    Like, no one asked for this or even hinted that Huntress needed some work. She has been in a really good spot and it's wild to me that BHVR decided to buff tweak her. There are a lot of killers that need some looking at like Freddy, Twins, and for the love of god, Skull Merchant.

    I think 7 hatchets is a bit much.
    I also think that the movement speed shouldn't be upped at all as it takes away any counterplay.

      @@WeedManSinwhat? If you drop a pallet vs huntress you get hit, so instead you try playing on the walls and dodging while she aims because she’s slower than you. Take away the slow and what can you do? It’s not that hard to see why it’s an issue

      if they lowered the movespeed a little and completely reverted the other 2 changes, it would be a perfectly fine buff for huntress like make the movespeed while holding hatchet like 3.2 or 3.3 and bam, survivors are still fast enough to run around rocks if she holds, but you dont just get scammed for sometimes going for shots that REALLY should hit but you get so slow they get behind anything in time

    The Invocation perk seems like a situational perk. It's definitely a perk made more for swfs than it is for solo queue survivors. I can see it being coordinated for use toward the end of a game with 2 or 1 gen left to make it progress faster while the killer is occupied. I can see it being used to help break 3 genning. The killer can't both defend gens and be at the basement at the same time depending on how many survivors are left alive. Maybe use Potential Energy and store up some gen charges, do the invocation, and then unload PE on the closest finished gen after that?

      Maybe the perk needs to have a better decision making like for every gen not completed add additional 10 charges plus a base of 60, and split those charges towards every non completed gen, so at the start of the game adds 130 charges split among 7 gens for a total of 18.5 charges each and late game it would be 90 charge among 3 gens for a total of 30 charges each. Obviously these numbers are for example purposes, so late game feels more impactful. Or make the stacks added on permanent, it just too risky in its current state.

    as a huntress main, I'm just glad they didn't totally rework her. THE ONLY BUFF SHE EVER NEEDED WAS CHANGING THE HITBOXES OF RANDOM OBJECTS + TREE TOPS, ANYTHING ABOVE THE TREES TRUNK SHOULD NOT BLOCK SHOTS

      This is a very fair statement. This Killer main agrees. There should always be skill involved when playing. I believe the blood lust cuts out skill needed to "outplay" survivors at loops. Not needed or fair.

      @@FurryQueenYT Killer Basekit with no cooldown vs Sprint burst which has a 40 second cooldown. Exhaustion does not dissipate while running therefor can only be used once during a chase. The 2 are not considered comparable by any means. The idea to gain bloodlust while holding the ability means less skill required for the down. Making the gameplay feel "cheesy". The player should understand the ability and when the ability will be effective. The opposing player should have a fair chance to dodge the ability. I don't want Huntress nerfed in the future due to "cheesy" gameplay.

    in good hands like yours she definitely is overpowered, but for the general player i'd say it was pretty hard to catch survivors at high loops sometimes so you were forced to m1 because there was no way you would catch them with your hatchet. the increased movement speed while holding hatchets could also make casual huntress players have a chance at such loops i'd say.

    12:59 Perks like Invocation: Weaving Spiders & No Mither don't feel worth staying broken for the entire trial imo.
    I think they need to give them another buff/ benefit tbh, i.e. it also:
    - increases action speeds (like Resilience), or
    - reduces Grunts of Pain by 100% (like Iron Will), or
    - gives you 3% Haste (like Boon: Dark Theory), etc.
    It sucks that you basically hv to run an entire dedicated perk build to make a single perk feel viable.

    I can see why they did this buff, it's for the lower end players since huntress is real jank and does not perform well if you're not insane. I don't know if I agree with what they changed but it was very clearly to bring the bottom up and also add variety to her addon builds since everyone just runs more hatchets.

    I feel like invocation would be better if they tweaked the charges if they want to keep the broken status effect, or have the broken status affect remove after gens are done.

    I feel like the invocation needs a small buff, just maybe have the broken removed once the exit gates are powered. I dont mind it having a sound cue because if youre paying attention you can tell when they become broken

    The audio notification on top of being broken for the rest of the match seems too steep for what the invocation does. If you're unlucky enough to have the killer nearby when you finish the invocation, you're basically guaranteeing a hook for them. You're in the very back of the basement and one hit from being downed. If they are near the basement when you finish you're now trapped in a dead end with 4 hooks that can't be sabotaged, and you're one shot. That's just completely unfair considering all the other downsides to the invocation. It's an awesome perk, and I hope they make more of them that you can stack like boons, but currently it has too many negative parts to be worth using at all outside of 3-4 person SWFs with voice chat.

    Since Weaving Spiders sorta vibes like a perk that would be best utilized by more experienced players (high risk, high reward, knowing when to use it, knowing when basement is safe), I don't particularly mind being broken for the rest of the match. It also seems like it's better to use later in the game when pressure is more important, so being broken won't matter too much at that point. But I have a bit of a bias as a Resilience player

      Its an add on, but it also reduces her max hatchets carried to 1, so she has a single insta down hatchet, it removes her ability to group pressure or consistently maintain chase but landing the hatchet always downs so its a tradeoff of pressure and constant reloading for instant downs if you can hit the hatchet

    yo spooky quick question, ive been on pc dbd for a few months now (i came from xbox) and with the new huntress buffs ive been trying to play her more however, i feel like my overall sensitivity is too high im curious as to what you use so that maybe i could use it as a baseline and adjust it to fit my needs, i run max sense in game and 1600 dpi, love your content man and keep up the amazing work

    I just got into DBD like a month ago and on my way to getting my first prestige on Huntress I ran into a rather toxic bully squad. I ended up killing three then losing to hatch but over all I'd say I preformed pretty well
    Well this one particular survivor thought I preformed so well he decided to message me and proceed to send several paragraphs on my skill and how infuriating it was... I sent him a heart 😌

    10 hatches is nice. For a challenge I did a load out that only let me have one, but if I threw it and hit they could be hooked instant.

    In regards to Huntress, I feel like this is designed for newer players, not experienced players. I'd honestly like to see some tests where an experienced Huntress player plays against the same team, on the same map, with original Huntress, and as PTB Huntress, and see how they perform, and then do the same thing but with someone who is new to Huntress. Something tells me that, considering Huntress was already considered a good Killer, the changes aren't actually giving experienced Huntress players that many more hits than they would have gotten with original Huntress, but that it will help bring new Huntress players a bit closer to the level they want her at.
    As for the new Invocation, it does seem like a big hit for not as much of a benefit, but I do see it having some effect with SWFs where the best looper takes it, and uses it early in the game, because as a Killer player, I'll admit that a lot of my early-game pressure is established by patrolling gens and listening for gen progress sounds to find Survivors initially and start chases. All gens having a little progress early game will force me to actually go and look at each gen, rather than being able to just get close enough to listen for gen progress noise and move immediately towards the next gen if I don't hear anything, costing me precious seconds that it's difficult to spare in mid-high MMR matches. And with all the second chance Perks and items that Survivors have, permanent Broken isn't as big a deal as it could be on higher-MMR Survivors, especially against certain Killers. Finally, considering how long it usually takes them to nerf ultra-powerful Survivor Perks (see: old DS, old DH, old MFT, old CoH, current FtP+BU), I'd much rather them start worse, and slowly tune it upwards, rather than the other way around.

    I'll be honest, if they see buffed PTB Huntress as some kind of gold standard of where killers should be on power level, I'm all for it, that way they have a point of reference for people like Trapper, Myers, Legion, Slinger, ect

    I think the new survivor should stay broken until end game and then be aloud to heal. That way it would be a perk you could use earlier on and not feel such a strong deficit

      1) Killer should not be notified of the survivor using Weaving Spiders, nor should the other survivors. I do not think it needs to be a map wide notification. 2) Agreed they should be allowed to heal after all the generators have been completed, and or the hatch has been closed by killer. They could even make it a two to three minute timer. That way they actually have a better chance to escape.

    I never realized Huntress builds up bloodlust while holding up a hatchet. If the basekit tweaks stay as is, I feel like bloodlust shouldn't build while she's got a hatchet charged, even if it resets after you throw it or put it away again. Doctor loses bloodlust when he uses his power so it's kind of a weird imbalance in that regard. The hatchet counter I don't find super crazy, but maybe just adding 1 basekit and 9 maximum would be just as fine. The other number tweaks feel like they can just help her feel a little smoother to play, but aren't nearly as good I feel as what Pig got given. BUT, that's absolutely fine, since Huntress has already been a pretty fair and balanced killer to play as and against, whereas Pig has had rough edges for a while. All in all, the PTB updates are super interesting for the killer side, and I'm sure that there could either be just flat reversions to what we already have, or more 0.1 second adjustments in some way.
    For Sable's perks, I'm extremely curious what her one new perk is going to be changed to do, since right now it's based on Mangled status and Hexed statuses. So if neither are in play, it's useless. Which one could argue similar for a survivor bringing distortion against 0 aura perks, but at least you get the knowledge of there being no aura gameplay. Or a killer running exhaustion debuffs against the rare game with 0 survivor exhaustion perks. But again, that means that if there isn't Lithe, SB, Balanced, whatever, then the killer already is at the advantage for avoiding what could be. But for, I think it was called Wicked? Recovering faster from Mangled when it isn't around, and healing speed increased when hexed if it isn't around don't give information or advantages. I think the mapwide SFX for a completed Invocation isn't necessary, since I view it as sort of a stealth gen perk. You can already see the survivor suddenly become broken and make the assumption that it was in play, since unlike FTP, you won't have an Obsession change (or they were already the obsession), and I think the only way to be broken mid-match by survivor side perks is from Renato's exhaustion recovery perk. Maybe the SFX is to combine the completion of the perk's use in a way that a subtle cheater can't just go and add 15 charges to all gens mapwide but not receive any penalties, but who knows.

    They put out two killers since twins, at least, that have 'transfer your camera / position / control' be done infinitely faster and more smoothly, than the Twins do.
    Singularity and now Unknown, both of them can do their thing super fast and with minimal snail hangover time

      What part of Twins rework later this year do people still not understand? Stop complaining about them now that there is an actual time frame for their rework. Like my god shut up. Game breaking bugs like the Vic hitbox with pallets? Complain away because it made them unplayable, but what everyone complains about with Twins aren’t unplayable things. And this is coming from a Twins player.

    I feel like weaving spiders could be more like a Brand New part, It's really easy to counter, and the extra 15 charges can just be set back very easily unless you do it in endgame (which will take a while as I doubt solo que players have the brain capacity needed for such tactics)

    If they wanted to buff the huntress, they NEEDED to fix her hitboxeses. Her hitbox woth hatchets has been scuffed for over a year. She didnt need buffing. If anything, she needed tweaking or nerfing

    The spiders perk doesnt seem to be efficient by the numbers at either 5 or 1 generators left, unless you still had 4 guys up during a really bad 3 gen and you happened to be death hook and not able to pressure a gen. TLDR Too niche to ever be worth

      spiders is another totally fucked up perk design. its main benefit is 15 seconds progression on gens, right? Make the basement circle last longer than 15 seconds and its not worth it, make it shorter and its overpowered. They once again made a perk impossible to balance, its either garbage or too strong if they severely reduce the duration.
      Its a shame too, the animation and effects look so nice, just like that vittorio perk where you basicly store generator progress. It looks really cool but it is more hindering you than helping you.

    i feel like the new survivor perks are super bad. going in basement is already a known taboo and everything about her is basment focused.
    weaving spiders is a cool idea but unless you do it early its value drops drastically with each completed gen and if killer has hex ruin its a direct counter. IF i could fix id say it has a set amount of charges like 80 and when the ritual is complete it distributes all 80 to any remaining generators so if you have a tight 3 gen and do it each gen would get about 26% but if you do it early every gen would get like 11%.
    strength in shadows feels like itd be the strongest giving self care but adds aura reading when you finish in basement. i am not a big fan of another perk steppin on the toes of another perk and wish it did something else entirely like idk totem interaction or something
    and then wicked is just...... so situational that you are more likely to get zero use out of it than something. mangled is something you see but is often tied to being removed via an action like complete healing on self. timed removal by half duration i just don't see being worth the perk slot. particularly for how long you need to chill out in basement to get full value which again unless you are using weaving you are wasting time. its just a matter of are you wasting more time healing while mangled or while waiting for stacks to build up doing mostly nothing in the basement. should help with other timed debuffs in my opinion

    I think the invocation perk needs some sort of change. 2 minutes is a long time and then to be broken for the rest of the game. Plus the killer can just kick the gens after hearing the audio cue. Maybe if they couldn't regress past the 15 charges that would make the perk okay?

    I think weaving spiders is a solid perk but it needs a small incentive for being broken for the remainder of the trial. Like a bootlegged resilience or No mither effects.

    I think 7 hatchets is sort of fine, but the addons to increase her carrying capacity should at least be combined into a single addon that only increases the number by an additional 1 or 2 at most. I could imagine that they might have made this particular change to try to curb the number of players that use iron maiden on Huntress since having more hatchets naturally = less reloading = less incentive to run iron maiden. The wind up and movement speed though, I have NO idea why they messed with those.

    They have obviously never even played the game. Huntress is already a pain in the ass. On a separate note iv learned to make the xenomorph op asf. I'm convinced he's the best killer. It has like seven different ways to detect people. It's insane. It has the tunnels. lockers to make you scream, whenever you hook someone it detects you. Whenever you turn on generators it can detect you for ten seconds. Add lethal pursuer and you find them right away and never let up. Not to mention the generators themselves and I even have a perk that shows when someone puts down a flame thrower if I'm in the tunnels and all at the same time. Perfect organism.

    I feel the same way about huntress buff. I’m a huntress main. It’s nice but I don’t think it’s realistic or fair. Also the only thing I don’t like about Sable perks is they all require to go to basement. I feel it’s gonna take time away from doing objectives. I’ve seen a lot of peeps die in PTB bc everyone in basement using one of her perks.

    Invocation would be ok maybe if they had a pool of charges that was dispersed percentage-wise amongst incompleted gens with lowest progression first to highest progression to bring all gens closer to the same progression level. like a 3gen situation where you have one gen at 30%, two at 0% the invocation would bring the two 0s to 30%? i dunno, something like that.

      i would say have it be that all gens receive the current brand new part effect. maybe not as much maybe more that itself is up for debate but have it be guaranteed locked down progress that cant be gotten rid of. otherwise its too high risk too low reward. you are injured the rest of the game, you spend like 3 minutes doing it, you only get 15 charges on all gens sure but those 15 charges can be mitigated just by the killer kicking the gens or having specific gen regression perks on that help.

    Easy, just make it so that -
    it takes a while to pick up speed while holding a hatchet
    Keep the amount of hatchets to about 8 or 9 but give her a longer after hit recovery time
    Give her an add on that makes it to where if you m2 the survivor gets a mini lights out affect

    Looks like they were testing some quality of life stuff, maybe for a nerf without making the character unfun to play. Buffs make sense for this since people would be less likely to play a character in a ptb if they get nerfed. Honestly a pretty cool approach to game balance

    That basement ritual perk should only give you Broken Status at 50% completion, a circle appears for every survivor in the basement, once completed the Broken Status is removed but you are injured

    I think huntress should get one of those buffs only really, or some tweaked version. Maybe she gets 6 hatchets base and maybe a slight wind up buff?
    As for weaving spiders, It's a strong effect to be sure but I think being permanently broken is too high a cost for it. Maybe they are broken for 2 minutes? Give the killer an opportunity to put a hook stage on them quick if they are caught but after that they can heal like normal?

      I think so too, she's honestly in an alright spot. As a huntress main, 7 hatchets is really nice, and the movement speed is great too, but maybe tone it back to say 3.3 m/s back from 3.54 m/s. I think it's just too much at that point really, especially with bloodlust lol.

    15% for 2 minutes in the basement and then broken for the rest of the game?? NOT WORTH IT. And Huntress changes is ridiculous. All I see is teams getting slugged at 4-5 gens like they already try to do anyways. I honestly don't even get why people play survivor anymore in this game.

    The ritual perk is good, I mean they are left broken and will probably use it only if they are dead on hook, as a main killer, I do not think it is overpowered, think about it, 15 charges in every gen, and when they are dead on hook, probably 2-3 gens are already done if there was no tunnel, and they gotta go 2 minutes into basement if no one else comes help, 2 minutes is more time than what it takes to do a gen, which is 90 seconds

    I think the time for the invocation is fine for such a good reward but being broken for the rest of the match is a little much for a one time trick with such a high risk of time and place. Time will tell how it actually does in matches.
    Huntress buff? Not needed. There's plenty of killers that need to be looked at, but Huntress is not one of them in the least. Minor buffs in the future I could see once other killers have been touched up as well but to choose a killer that performs as well as her is... interesting, to say the least.
    Biased here but I would've places Dredge before Huntress as needing some buffs. I would have looked at locker rng (would have helped 3 killers at once) and worked on Dredge's "lullaby" (loudness).
    There's then the obvious killers that need to be looked at such as Freddy (make Dream Pallets basekit, TP in end game possible), Twins (have no idea but please help them), Skull Merchant (either she has too much or not enough), Trapper (increase basekit trap carried, basekit traps spawned open, increase rate at which traps reset also basekit, traps harder to see as well), Ghostface (cloaking mechanic is buggy at best when trying to knock him out or not to), and others as well.
    Love the map, like the new chapter. I also like that BHVR is adding new mechanics to the game but I think they should look at boons and hexes still before expanding too much.

      if the Invocation made the gen progress like BNP (which, before this I did not actually know it made that progress increase permanent; rarely use BNP even when I use toolboxes on my rare survivor games) then sacrificing extra health states for the rest of the match would be okay. Or if the Broken lasted until the last generator was repaired.

    Weaving spiders is a massive trade for only 15 charges. Bump it to 20. Broken is fine, but using it near the end of the game is a massive trade off. You get more value at the beginning of the game.
    Honestly I would use no mither with it

    I think 6 hatchets basekit would be ok since a lot of maps have horrible lockers, its also more realistic because BHVR wouldn't rework all the maps lockers. Would rather get the extra hatchet add-ons reworked as a result. The speed while moving is too much and should be reverted back, that much is obvious. The only change I like is the wind up increase being a lil better.

    Invocation: Weaving Spiders is a cool concept for a new perk type, the perk itself is just SO strange to me. I totally agree with it taking more charges and being limited to once per match. But Broken? Broken. Who is in charge of this stuff? Like, “okay guys let’s make this new perk and slap Broken on it.”
    I feel the Broken is unnecessary, okay it’s there I guess, but it’s just bizarre.

    bhvr: just add a skillcheck for the nearest survivor when a huntress throws a hatchet within 15m of a survivor (exactly like overcharge skillcheck), IF the huntress misses AND the survivor hits the skillcheck, remove 1 hatchet, now the fun counterplay is still there, god this isn't freaking difficult

    I really want to know what Bhvr was smoking giving her more hatchets, moving faster , faster when readying a hatchet. Just ahd a guy earlier stand in the door ontop of the building in the knight's map and continously chucking hatches down and missing all of them ... At least he got more to throw.
