    Symptoms of vitamin D deficiency can include:
    Bone pain: Bone pain or achiness, often in the legs
    Muscle weakness: Muscle weakness in the trunk, hips, or legs, which can cause waddling while walking
    Fatigue: Unexplained tiredness or feeling down and exhausted
    Sleep issues: Not sleeping well
    Mood changes: Depression, feelings of sadness, or mood swings
    Other symptoms: Hair loss, loss of appetite, getting sick more easily, nausea, increased thirst and urination, constipation, confusion, impaired balance or coordination, and unclear speech
    Most people with vitamin D deficiency don't notice any symptoms, or only have vague ones. Severe vitamin D deficiency can cause:
    Rickets in children, which is soft bones
    Osteomalacia in adults, which is soft bones
    Bowed legs in children
    Muscle spasms or cramps
    Seizures
