Met a guy in a state camping area who found THE MOST BEAUTIFUL quartz cluster with a bridge, so I asked him how he would get it home without breaking it?
Surprise answer: he packaged it in dry powdered soap (Tide etc). It was the perfect medium to cushion that quartz, and you could use the soap at home. (Back when powder was the one used) I did get some clusters but none coming close to his. This was a wonderful days activity. I will NEVER get red clay stain out of my tennies.

Crystals are proof that even the most simple of things can be beautiful. Even inspiring.
Crystals are simple?
@@idontno0I was about to say. 98% of crystals are hella complex
I agree with @idontno0. Crystals are not simple. For example, if you are unaware that onyx when a certain amount of pressure is applied to it, it produces energy. I understand what you are saying, though, but mere looks are not an absolute scale for simplicity if that is your basis. Otherwise, crystals are still quite a mystery as to their full potential. Crystal is known to be able to store information as well as vast amounts of it at that, as well as many crystals are being used in some watches to help power them. It is believed to have many uses in occult beliefs as well, ranging from magic abilities and protection from different energies, etc. The ancient egyptians, among many other ancient civilizations, made claims to their abilities that seem downright magical in some cases. Clay itself is made of microscopic crystal discs stacked on top of each other, that break apart and make new ones from that breaking. Mother crystals forming daughter crystals. They basically replicate themselves. It's truly amazing stuff. Anyways, sorry for the long-winded typing, but hopefully, that was insightful for you or someone else.

@@its_that_one_guy7882 frankly no, but how can it be a machined like edges is just unbelievable
Damn bro got them budget diamonds
I will never understand how things formulate soo perfectly and soo naturally
They form this way because they don't have any other way to be. The molecules of that crystal have the same symmetry themselves (hexagonal, in this case).
What you're seeing is millions upon quadrillions of nature's Legos.
Heat and pressure and a lot of time. The molecules naturally want to fit to this shape. The only reason they don't form perfectly every time is things will get in the way and distort them.
@@celebrim1not necessarily. Heat and pressure applies to structures that have bonds that need to be weakened and forced together to create a giant lattice structure, for example the diamond. In the case of quarts and other mineral crystals, ions from rocks and soils are washed out and form buds in the ground. Over time as water washes more and more ions out and into this bud, it grows. The reason for the flat shape relies on how the mineral ions stack. The rougher parts of the crystal are able to retain the ions alot better than the smoother sides, in which case the water washes away the excess minerals which eventually leads to a verry straight and un-natural looking shape.
@@kyledaugherty1609that's kind of right, but the molecules are not hexagonal. In the case of quarts, oxygen and silicon begin to wash into the ground and begin to bond and form bonds. Over time, the shape of the bonds make the molecule into a "tetrahedron" shape and over time they stack which makes the crystal grow. The more of these tetrahedron shaped mineral deposits there are the more the crystal grows

Crazy how clearly quartz form under all that dirt muck and grime 😂
Quartz crystals precipitate out of magma that is below 1700 C. Typically you would find large quartz crystals in a very slow cooling igneous intrusion, packed tightly in a dense structure like a sill, dyke, or batholith) It is more likely this video has gypsum or something that precipitated out of an underground water source, and as the underground stream moved, it deposited the mud, packed around the crystals.
Tell me you don't know how crystals form without telling me you don't know how crystals form.
These are not quartz.
@@leannhenry9191 what are they then.
This is quartz stone …it’s very common gemstone…available all over word easily
What's the worth of that first size?
@@MC_Alabanot much, my family have a giant quartz stone (size of an adult hand in width and length) and if they sell it, it would cost around 5 to 15 dollars at least where I live.
Still cool af

When’s the last time you found a cluster that polished, naturally?
