There will not be 200+ new pokemon added in a generation ever again. That automatically makes this "leak" easily identifiable as false.
Poeple said the same about pokemon games having DLCs and yet we got them. This is generation 10, I wouldn't put them past the Pokemon Company to go bigger on their Gen 10 game.
Generation 10 will definitely stand out. While I don't believe the leaks are real, Gen 10 is special for several reasons:
Marking the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise.
Having one additional year of development compared to previous generations.
Benefiting from lessons learned from two legends games and SV.
More performance on the Switch 2 allowing for more in-depth open world gameplay and graphics.
I believe that Scarlet and Violet and Legends: Arceus were a step in the right direction. However, these games suffered from being rushed. I hope Game Freak has learned from their mistakes.

Leak is fake. Everybody forgets about New Zealand. Also, hardware was never the reason why we got a national dex in switch games, it was more-so to streamline variety

veracity of the "leak" aside, i think a normal type eeveelution could actually be really really good, especially if it has an ability like Protean (which imo is a good way to still make it feel like it fits in with the rest of the family's gimmick)
Yeah yeah, every new gen is supposed to be Australia-based but it never happens. Bored of the same "leaks" every time.

@@Saint_kin It's never gonna happen. Just look at the regions they've chosen so far. They're mostly based on Japan, Western Europe and the US. I have very little faith we'll ever get an Australia based region, especially one as in-depth as this silly leak claims lol.

That fusion described on that post pretty much resumes what Pokémon Infinite Fusion has, so I don't really believe it. Plus, it's on 4Chan...

An Australian region with THAT MANY new Pokémon would be HUGE, though I feel a bit iffy about the fusion mechanic, tbh. Idk, it just seems like they would need a LOT more time to fully implement that? I feel like it's something they couldn't just do with a select handful of fave Pokémon and a few oddballs like they did with Megas and Gigantamax forms, but idk, they did make those work, so we'll just have to see if this ends up being true!
I DO however really like the idea of the DLCs being completely different for both games! Like you said, it really would give a genuinely good reason to buy both games, minus just wanting to get version exclusives to complete your Dex.
There's no way it would be a full crossbreeding system. Just something like there being 6 or so Pokemon that can only be obtained through specific breeding pairs.

@@peter-mickey-chu198 Actually Suicune is believed to be based on the Kirin, a legendary beast which is a mix of a Dragon, Deer, big cats and unicorns. But I don't think it resembles a Cheetah since Suicune doesn't have spots all over its body.

National Dex isn't returning in the game. That's what Home is for.
Junichi Masuda's tweet/post is usually a better bet to where the region will be based on. If amyone has time, just analyze his tweet/post locations since sometime before the launch of SV. That could indicate where Gen 10 might be.
S/V including DLC nearly has every Pokémon, it might be possible

I really like the idea of breeding to make “fusions”. It makes it seem like more of a natural thing, like breeding a horse and a donkey to make a mule. This will make new and interesting pokemon, without making the gimmick that makes legendary pokemon like kyurem feel special.
I think a Normal-type Eeveelution should be saved as the *final* Eeveelution, if/when they’ve gotten through all the other types (I’d also prefer the next one we get to be Dragon).
I agree with AUS for the region. This company loves to drop hints in previous games. Scarlet/Violet, you can ACTUALLY see what appears to be an outline of the continent in South Prov (area Five) where all the drowzee spawns. Ruins in the area has it plain as day to see (wish YT allowed screen shots).
Would love an Australia region, and would really hope that many of these QOL features would get implemented considering the longer dev time - the ability to turn off the early tutorial would be amazing, having level scaling would be amazing, a big region with 200 mons would be amazing, lots of regional forms of fan favorites, national dex coming back would be huge (though wouldn't that negate Home somewhat?), and voice acting would be peak.
Even if just main storyline stuff was voice acted - like I get that they don't want to have every single dude in every single town who's only job is to Bark at you with a one liner voice acted, but even if they just had Generic NPC Male and Generic NPC Female voices for those and paid someone a days wage to say all those lines, it would really enhance the experience.
Someone recently posted a video they made in blender with AI voice over for the Paldea starting sequence where you meet nemona, and it ruled. And that was AI! Imagine what a real trained actor could do.
If we get an Australian region, we need a spider mon that looks like a spider.
Fusions will be limited and will require an item (as some mons do to get their pre-evolution) to get cross breed mons.
I doubt Game Freak would include voice acting as it with all the languages that would be needed to implement. It's not just another expense and work but adds to the GB count of the game.
I would like Gen X to visit Ireland. There is so much to explore in terms of setting and inspiration for the region, then a visit to an enhanced Galar to visit the gyms and conplete the story, maybe have Professor Sona set up challenges to get the Galar Starters.
We find out Rose was lying about the energy dependence, he was employes to get the Eternal Energy to create the Genesis Orb, based on the Silvally drives and various special orbs, this allows Arceus to attain its true form, which is a true God.
Sounds very fanfic like, it would be really cool, which is why it won´t happen. We know very well the Pokemon Company doesn´t really care about lore
@juanmanuelcardona19 It would be nice to see Arceus get its original form and using the Galar story would make a lot of sense, the Eternamax energy would be a good energy source, even if the original form appears as a form change created by the Ireland region evil team using an item.
But yes, Game Freak doesn't really care about lore, which is a shame.
@@Johnny-Wilde-Productions Also my girlfriend is from Ireland and she has told me that there are a bunch of political issues in ireland that I won´t get into that would make the prospects of a Pokemon region based on Ireland problematic. For example, part of Ireland hates the UK and the other doesn´t and there have been civil conflicts in the border of the UK Ireland and the independant Ireland, so yeah... not good for a Pokemon region. If they use either side of Ireland the other side will be pissed off at the Pokemon Company and I don´t think the Pokemon Company wants to get into political problems
making older regions be part of the new gens DLC for the Switch 2 era instead of sandwiching remakes in-between new gens will expedite the process of collecting nat dex if it isn't offered up-front from the start
Gen 10 in Australia, new battle gimmick and most importantly, 200+ brand new never before seen Pokémon
Hopefully there are not a single old Pokémon returning or there’s anything related to old Pokémon, not even regional variants or even convergent species
All 200+ brand new Pokémon from generation 10 are purely new and it even tops generation 9 in even the number of new Pokémon
Or even better, generation 10 could get 245, 362 or even 400+ brand new Pokémon or even 800 new Pokémon as well and no old Pokémon or regional variants or convergent species, all Pokémon are completely new and unique since it’s based in Australia, a country with only the most unique creatures. But if old Pokémon MUST be added, then fusions and crossbreeds will solve the problem of having to deal with old Pokémon added for no reason that the other generations including gen 9 has suffered for years

If they did change the starter trio typing, something I could see happen is that the types would be some mix of Fighting, Dark, Ghost, Fairy, and/or Psychic. Then their final evolutions would gain Fire, Water, & Grass so they technically would still be part of the starter trio, but in a different way.
Australia is PERFECT as a Pokemon region. In Australia there are really dangeroes animals like bugs, snakes, spiders and other animals and I think that Australia would be the most dangeroes region and maybe even there could be wild areas where there could be raging Pokemon that would attack you like in Legends Arceus. The gimmick could Pokemon Fusion or give Pokemon a special attack that could be like the one in Pokken Tournament

The only way I see 200+ is regional/form variants. I suspect likely 40-80 new, and then the rest variants

We've already had an option to skip the Catching Tutorial. In Sword/Shield, if you catch Pokemon on Route 1 before meeting up with Hop and Leon on Route 2, where Leon will typically teach you to catch Pokemon, you will skip it as you've already caught some.
I think there will only be a handful of new Pokemon in the next generation, most being evo's or regional forms. They'll get to 1051!

crossbreeding is a must-have. they don't need to create baby pokemon, but they could make new lines instead
there could also be dropbear pokemon that has 2 for,ms like a nonaggresive one and a really aggresive form like pacheritsu

I'm glad that I don't play "Pokémon GO", so that I don't have to deal those many problems & I don't travel a lot. Also, regarding the Gen. 10 rumors it sounds interesting but I will always be waiting for official confirmation from Nintendo & GF. Lastly, maybe the new gimmick in Gen. 10 will be ReBurst & the open world will be better than PLA.

I think that all this information is very interesting and I’m going with 50/50 wether this rumour is real or not and I think the gen 10 Region could be based off Australia as for Gen 1 to 4 they have been east based while Gens 5 to 8 have been West based and with Gen 9 it seams we could be going South for the next couple Generations.
Gamefreak will NEVER do any of those. It will probably just be a reboot of SV.
Hopefully the legendary takes inspiration from dreamland and the rainbow serpent. Make it a Fairy/Dragon Type
Why wouldn't you want a Normal type Veevee? Normal and Dragon are the only 2 types left that they could do unless you want to count Ground to counterpart Jolteon like how a Dragon one would counterpart Sylveon. A Veevee that evolves by level up would be cool, even if it is basic. It would be Eevee's normal evolution. Because Eevee can't evolve without human interference so a Eevee that can evolve on its own would be nice to see.
Normal and Dragon are not the only types left for Eeveelutions
Eevee evolution into a normal type should be the last thing to do.
I think a normal eeveelution would be dope. And if they changed up starter types that'd be dope ....

okay I can understand why they would change the start for gen10 if it is in Australia because they don't have many water spots or grass land but more plains so I would like to see a ground or rock type starter in that gen 10.

An Entire Country as a Region? We've never had that happen before so most likely fake. We've only had Parts of a Country being Playable Before as something that Big would need a MUCH more powerful System than the Switch to be able to play it.

Pokemon arent that deep when it comes to inspiration for a region. Remember Galar and how loosely they played with stuff in your own country? Heck Galar even missed lots of pokemon that were already UK inspired and were missing from the dex completly.
