Lying through his teeth. Unbelievable that the speaker is protecting him
Surely that should earn him a suspension
Lies and more lies
Actually, the people who elected you to that place would very much like liars to be called out as liars and face some sort of censure. Thanks.
Absolute Twaddle from Cleverly. Nominative Determinism fails again lol
Lying to the public needs to be a criminal offence with a custodial sentence if an MP. Never mind these MPs thinking that they are so honourable that it shouldn't be allowed to call them out for their blatant lying. As the truth will set You free.
I gave you a thumbs up but if an asteroid is going to hit us in two months they better be quiet and build some bunkers
Cleverly has always been like that, he does not respect anyone apart from himself , shame on him
If he had any self respect he would not serve in this cabinet, especially after being do disrespected with his brief Chancellorship.
How a bloke like Cleverley gets to be a Minister tells you all you need to know about the state of British politics.
IMO he is much better suited to his erstwhile role of chasing after Olive Oil and fighting with Popeye!
Dianne abbot, the biggest idiot as an MP. The Labour Party and Conservative are all the same. We need a new party to kick the others up the backside. Give reform a chance and see what happens to tye other two
Well said, What happened when Bluto went to Mt. Olive ? Popeye went Crackers !
Dear davewicks you forgot to mention your hero gutter mouth Rayner calling someone scum any comments dave you hypocrite
I have not daught that comrade Cleverly is a liar.
Dear God. This is now getting to be ridiculous. It was as clear as day what was said and this "deputy speaker" is actually defending (not so) Cleverly. But. come to think about it, she has form in defending tories. 😡
Martynlockhart any comments on your hero gutter mouth Rayner who called someone scum I suppose that's OK with you. You bloody hypocrite
I’m not sure I heard an apology.
What a coward. Who calls an individual a shitehole?
Exactly, he was clearly referring to an area.
It reminds me of Rayner calling people scum
@@Bill-kj5xwAt least she had the guts to apologise. Even though a lot agreed with her comment.
@@royboy565 I don't and she a called MP she's got the brains of a rocking horse
As is Ms Lang in refusing to deal with it.
He didn't apologise. I've heard it and it's clear what he said. This needs to go further. He can milk this for as long as he needs. Make the tory party issue a statement and a humiliating climbdown. He might even get the sack for deliberately misleading parliament. Get professionals to analyse it
With 13 + years in charge and "Leveling Up" being one of the key slogans
seems stupid to say an area is bad when your in charge of making it and the country better
But they are right honorable :)
@@walshjoseph7991you forgot to insert the word tossers after the honourable
I made that point in my video about it all a few days ago too. If any area is a 'shithole' it isn't the fault of the opposition, is it?
Don't worry: we have a Commonsense Minister now (a replacement for Mad Naz & just as intelligent)
@@isabellewhite3505 Yeah - another scouse traitor!
totally bias that woman is a disgrace to the house and so is cleverly
This video sums up British politics in a nutshell .
You mean the Government surely?
I can't say I enjoy this speaker. That was no apology.
He is such a liar!!
He's being taking lessons off Johnson
they are all bloody liers tories trouble is people are stupid believing them
The home sec just addressed the honorable gentleman directly twice, "what are you saying". "Honorable" members are not allowed to address eachother in 2nd person within the chamber they are only allowed to speak through the chair. And how honorable is it really to sit there and insult other democratically elected members who are there representing their constituents in the chamber? Surely the "honorable" thing to do would be to offer a sincere apology for insulting and disrespecting the other member and in turn insulting those who he is there to represent.
Cleverly has been in post for 5 minutes & he is already proving to be an utter disgrace to the office. His mannerisms, his voice, his whole comportment indicate he is lying through his teeth! "Integrity, professionalism & accountability" - absolute joke! The deputy Speaker is a total waste of space. Nothing honourable about her, she's just another Tory in a position way above her capabilities!
James Cleverly is a liar.
A person cannot be a Shithole. A place can be a Shithole.
The duty speaker covering up for her party again
The biggest lie was calling James Cleverley ‘honourable member’
Nobody in the history of the world has ever called a person a shit hole. The term has always and will always and certainly on this occasion been used in reference to a place
People of Stockton need to remember this, go and visit his address and protest his comments. He wants to make comments about where you live, you go express your dissatisfaction where he lives. MPs have been getting away with this for too long and the matter needs to be taken to their literal doorstep.
Cleverly should resign 😮
a knuckle dragging oaf he is. A degree in hotel management and has already had two of the highest offices of state. I'm not sneering, but has he shown he is fit for the jobs?
Whoooo ark at her
Not so cleverly , theres a theme that runs with these inept Tories
We need to completely dismantle the entire framework of this country and replace it with a modern streamlined and more fair and democratic version with proportional representation and actual houses rather than this disgusting archaic shitshow
Strange...he either called a place or a person a derogatory term for a place.
Hmmm....i wonder.
If only Alex Cunningham had accused Cleverly of calling him a shithole. Then he could have squirmed out of it by saying he was calling Stockton a shithole.
He's realised or been told that you lose lots more votes by calling constituencies shitholes (what a mentality that reveals) than by insulting another MP.
They lie all the time but aren't allowed to say it
Is anyone shocked anymore
Don't believe a word the Home Secretary says.
That was extremely shameful of the deputy speaker. And she is meant to be inpartical.......
He doesn't even lie cleverly
She was on Cleverlys side!!! 🤬
So that's okay? Oh, fine.
You can't call them a liar but you can call them a sh*thole.
When James Cleverly twice said "what are you calling me?" he's goading the Labour MP knowing that he can't say it. If I were the Labour MP I'd have stood up and shouted "a liar" and taken the hit: nothing is more important than standing up for your constituency as an MP. There's some instances (Blackford) where the calculation has to be that being named and asked to leave for the day is more beneficial to the overall cause - If more Labour MPs started doing this on a regular basis it would build momentum for a change in procedures...I wonder whether upholding the ministerial code or Nolan principles ought to involve the speakers office as a safeguard against just ignoring it.
Honourable gentleman with no honour. This whole party is a bunch of liars. Honourable is being used very loosely in this place. An honourable bunch of thieves and liars is more like it.
It's so pathetic. They all know what he said and he's openly lying.
This is absolutely weak and pathetic.
And she’s hopeless beyond belief
It's the rules that are hopeless, not the speaker.
She makes Lindsay Hoyle look like a giant of an authoritarian.
@@verystripeyzebraNo, she's a Tory sticking up for other Tories in the most pedantic way possible.
@@playerone9824 yeah yeah, you need to take a look at the role of the speaker, and realise what a polite post it is. Not some disciplinarian role as people seem to believe it is.
@@verystripeyzebra For as whacky as he was, John Bercow did a significantly better job of holding ministers on both sides to account than either the current Speaker or Deputy.
What an absolute disgrace this parliament is. They look down at us with such contempt !!
I must have heard the term 'sh*thole' used a thousand times - always, always in reference to a place.
In my life I've had my fair share of insults, but no one, ever, has called me a 'sh*thole'. It makes no sense.
Cleverly isn't that clever, I fear.
Lying Shithouse would've been more apt and not the guy from Stockton.
You realise how good Berkow was after this!
BS
The house of LIES 👍
The Government of lies....this is not a wetherspons
James Cleverly was the last Tory MP I had even a shred of respect for UNTIL last week. This pathetic party need to be ousted immediately from parliament. They’ve brought nothing but hardship and shame to the people of this nation. Never again should we be represented by such a corrupt, self-serving, incapable group of leeches.
Even if he didn't say the constituency was a shithole and did say the MP was shit (he definitely said "because it's a shithole"). That's still unacceptable and insulting to the constituents because it is labelling them as stupid for voting for him. Bear in mind he's been a member of the council from 1997 to 2010, and since 2010 the MP, so he was not unknown to his constituents. Also personal insults like that should be unacceptable.
