2 things. SSD will make your computer load faster if you download windows on the ssd. And upgrade the ram. Most of the time on old slow laptops you’ll find 2gb of ram. Upgrade to 8 maybe
In 2020, I did this to my laptop from 2011. I replaced the old hard disc drive with a kingston SSD and doubled the ram to 8gb. For about 50 USD, my now 11 year-old laptop boots Windows 10 in less than 10 seconds. Way better than buying a new laptop

hi bro, yes you can install OS and other apps on to SSD, i have done the same hence you could notice the speed, you can install it on HDD as well but app opening time would be considerably slower. i would recommend installing all the basic applications on SSD itself, that way performance would be faster.
WD green SSD thogonde but speed not as good as yours. Also, crashed due some issues with drivers :( Now, got replacement piece. I should have bought Kingston ! , as WD green adds around 10 seconds delay.

You should take Samsung 860 EVO. I know the EVO is more expensive, but Samsung is superior when it comes to reliability and durability. I don't say that Kingston are bad SDD's, just that Samsung are better. It's worth the extra money to buy a SSD which don't "crash" after a year or two.

But even on a SATA 2 you will see a remarkable increase in speed compared to a regular HDD. If I remember it right, SATA 2 will (can) give you a speed of 250-300 MB/s which is far superior to a HDD (around 30-45 MB/s). You will *definitely* notice an upgrade to SSD. In your case you can buy a much less expensive SSD than the Samsung EVO, but I still recommend it because of it's reliability. For every SSD (all brands) sold in the world, Samsung sells two. EVO and Pro series are outstanding today.

You can upgrade to windows 10 for free if that windows 7 is a paid version You won't get windows 7 office suite many windows 7 computers are being compromised just an advise
hi bro, no i don't think so by just playing lot of games the battery gets damaged, but yes if you charge while playing might it'll harm the internals to certain extent in the longer run because there is lot of heat generated while gaming and charging simultaneously. another tip to maintain battery's life is to charge in consistent cycles and make sure it doesn't drop below 10% or 5% regularly.
