PPF chips. Might save the paint underneath, but the cost of installing, then replacing PPF doesn't make it worth it. Unless you like having the PPF all chipped and yellowed after a year or two.
In this day and age, PPF has come light years from when it launched something like 20 years ago. Films are now self-healing, non-fading, easier to apply, and removes back off paint just fine, I had to have my hood on the Supra redone and it wasn’t an issue. The only problem with PPF for most people is the expense and the benefit often boils down to how long that person keeps the car. Price out the cost and labor of applying a current, 3 stage metallic paint and I can assure you, PPF is cheaper.
I hope you realize that electric cars are not as efficient as the press makes them out to be. If you DRIVE, like I do, spending time waiting for a charge is not efficient of my time. Electric car batteries are not good for our environment. They are a huge waste of resources. If everyone listened to the news and bought electric vehicles, the price of electricity would skyrocket because the demand out out-weigh the supply. Speaking of electric supply, we do not have the infrastructure built to handle electric vehicles. Sorry, but that isn't even a Mustang. It's a frumpy looking, over-priced, electric SUV.
I just applied Paint Protection Film on my Mach E...
Good idea!
@@CarGuy11 The paint on these cars is kinda soft..Seen a lot of chips on other Mach Es..PPF is best protection..
You need a little clear on it
Do you still have your Supra
Yes sir! This is my new daily driver.
PPF, no chips
Pricey tho.

I'm not being rude but that's not a genius move. Just fill it in then squeegee works much better
Also, don't let it cure. Do it right away to get excess off

This has nothing to do with the idea😂
