Got this with the carbon fiber shaft myself with the 2.5 battery, wish it had the bigger battery though, but mines an absolute beast ,it rips through grass like a charm.
I had bought one last week battery only lasted 16 min so I brought it back got another on same thing sent it back I bought a greenworks and I had trimmed my 1/2 acre took about 25 min still had 2 bars left.i like the greenworks but I also liked the ego but 2 weedeaters and 2 bad batteries
@@Lumpia_In_Texasit’s possibly the terrain you are working on?If you are trimming around rocks, cement and asphalt, you will chew line up faster no matter the line or brand of line trimmer.
Looks nice but the cutting end looks bulkier and heavier than my trusty 2nd gen model. The 2nd gen model has good balance and I've had it for years without issue. Maybe I'll check out a floor model next time I go to the store.
@@Kitearmy No I have the 2nd gen trimmer when they added the speed feed head. Slide the string through and a few quick twists to load. I still have the very 1st original model with the big guard on it. I use it once in a blue moon.
Never had a issue with my electric stuff for 6 year's + tired their first products to Kobalt is a great brand as well. They sell out in stores for a reason wake up gas is a waste of money down the line.
Its junk ... OK for your wife ... But not enough power .... Batteries quickly lose the little power they start with . I've used a couple different battery operated trimmers before none have the power of gas ... No matter how much These guys lied to you And tell you that they do.
Great features, the best being the self loading which makes me want one for that alone. Love the video 😊
Maybe you will find one in your shed :)
I do tend to find things in there 😊
@@goodmanshealth So true
I have that same trimmer with the 615 blower. They are awesome
Great setup
How is the EGO blower ? Is it that strong ? What battery do u use with that blower ?
Do u switch battery with the trimmer ?

Do you ever run out of power?
Ya this is trimmer is on my wish list.
Great machine
Best 3 in 1 right now? Trimmer, edger, and mower. I'm a small female and need it lightweight!
I blame you for my EGO addiction😂
Guilty :)
I like your videos. Great job on your honest review.
I appreciate that!
Isn’t it supposed to release more string on its on, once it uses it up? I can’t figure
Out why mines won’t.
I got a trimmer, blower, hedger and finaly a mower!😂
yeah - that's the trifecta
Does this one have swappable heads or does that require a different pole/enclosure?
this is not a multi head.
🙏
@@StefanR great price trimmer though
Just bought the same but carbon fiber from Lowe’s for $250 but with protections plan it was over $300. But just a great quality.
Great reveiw

I want buy one for a while but battery power stuff kind scares me
Can u do a leaf blower on EGO? I would like to know how powerful it is. Is it worth it ?
It is worth it - tons of reviews on this channel
My ego line iq trimmer is power but eats string pretty quickly
Try a different brand of string
Use the .95 size as the power is too much from the tool. U might be using a smaller type of string.
I'm using the stock .95 ego string
@@Lumpia_In_Texasi switched to MAXPOWER brand and no regrets. Bought a 200ft fr amazon.

Wish you had compared it current model or rhe Multi-tool version
Sure - but this is the budget model
I have this one with the carbon fiber handle
Where s the link at the sale price that includes the battery and charger at the sale price?
Amazon - pulled it - got to act fast I guess

Is your model a powerload?

I like the features but I'm already in the Ryobi ecosystem.
Yeah - that happens
Am buying a Ryobi…great company, great productline
I clicked on this video to find out who the stunt double was in the click bait thumbnail. 😅
hahahah - I have to reshoot the thumbnail - BTW this is a new video. Nice catch!

You don’t need to have the battery connected to load the string 👍🏿
sure you do - to run the powerload requires the battery
No battery powered equipment comes close to petrol powered!! If you have a small garden, they will ok. Otherwise, petrol all day long, literally!
All the exhaust in your lungs and deafing noise. All yours mate
Yeah a 10 second battery swap is very hard to do. You can't be serious. 😂😂😂😂

How's your ferrari - bet you get to work fast
Oh please, this thing barely lasted 5 months before the auto load feature started failing. Typical EGO garbage.
