. Konami is really screwed this up already smh
Im holding out hope for this game but you summed up my worries for it very well. Im still waiting to see if Konami is serious about bringing this series back in earnest or just trying to milk as much money as they can from the name while there is still remaining love for the series.
They should get Puppet Combo to make a SH game. They make great horror games in a very restricted format, so with a good budget I think it'd be a masterpiece.
I dunno man this time it seems different than during the PS3 era. I mean it has Ryukishi07 and the cinematic looks very high budget which gives me glimpse of hope, still Silent Hill f is a wait and see case for me. Anws I wanted to ask are you going to cover Silent Hill townfall, I searched online but barely found any info about it or how the gameplay will look like.
Townfall is the last one on the list when it comes to release, and it's most likely two years away. I think it's very early to talk about it now because there's not much detail about anything so far.
I gotta defend REsistance a little bit. It was quite fun, unique. The largest problem I think is it was a shitty apology side add-on for a game most people were disappointed with well before launch. The second largest issue is it received minimal post launch support. The lack of balance really hurt and its low profile, large paywall locked nature meant adding new characters, skins, maps and other dev time in general was likely destined to be a waste. If it stood-alone as a F2P with the same minimalist MTX and a dedicated team, it could still be popular to this day. Capcom likes to do this though. They're leaving truckloads of money on the table by not having a live service version of Outbreak With Silent Hill 2, you have to worry just as much about the combat being the wrong kind of bad, as well as having too much focus. Bloober isn't known for their combat. More importantly, anyone who doesn't expect it to make every effort to include more mainstream appeal are fooling themselves. There was no way in hell or on Earth Konami and Bloober wouldn't try it. Which is just further reason that 1 and 3 should have been the first remakes of any SH. Especially SH1. Both still need to feel like untrained everyman combat but a bigger focus on action lends itself to those games. Particularly SH3
Even if REsistance was balanced, I doubt it would last long. I got into matches that ended before I could do anything. So there was no point in sticking with it. Also Outbreak shouldn't be live-service. No game should.
They're going all in on this Silent Hill is a state of mind, thing. Honestly, ritual horror cult stuff is kinda played out, but it's not worth changing it, without a strong lore to replace it.
Honestly Konami should just give up on the gaming and focus on Pachinko machines instead. Sell the Metal Gear franchise to Kojima, sell Silent Hill to Capcom, and I think either Sony or Nintendo would be good enough to own the Castlevania IP. They are clearly an incompetent publisher and they clearly would rather save a few dimes than to invest a decent amount of money to ensure a game is high quality.
If selling IPs was profitable then more people would do it. The buyer would have to invest in creating more products related to the purchased IP and there's a possibility that at the end the product doesnt meet expectation nor returns the investment, not to mention it would steal attention from other IPs the company owns...
fuck it they should sell silent hill to Kohima too. PT is a cult classic and it never even released. Still excited to see what they can do with f though
Honestly you know what my actual worst fear of this is? My fear is that silent Hill F will be the resident evil 4 of this series. That sounds like a good thing and I love both the original and the remake, but it told Capcom by accident the wrong things that people liked especially because a lot of those people were new comers to the series. And thus, they're going to continue with whatever weird, not very related to silent Hill that silent Hill F will be and it's going to take a couple of games like that to go really shit. Even shittier than what we've had before before they have their residence evil 6 moment.
I'm excited about the Japanese setting and the 1960s timeline, which makes me think that it will not be like The Short Message. The main focus in Short Message was the modern issues of tennagers, and they tried to add other deep stuff here and there, but it didn't really work. That's simply not what Silent Hill is.
Even as a standalone game, it failed narratively. I couldn't take it seriously, the dialogue and the voice acting were not it, felt too expository. Making dialogue that show subtle emotion is hard when you're writing a teenage character apparently.
As a developer I see that their mistake is to care so much about a new narrative when in fact what fans want in SH is its old atmosphere. An abandoned city, under a dense fog to explore supernatural events. The narrative of the old SH is excellent, but the atmosphere is the icing on the cake
Very good perspective, I'm a film editor and vfx artist by trade who works with various production houses. I've been lucky enough to have some of my work put in theaters, but what you say about budget is very true. As artists working on projects we can only do so much given the budget or how much a studio wants to put into a project. The Investors level of commitment is key, because some people just want a product as cheap and quick as possible... the most bang for your buck if you will. We strive to make a project as perfect as possible, but we can only do so much if a company isn't willing to invest. I do Hope f turns out to be good, been a fan my whole life... Yet something keeps digging into me like a dirty little finger nail scratching at my brain and that is Konami. Time and time again they have proven themselves incapable of providing any worth, time or funds into their IP's.... For those of us who remember the horror that was "The year of Silent hill". The real horror was the damage konami did along the way. I'm cautiously optimistic, but a team that has little experience (and probably an even smaller budget). There will only be so much they can do. I'm just more worried that the meat of the budget went to the writer and not the actual team making the game.
So I’m a huge fan of the channel and i actually like hearing about your concerns it’s very enlightening however I would love videos dedicated to your excitement of the games and their potential too much love and best wishes
I think as fans,we need to stop comparing the future of the series to the past. What makes things so special,is knowing that it can never be replicated. We want to hate on Konami or developers we judge as unfit, unknowledgeable to portray the obvious feelings we once had experiencing these games but at some point we should try and grow away from what we think should happen. We need to grow as fans in order to ever be truly satisfied.
We all had flops in our career path or two, like Resistance, but second chances are there for the devs, so if they can make a come back and make a great restart with F,
Im not a real Silent Hill fan. never played a game but iv known of the series, watch SBFP play Silent Hill games. out of all the games initially teased, F stood out the most to me. then i also learned that the story is by the guy who did Higurashi. iv been looking it up every now and then to check up if theres any news/teasers which is why i ended up here. thanks for making this vid
I really want them to give us more news on the game. The trailer got me excited since i love that it'll take place in 1960's Japan and the short teaser looks creepy. I just want a good SH game.
I want to add to this that as someone who is a super huge die hard Castlevania fan, I remember being really excited to find out that kojima was going to be involved in the new next gen Castlevania games, the Lords of Shadow, and then I saw what those games turned out to be, particularly the first one, which decent game and of itself, but wasn't Castlevania. I'm afraid that them really relying on that writer might end up the same way. In addition, something that really makes me worried about the narrative, as we know it so far is the fact that it seems they've like relocated everything so that the author could use his strengths. He seems to be very much a Japanese person and tuned with Japanese things. So they moved this story to Japan and it bugs me a bit because I think one of the untold strengths of silent Hill, which is why I think the sequels after 4 didn't work is Japan's interesting twisted view on what America is. I think that's what also made resident evil work, which is why I think seven their return to form worked really well because it was like a Japanese perspective on what the American south is like which to Japanese audiences would be horrifying because it's so unfamiliar but to American audiences it's horrifying because it's so familiar. I love how when people talk about resident evil 7 and they talk about the scariest things. They never mention any of the monsters or gross out scares. They always mention that dinner scene because every American has had that type of Thanksgiving dinner scene in their household and it's just horrifying and to me it's stuff like that that's missing from silent Hill. And I feel that origins and beyond by being made by Western and especially American developers. We Americanized it because this is our home turf. What made silent Hill that off-brand a creepy is? It's like a Japanese tourist trying to describe what America is in Americana is, and that to me adds to the whole. Why the other world and the horrors don't seem to make sense in a good way to the Western Audience.
babe wake up, KazzaGamesTV just posted a new video !!! damn I love your channel. Like. I love watching analysis, essay etc.. but with the same youtuber. But yeah, the Silent Hill community is not that active sooo... But thank god your here, with amazing videos, montage, script, and good explanation !! please keep going !! This phenomenon of destruction of works of art is strange. It's as if all the game and movie companies are purposely destroying all of their legendary works. I remember that it started with Disney destroying Star Wars (RIP) then it was the turn of Marvel films, and then TWD, LOTR, Matrix... now it's the turn of games.
Resident Evil Resistance is actually a really fun game with Great characters. The forgettable RE/Biohazard games are Re:verse, Dead Aim and Umbrella Corps.
While I do think it'll be a good game for sure, I am worried they are just using the name to make a Japanese horror game. Silent Hill is a town, are we to assume that Silent Hill won't even make an appearance or be at all related? Cuz that's kind manipulative to pull on fans who want a return to that foggy mysterious town.
I honestly hope that Capcom buys the rights from Konami at a discount if this flops, it would feel right, Konami doesn't deserve it, Capcom should do it, they're too big to fail.
@Ostrava_Of_Boletaria Konami hates their most important franchise, the problem is Konami imho, anyone buying the game should hire the original dev team, writers, artists, musicians...
I'm really confused by Konami. If they don't want to treat Silent Hill like a big thing, then it won't be. They want some magical world where they spend basically nothing on a project and have an incredible return on it. If the small team they hired is passionate about Silent Hill, though, I think it could turn out really well. I love good stories, so if Ryukishi has a positive reputation I'm happy. Ideally Konami will give them as many resources as they need with little outside influence but I know that probably won't happen. The Short Message worries me though. The things that were good were really good, but the things that were bad were pretty atrocious. The monster and audio design was excellent, but the dialogue and execution of its themes was actually embarrassing imo
i think best case scenario is that forte ends up being a good game, but probably still wont be a silent hill game in anything but title. the whole thing with silent hill is that whatever happens is connected to that town and what went on there, so unless they pull the deepest lore through their own irl cult sacrifices...
It's weird that I didn't talk about that game to this day. I guess I didn't find the proper place for it. I hear it's good, but I need to play it myself first. I was busy replaying old games recently.
@@KazzaGamesTV nice little game. Their previous game, Cineris Somnia, while having dated graphics and controls and being less of a horror, is a hidden gem of emotional story telling. It captures Silent Hill 2 atmosphere nicely, not in a horror way but rather in emotional one. Very recommended.
This literally made me laugh lol. I swear I googled the Japanese name and searched multiple websites about the flower and didn't even notice that the language is not Japanese. I think the Chinese share the same traditions about the red spider lily because their websites are all over the search results. Anyway, what I said about the flower in Japanese culture is accurate because I also read it on English websites.
I just checked. The flower has the same name in Japanese and Chinese. That's what caused the confusion for me. And as I thought, both countries have similar deep traditions related to the flower.
I loved Resident Evil Resistance, the game had tons of people playing even after 1 year of its release, it wasn't that big since you could only play it if you had the REmake no one liked lol, but it seems the developers really tried to fix the flaws of the gameplay with a lot of updates, I hope they are as transparent as before with this new Silent Hill game even if this is not a multiplayer game, and that Konami gave them a decent budget ofc
Silent Hill F strikes to me as an attempt to bring together the concepts of Silent Hill and Siren (same creative minds). The psychology of Silent Hill plus the in your face danger and intensity of Siren. At least I hope. That I could really get behind and would show me someone really knows their stuff. Silent Hill: Forte. Or you could say LOUD. Like a Siren. No game no hype but I see what they are doing with the concept and I really like it. I'm am picturing something that plays like Shattered Memories though amd that scares me.
It's all in the trailer, stairs.... Stairs.... Red spider lilies, Shinto doll, Shinto ritual musical instruments. Might be escaping an ascencion of sorts... Or it might just be f for fachincko 😂
I don't know what to think but I'm cautious with Konami after how they treated Hideo Kojima many moons ago and pulling that project P.T off the PlayStation store site and how they hire smaller studios so when they fail the smaller studios appear it was there fault, I'm hoping there not pulling the same stunt with blooper team as they might Surprise us completely and it's a great game, wasn't it Konami that leaked that gameplay demo when blooper team knew it wasn't ready yet? they don't really paint a picture of faith with me when it comes to Konami but I would absolutely love to be proven wrong, and silent hills looked incredibly promising with great direction and actors with two of my most fav people on board and konami canned that pretty quick, so you'll have to forgive me for my cautiousness, that short new silent Hill demo/game was ok, but im pretty sure it was a test of interest with everyone, i really appreciate this video you've put together but i look forward to the silent hill future with great cautiousness
So the remake isn’t even out yet and we’re already having more hope for Silent Hill f? At this point I’m just going to be pleasantly suprised if anything Konami delivers from now on is good.
I wouldn't hold that against them, Resistance was essentially just REmake 3's multiplayer mode, not even really a full game. I'm not sure about the studio though, I'm only familiar with the writer, and that's enough to at least be optimistic.
this game will definitely not be making numbers due to its DEI connections. but the franchise will not be dead. it will linger as it always has waiting for someone to truly bring the game back to its roots.
Ugh...they dont get it anymore. A big part of the appeal of series like silent hill and resident evil is the japanese take on a western setting. Thats the secret sauce. It gives it the ethereal feel, like it feels familiar but foreign at the same time to us. Without japanese developing and the western setting, its pointless
@KazzaGamesTV, The one game of the franchise I really liked watching on here on RUclips yet disappointing that it never got finished was P.T. that was something i would love to see turned into a horror film. which I will say the horror game LUTO that should be coming out and I hope you got to check it out because watching the trailer looks like it would come Close in my honest opinion to what P.T. could of what have executed in the psychological department. Actually I take that back, VISAGE was an excellent answer to P.T. Having that said SIlent HIll F. looks Beautiful and unique i think the psychological route would be the best route to go because the blood and guts of violent fighting in horror games can be very typical, and in movies too, however some violence ive seen in the horror genre can be excellent if there is a great story, which is where i would hope SIlent F would give us. Oh and Konami???, what Ive watched this video talking about him makes me feel very CONFUSED. Why not use a high budget if your want to your game to succeed I meant granted you don't have to spend a lot of money to make an amazing game tho you want to make sure the graphics and the story a good quality,
Oh yes, Silent Hill f or also that I would like to call it: _Silent Hill: The Siren_ ... ... ..get it?. 😂 Anyway I have some hope with the title, it could be good or bad, the time will tell.
Silent hill has a lot to live up to because it’s lived in resident evils shadows for years but I hope the remake and the Japanese concept game smashes it
I hope this ends up as a good game. My personal concern is that this doesn´t look like a Silent Hill. We are missing the main point here; the franchise is named "Silent Hill" because events happens IN SILENT HILL, a city in the US. TF are we doing in Japan??? This is something that also happens with Resident Evil. Recent games are good but RE is supossed to be about zombies, yet the new games have werewolves, vampires, robots and other things that doesn´t make sense in the franchise. I would prefer this one to have another title because this been a Silent Hill game only makes me feel like they are using the name of the brand to profit with more money, which in the end will be counterproductive because it won´t feel like a Silent Hill.... because it isn´t.
Also, F is being developed by devs from Taiwan - a free, independent state in case comrade Xi listens. Anyway, given the earthquake and its sad, even horrifying consequences I doubt F will come out on time, if it'll ever come out at all.
@@TheJackal917You're both correct, Neobards' headquarters are stationed in Hong Kong, but their dev studios are in Suzhou, China and Taipei, Taiwan. The devs handling SH f are the ones in Taiwan. The director of SH f: Al Yang, on X said: despite the earthquake everyone is currently doing fine at the studio besides some desk toys being knocked over, so development on f shouldn't be altered too heavily (the earthquake did not hit directly near Taipei where their studio is stationed, though obviously they were still effected by it to some degree).
Silent Hill 2 looks like a fantastic AA game & I think will be successful enough to carry the franchise to a part 3. This side story doesn't mean anything
If they keep letting that consultancy company changing what ever they want for “modern audiences” the franchise is going to die for real. I hope silent hill F will not budge to this woke epidemic.
if one wanted to play devil's advokat, one might say, maybe konami hires small indie studios to re-create the "a ragtag bunch of newbies made this" thing of the very first silent hill. ^^; so far without luck but, at least this time they try a team from asia...
I'm holding back from being excited. The studio making it, the designs from the trailer being very reminiscent of Short Message(they had to see the visual similarities so it could be signaling a through line), I hope it's good but until we actually see it, I'm not expecting much. And Konami being Konami definitely does not help.
So I might be getting way to ahead of myself, but incase this game disappoints I want to ask everyone here something. So I love Silent Hill. It personally helped shape what I love about horror. And I think a lot of people relate. The first four Silent Hill games are amazing and even some of the later ones have their moments. This series undeniably influenced gaming and horror in major ways. But does anyone else think Silent Hill isn't special anymore and it hasn't been for years. Not saying it isn't special to people, but more so in gaming. Like Silent Hill had it's moment. It left an impact. Lots of people revere it. It's gone on to inspire a lot of people. And as much as I would love for it to come back. Maybe it's best to move on.
Horror fans are extremely picky and critical about every little thing it seems.. not only that they also get way too involved in things 😅 I liked the short message because it was very personal and realistic.
🤦🏻♀️It was over for the franchise when they cancelled Hideo Kojima's installment, plus With Silent Hill F I just feel bad for the developers who are gonna be working on it. just based on the high tension surrounding Silent Hill 2 remake, ascension was apparently really bad, and clearly that free "the short message" thing already doesn't have a good reputation. Not a good sign for us Silent Hill fans.
I hope Silent Hill F isn't just gonna be a jumbled mess of Asian horror tropes. Black haired creepy dolls, spider lillies growing out of a pool of blood. Then again, I'll be shocked if there isn't a bunch of forced chase sequences with the grudge girl and badly handled themes of child abuse (again).
@@tapwaterandhairstraighteners Is that the one "supernatural schoolkids terrorize each other" kinda story? I'm not the target audience for that, sorry. How does it relate to anything I said though?

I love feminism I love flowers the trailer looked absolutely amazing it looked like it was actually going to be set in Japan which I love. I'm deeply hoping for a female protagonist to play as instead of a man, I am very much looking forward to this game and I am really excited for it and I hope that it will be amazing because that trailer looked phenomenal. So I'm keeping a little hope up, I'm hopeful and I'm excited and I hope it does really well. I also think that for a small studio that isn't famous the fact they are able to produce a trailer that amazing with artwork and graphics as well as music of that quality is pretty helpful to begin with. I will say I don't trust Konami with anything because they're an absolute evil company and they've heard a lot of people between messing with small studios and brutalizing employees that have worked directly with them.
GOOD I'm tired of the series being repeatedly butchered and screwed up by not only its parent company company but some studios that either don't care about the universe/franchise or are flat out incapable of doing it justice be it because of meddling or flat out incompetence I'd rather see something I legitimately love and am passionate about die rather than see it be revived over and over for lacklustre or flat out bad experiences, Silent hill is probably the only franchise I know of whre the majority of its subsequent entries after the original are flops.
I hope this will be like what Resident evil 7 was to the Resident evil franchise: a success that makes it terrifying while still being a good game, and what keeps the series going.
My exact hope, seems not a lot of people believe it possible.

Quite specific comparison XD but I relate somehow
What do expect from a studio that makes mid games like murder soul suspect etc we saw it with short message boring u can foretell what happens and the char talked to much and ughhhh that phone..... could have been better starting normal like always and then because of a accident or anything transition to sh city...sh sh message was like weeeee I'm in a haunted block so scawyyyyy for maybe like 5 year old kids....
@@AG2-fukumeanbro silent hill short message is for free.
@@AG2-fukumeanbasically a watered down PT if you think about it
Lol why didn’t you like the short message though? I loved it
Dunno even what to thonk.
Bonk
thonk
solely my opinion but silent hill f looks more like a forbidden siren game than a silent hill game ngl.
Silent hill in Japan makes no sense to me at all.
It's always been in a small town in the eastern United States.
Konami is really screwed this up already smh
I was thinking that as well.
Im holding out hope for this game but you summed up my worries for it very well. Im still waiting to see if Konami is serious about bringing this series back in earnest or just trying to milk as much money as they can from the name while there is still remaining love for the series.
There will always be love for this series.... But only those games worked on by Team Silent.
At least, that's sadly how it seems.
Ah I see you're still a bit naive, corporations always value profit over everything else, so I'm sorry to tell you it's probably about milking it...
Poor fella... Sad to see some people use words like ''Konami'' and ''hope'' in one sentence.
They should get Puppet Combo to make a SH game. They make great horror games in a very restricted format, so with a good budget I think it'd be a masterpiece.
Honestly, they should have re-made the first one.
I think it earned an update, at least visually.
@@KazzaGamesTV Oh. I didn't know that, I thought it was a project in between SH2 remake and SH f.
They're leaving truckloads of money on the table by not having a live service version of Outbreak
With Silent Hill 2, you have to worry just as much about the combat being the wrong kind of bad, as well as having too much focus.
Considering it's being written by the same person behind Higurashi, I have very high hopes.
Cool, now they can invest more time in reviving yugioh and making it balanced
fuck it they should sell silent hill to Kohima too. PT is a cult classic and it never even released. Still excited to see what they can do with f though
i hope they will not make it 1st perso
Very good perspective,
I'm a film editor and vfx artist by trade who works with various production houses.
Can't wait to see how the new game board of Silent Hill, Japan, 1963 will turn out.
We all had flops in our career path or two, like Resistance, but second chances are there for the devs, so if they can make a come back and make a great restart with F,
I agree.
This reminds me of TheGamingMuse’s documentary videos on the first 4 Silent Hill games.
I just want the first four properly remade. After that, I’m all set. Well, a Parasite Eve remake would be lovely(even though it’s not Konami).
babe wake up, KazzaGamesTV just posted a new video !!! damn I love your channel. Like. I love watching analysis, essay etc.. but with the same youtuber. But yeah, the Silent Hill community is not that active sooo... But thank god your here, with amazing videos, montage, script, and good explanation !! please keep going !! (yeah and sorry for my bad english ahah)
It's amazing to know that you're enjoying the videos this much.
Dont forget last of us part 2 ugh wokeness
I hope F works out well, I really want to play it.
Resident Evil Resistance is actually a really fun game with Great characters. The forgettable RE/Biohazard games are Re:verse, Dead Aim and Umbrella Corps.
F better be for Frightening as Fawk.
Konami are crazy how they do things.
Tried to give REsistance another shot in like October in hinor of spooky month. Could not even get match going. At least on xbox
I honestly hope that Capcom buys the rights from Konami at a discount if this flops, it would feel right, Konami doesn't deserve it, Capcom should do it, they're too big to fail.
@Ostrava_Of_Boletaria I regard myself as the regardetest. Wdym by ours? Maybe From Software should buy them then.
@Ostrava_Of_Boletaria Konami hates their most important franchise, the problem is Konami imho, anyone buying the game should hire the original dev team, writers, artists, musicians...
i remember that playable teaser that had a few years ago before they axed it. i wouldnt be excited for F. just assume it isnt going to happen
Did you make a video on Hollow Cocoon?
It's weird that I didn't talk about that game to this day. I guess I didn't find the proper place for it. I hear it's good, but I need to play it myself first. I was busy replaying old games recently.
@@KazzaGamesTV nice little game. Their previous game, Cineris Somnia, while having dated graphics and controls and being less of a horror, is a hidden gem of emotional story telling. It captures Silent Hill 2 atmosphere nicely, not in a horror way but rather in emotional one. Very recommended.
I just hope someone can buy the IP from Konami. It hurts being a Silent Hill fan.
That's all sort of meme. Press F for Silent Hill.
I’m excited about Ryukishi07’s involvement, but I’m apprehensive of the dev team. Their biggest game is Resident Evil Resistance.
"Will the next Silent Hill be a failure? It's called F and it's not set in Silent Hill" Ok, there's your answer.
Half of third one and 90 percent of the room were not set in silent hill just to remind you
Itimatu Suzuka already made this game; YASO Curse of Soiree

Trust me bro, I have done research in Japanese websites! (screen shows chinese simplify)
What’s the game in 10:38 ?
Silent Hill Lost Memories
I loved Resident Evil Resistance, the game had tons of people playing even after 1 year of its release, it wasn't that big since you could only play it if you had the REmake no one liked lol, but it seems the developers really tried to fix the flaws of the gameplay with a lot of updates, I hope they are as transparent as before with this new Silent Hill game even if this is not a multiplayer game, and that Konami gave them a decent budget ofc
Very good video guys this was great.
Let's just hope there will be a spiritual successor some day, that not FUCKING SUCKS.
It's all in the trailer, stairs.... Stairs....
Red spider lilies, Shinto doll, Shinto ritual musical instruments.
Might be escaping an ascencion of sorts...
Or it might just be f for fachincko 😂
I really thought Townfall(?) Is the next mainline game and f is just a side game like Short Message and Ascension… really excited for f tho
Brooooooooo. It's been 2 years already
Fsake, I'm getting old
I'm a fan ride or die baby
I wouldn't hold that against them, Resistance was essentially just REmake 3's multiplayer mode, not even really a full game. I'm not sure about the studio though, I'm only familiar with the writer, and that's enough to at least be optimistic.
this game will definitely not be making numbers due to its DEI connections. but the franchise will not be dead. it will linger as it always has waiting for someone to truly bring the game back to its roots.
ryukishi07 if you can hear us please save us ryukishi07
i still have faith in the sh franchise will return to its roots with the remakes
I'm really hoping this SH game will at _least_ be solid. Obviously not expecting a massive success, but something modest.
Why not use a high budget if your want to your game to succeed I meant granted you don't have to spend a lot of money to make an amazing game tho you want to make sure the graphics and the story a good quality,
Oh yes, Silent Hill f or also that I would like to call it:
_Silent Hill: The Siren_
...
...
..get it?. 😂
Anyway I have some hope with the title, it could be good or bad, the time will tell.
It seems like they try to throw everything at wall and see if anything sticks.
Silent hill has a lot to live up to because it’s lived in resident evils shadows for years but I hope the remake and the Japanese concept game smashes it
Great video man
I hope this ends up as a good game.
My guys at it again! Keep the quality coming brother✌🏾
Also, F is being developed by devs from Taiwan - a free, independent state in case comrade Xi listens. Anyway, given the earthquake and its sad, even horrifying consequences I doubt F will come out on time, if it'll ever come out at all.
Nope, it's developed by devs from HK and the story is written by ryukishi. Actually, without ryukishi, silent hill f WILL 100% fail.
@@j3fk4 thamks. Probably, misread some stuff in the past. Genuinely thought they were from Taiwan.
So F is the truth . We wait and see😊
SOMEONE needs to just fuckin' buy the rights to silent hill from Konami already. I'm convinced it has to happen in my lifetime eventually.....
Im new here, but i enjoy your content so you got yourself a new subscriber😁
Welcome aboard. Glad to have you here.
Silent Hill 2 looks like a fantastic AA game & I think will be successful enough to carry the franchise to a part 3. This side story doesn't mean anything
Scott Buckley background music nice LOL.
If they keep letting that consultancy company changing what ever they want for “modern audiences” the franchise is going to die for real. I hope silent hill F will not budge to this woke epidemic.
Preach to the choir on that one
if one wanted to play devil's advokat, one might say, maybe konami hires small indie studios to re-create the "a ragtag bunch of newbies made this" thing of the very first silent hill. ^^; so far without luck but, at least this time they try a team from asia...
This video didn't age well.
Horror fans are extremely picky and critical about every little thing it seems.. not only that they also get way too involved in things 😅
I liked the short message because it was very personal and realistic.
🤦🏻♀️It was over for the franchise when they cancelled Hideo Kojima's installment, plus
With Silent Hill F I just feel bad for the developers who are gonna be working on it. just based on the high tension surrounding Silent Hill 2 remake, ascension was apparently really bad, and clearly that free "the short message" thing already doesn't have a good reputation.
Not a good sign for us Silent Hill fans.
Silent Hill (press) F (to pay respects)
Silent Hill F is highly inspired by the anime Hell's Paradise
I hope Silent Hill F isn't just gonna be a jumbled mess of Asian horror tropes. Black haired creepy dolls, spider lillies growing out of a pool of blood. Then again, I'll be shocked if there isn't a bunch of forced chase sequences with the grudge girl and badly handled themes of child abuse (again).
Saying this is insane. read higurashis onikakushi chapter and come back to me lol
@@tapwaterandhairstraighteners Is that the one "supernatural schoolkids terrorize each other" kinda story? I'm not the target audience for that, sorry. How does it relate to anything I said though?
Let's find out if that _"f"_ in the title isn't an omen.
Wait what? Japan?? How a place in us suddenly in japan?? Why not make different game that similar to silent hill with different title? 🥴
Because that well run dry at least 12 years ago.
@@Renoistic well? What well??
Let's hope that RESISTANCE was just a result of low funding and bad time constraints :(
What is resistance
I always preferred RE over silent hill, but I’m definitely interested in a new game
Stay tuned for the next video. It's a big one about RE.
As a kid I loved Resident Evil. As an adult it's my least favorite horror series
Honestly I absolutely love the look of this game and I can't wait for it.
My issue with this game is in not taking place in the eastern United States like all the other games
I think it SHOULD technically be a good game, but we'll see.
I am not impressed, but who knows, maybe the flowers of evil theme might have something interesting going on.
