You're the sweetest couple on the net. ❤Thanks for your smart way of making the sweet "silent" cooking ones and then the lively chat afterwards, fantastic. We adore you and Mishmish's special moments! 😻
My husband and I are so glad we found you. We watch both of your channels every evening. So relaxing and we just love the atmosphere that you give. Thank you so much. God bless you.
I'm with the commenter below me... I really like the way you do your videos. I'm actually homeless at the moment, and don't have a lot except my job, RUclips and social media, and my crafts. You two make my day when you upload your videos. Thank you so much! Sending lots of love and many blessings to you both
Ron , you should make a coloring book of St. Gen. too. The book is very well done. Sorry the soup wasn't a hit. Thank you for all your hard work to save History.
You guys are so sweet to each other! I really like both your channels. It's interesting to see how the food was made back then and then your reactions to it.
I love your coloring books. I think it would be an amazing idea if you could sell them even outside of pioneer days... I live about 8 hours from where you are, and I'm not sure I would be able to make it, but I would love to be able to buy some of those books... Also, if you made others too. I think it is an amazing idea. I love watching both Ron & Justine... you guys are so sweet together. Even though you were not crazy about the soup, that is ok because even cooking modern dishes do not always turn out great, but at least you tried it.
Oh my gosh, that soup. 😂 I make a lentil soup but I have never mashed or blended it. It’s very good without turning into a purée! Love your videos and always look forward to them!❤
I usually blend my lentil soup when it's ready from the crock pot. I use a stick blender. But my soup uses red lentils, root vegetables, and cajun spice and creamed coconut or coconut milk, so it's more of an Asian style lentil soup. I love green lentils but they are not the best for soup as Ron and Justine found out. I use green lentils to have with rice or made into a cottage pie. Red lentils have a lovely colour for soup.
Love the cross you showed, because it represents the work of the cross, His resurrection, and salvation for all who believe!!!!!!!! The gospel!!!!! Thank you for sharing this so much.
My Dad made a horseradish and mustard sauce for corn beef and cabbage. I make it now, just mix flour and butter in a pan to make a paste, then add mustard and horseradish to taste, really good.
I had a feeling the lentil soup wouldn't be a hit, but Justine, I believe your home-made sausages saved the day! And Ron, I think it's so cool you've created that coloring book! Maybe you can get it published and sold at book stores and gift shops and the proceeds can help the building of your new home. You two have lots of talents to be proud of! 💖
I don't know if someone 200 years from now will regard it as historically valuable, but I have one of my childhood coloring books... 63 years old! It was my favorite one... "Fairy Tale" pictures. Mostly all pages are colored. Along with other 1950-60s toys and books of mine, this coloring book has survived miles of travel, moves, packing, unpacking, and my periodically perusing my artistic skills!
Once again, I have to say you guys have the best channels on RUclips. Keep it up! And good luck with the house project, can’t wait to see it. Hugs from the UK.
Cannot wait to watch both videos. I will do so when I come home, after work tonight. Watching Justine cook is relaxing. Watching you both chew and chat, helps me to unwind. Then I can sleep better. ❤ love you both.❤
Looking forward to viewing. Thank you so much for your sweet note to me. It made my day and I am encouraged to do more crafts (as long as they don't have to be perfect).❤
In 1976 they actually made Historic coloring books for kids, for the Bicentennial. I have a copy I kept was, I 16 that year. Great idea with the coloring book!
Justine my dear, you look at bit as if you have a truly stupendous Lion's Mane mushroom on your neck! I do know it is a beautiful scarf, but then Lion's Mane mushrooms are beautiful! You are obviously integrated into nature!
Nice. Glad to hear col. Sanders calmed down. Our rooster (happy feet) finally calmed down himself. Nice cross. Glad to just follow along. Very peaceful and relaxing. Thanks for sharing in your lives.
That lentil soup sort of reminds me of the pease pudding that I made about a week ago, from a recipe from Martha Lloyd's Household Book; because I made it with dried split peas (because that's what's available in my local store) rather than the fresh peas that the receipt calls for, it has a greenish-brownish color that is very close to that most entertaining of all historical color names, "goose-turd green". Tasted good, though, because it had lots of herbs in it!
Ron, I love your coloring book. I love in PA, near Philadelphia. Have you considered reaching out to any of the places in Philadelphia where people tour to view the liberty bell, independence hall, ect., to see if they might be interested in purchasing them from you for school kids coming to learn about the history of Philadelphia?
You two brighten my spirits! You're so sweet and warm and I'm very thankful to know that you are Christians too! God bless you both and thank you for your channels! (I love, love, love watching you on Early American, Justine!)
This was great 😂 The sight of the soup and the craving for the sausage made him forget his prayer🤭. Love your historical cooking. Tried already several recipes🧡
I enjoyed your presentation! I always enjoy this week in history! I thought it was comical talking about that rooster the KFC comment and the rooster backing Justine into a corner. Ron should make his coloring book. I always like the chew and chat and all of the Front Tier Patrio, and Early America videos I don't get to watch them as much as I want to. David Back.
I already know that I would like that. Come on guys it's lentils and vegetables. You surprise me on this one :D good job my favorite persons. As I said on the other channel, you are like peas in a pot.
I love your videos more and more every time I watch one. We are a homestead family of 4 in Florida and I personally have a huge affinity for 18th century American life especially pertaining to everyday farmers and country people. Y’all bring such a peacefulness to the world and I appreciate it so much! Keep up the good work and I’ll keep watching!
I comment on Early American that I think it would have tasted better BEFORE the sieve! I like chunky veg. soup. Oh, this was the 1800's Kachava. Purely nutritional! Ron, you are an amazing person! I love the entire idea of the historical coloring book. Justine that cross is a true treasure! Love and hugs.
I cannot wait for the chew and chat and Justine's video. Favorite day of the week, gives me something to look forward to lol. Aw come on a vegetarian dish can't be that bad by the look on your face lol
I don't know why recipes from the 19th and early 20th centuries here in Britain tended to have very little spices in them because in earlier periods such as the middle ages and Tudor times they used quite a lot of them.
That soup looked good and I’m going to try it but maybe not purée because I like more body in my soup. Never had lentil soup before, but LOVED the beef with barley, so I’m giving this recipe a try.
I don't puree my lentil soup. I haven't yet seen this cooking episode. My lentil soup has carrots, onion, celery, and garlic, sometimes potatoes. If you're going to try lentils for the first time, use a good recipe. Unless it says the lentil color, it's green lentils, also known as "lentils." All the best. 😊
I love the story of the coloring book. And that Daisy, the anchored with the colored it looks like somebody actually painted Emeril daisy. My mother had Alzheimer’s, and she colored all the time she loved it she was from Prague, Czechoslovakia .
Lol remind me not to be eating or drinking while watching your videos😂 your prayer cracked me up Ron! I love green pea soup but always hated Lentils don’t know why. Brave souls you are thanks for taking one for your peeps have a great week!
You guys are awesome. Love all your vids! Sorry the lentil soup was a flop. I might have to look up an Assyrian version of them, like you mentioned growing up with. That sounds good!
So the soup didn’t look so interesting, I bet it was delicious. I’m interested in how you store you food. Always look forward to your videos. Thank you.👏😊😋
I love lentil soup. Make it with chopped onion, garlic, sliced carrots, lentils, salt and pepper, cooked in beef broth. So good. Lentils were even eaten during the Old Testament days. So that makes it even better knowing it was eaten that long ago. Lentils are legumes (beans) and are loaded in protein.
I think your coloring book with historical information is a great idea. That is a really cool cross. Where are you going to hang it? The rooster probably saw Ron with an axe and Justine with a big carving knife.
Love the history coloring book idea! Those are awesome, a teacher's opinion. Great video guys...Thanks but no thanks on the mashed lentil soup though...lol. 😅
My Italian mother used make a soup out of green lentils a lot and had get left lentils beans for days straight every time my mother made lentils. First they be like a soup on the first day and I had eat lentils when they got mushy for a few days straight. She used garlic in her lentils.
I love your videos Justine and Ron.
I loved history growing up.
You're the sweetest couple on the net. ❤Thanks for your smart way of making the sweet "silent" cooking ones and then the lively chat afterwards, fantastic. We adore you and Mishmish's special moments! 😻

Thank you for suggesting “The Woodland Escape” channel! I thoroughly enjoy it!
Glad you enjoy it!
My husband and I are so glad we found you. We watch both of your channels every evening. So relaxing and we just love the atmosphere that you give. Thank you so much. God bless you.
Awesome! Thank you!
I liked how it looked before it was smashed up. It looked delicious before.
Definitely agree. I might try to make it if the weather turns cool again.
Love the coloring book idea! Need to teach the younger generations the history of America and patriotism ❤️🇺🇸🇻🇮❤

OMG OMG OMG privy soup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just fell on the floor laughing. Thank you for that, I needed a good laugh today.
Glad you enjoyed!!
Great job with the coloring book, Ron and I can see that you are also quite the craftsman in the wood department!
Love the cross you showed, because it represents the work of the cross, His resurrection, and salvation for all who believe!!!!!!!! The gospel!!!!! Thank you for sharing this so much.

I love Mish-mish! He’s a cutie pie 🥰!
I like how you gave a shout out for Peter and The Woodland Escape . You don't want to miss those episodes!!
Brilliant idea re the colouring books and well executed also. Great job Ron 😊 beautiful pewter cross. Glad the rooster got a reprieve!
I love the Woodland Escape &&& of course you guys. Thank you for doing what you do.
Our pleasure!
My Dad made a horseradish and mustard sauce for corn beef and cabbage. I make it now, just mix flour and butter in a pan to make a paste, then add mustard and horseradish to taste, really good.
Oh how I wish I could come to Pioneer Days! Maybe some day! Love that cross! It's awesome!
both your outfits look great today. I especially love ron's tie and Justine, your hair and scarf
Nothing says cheesy couple like color coordinating 😁 lol thankyou
@@frontierpatriot lol
Let the lentils sprout, delicious and nutritious. Great in Thai curry and salads!
Thank you for sharing your video I really enjoyed👍😊
I love the Patriots of America. Perfect name.
I had a feeling the lentil soup wouldn't be a hit, but Justine, I believe your home-made sausages saved the day! And Ron, I think it's so cool you've created that coloring book! I love the coloring book idea. Love you guys.
@Ron I am really impressed with your coloring book!
I would totally buy that coloring book! Great idea Ron.

Wonderful!
Lentil soup with vegetables is delicious…. Look forward to all your chew and chats
Aww! Glad the rooster got a second chance! ❤

I like the coloring book, Ron!
In 1976 they actually made Historic coloring books for kids, for the Bicentennial. I have a copy I kept was, I 16 that year. Great idea with the coloring book!
Goodness I just love you two. Blesses my heart. That cross is amazing.
Justine my dear, you look at bit as if you have a truly stupendous Lion's Mane mushroom on your neck! I do know it is a beautiful scarf, but then Lion's Mane mushrooms are beautiful! You are obviously integrated into nature!
Really enjoyed all the history and conversation! Beautiful Cross and great idea for Historical Coloring book! Appreciate all that you do 🌞
The face on the thumbnail is Justine's rating system. No doubt about that one.
That's a great name for a coloring book! I love it! You guys are wonderful and I love your channels.
Nice. Glad to hear col. Sanders calmed down. Our rooster (happy feet) finally calmed down himself. Nice cross. Glad to just follow along. Very peaceful and relaxing. Thanks for sharing in your lives.
You two crack me up! I enjoy this show so much. I hope to have a wonderful best friend/ partner to share my meals with. 🥗
I like to make lentil chili or make soup with lentil onion celery and spinach yummy....thank you to both of you

This was great 😂
The sight of the soup and the craving for the sausage made him forget his prayer🤭. Love your historical cooking. Tried already several recipes🧡
You need to get that published. Very impressive coloring book.
I love love love lentils

Thanks for another great episode, i love Ron's coloring book idea! I watch The Woodland Escape channel too, love it!
Eeeeee…Best day of the week!! ❤
🎉
Lentil soup does need lemon or vinegar at the end 😊 Black bean soup is an even darker color but delicious 😋
Mush Mush is very adorable cat.
Very very interesting
I cannot wait for the chew and chat and Justine's video. Favorite day of the week, gives me something to look forward to lol. Aw come on a vegetarian dish can't be that bad by the look on your face lol
Just wait 😂

The ladle would make a great wedding gift for you.
That's what I thought. They're giving them free advertising after all, and they don't even gain a ladle in return? (That just really annoyed me).
That soup kinda reminds me of pea soup , which I love ❤️. I’d try it .
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉 I always love seeing another show coming up 🍿🍫☕

Whoa....Sausages!!!! And you didn't invite me???? Delicious in a bun with cheese. yum yum yum yum
Wow your coloring book idea is a great idea for kids. You should make some and sell them.
I love you programs.
I think the lentil soup recipe sounds pretty good. The colour does not bother me.
Mishmish is adorable.
Lol remind me not to be eating or drinking while watching your videos😂 your prayer cracked me up Ron! I love green pea soup but always hated Lentils don’t know why. Brave souls you are thanks for taking one for your peeps have a great week!
I love the idea of the coloring book! I would love to buy one for my kids
I like some Worcestershire sauce in my lentil soup. Usually I put some tomato paste too.
Privy soup LOL LOVE it. The ingredients looked good at first, but now I see why Ron's a bit skeeved out LOL
You guys are awesome. Love all your vids! Sorry the lentil soup was a flop. I might have to look up an Assyrian version of them, like you mentioned growing up with. That sounds good!

While watching I kept shouting " eat the soup while it's at least warm.... you are letting it go cold !!"😂
I thought i heard something..lol SORRY :)
Cant wait to see the outhouse y’all built! Will Ron be selling the coloring books in Kandye’s store? Cant wait to see video!
Only at pioneer days
Maybe y'all should have thought about it as brown gravy. Gravy and toast......yum.
Oh my goodness! Ron's coloring book is a fabulous idea!! I would love to get one. Wish I could attend Pioneer Days but one day I will make it!!
Thanks!
Thankyou and your very welcome!
As always a good video and for Peter s video s I think he's incredible guy you should invite him down some time enjoy your day
My Italian mother used make a soup out of green lentils a lot and had get left lentils beans for days straight every time my mother made lentils.
