I like how Melo treated Kiyan like his own man in this interview, not even introducing him as his son. Gave him his own platform to speak about his own experiences alongside his GOAT.

Melo is 40… his favorite player as a YOUNG KID was Bernard King. He had to have someone close to him showing him the greatness of Bernard King. King only played till 93. He only played with Knicks till 87 (scoring champ in 85). Melo was only 3 when King left the Knicks. Played with the Bullets till 91 and retired in 93 after year with the Nets. This episode inspired me on a different level. I'm 32 and I had one of the deepest conversations with parents that I could remember as an adult. Watching Melo be a father and have his peers help with passing the torch to the next generation is special. I used to play sports and I didn't reach my full potential but I want to coach to help the youth reach theirs. I literally started working out halfway through the episode and I hope that I can continue to find motivation everyday to keep pushing forward. Thanks a lot my brothers you never know how just sharing your experiences and words can help others. Stay Blessed and stay #Melo

If I can be half the dad that Melo is to his son, if I could be half the OG Melo is to guys like PG and have the respect of my peers, that would make me or anyone a great man.

John Salmons was cold that 09 bulls team was a 7th seed but they were really a low key 4th seed because of him Ben Gordon, a Rookie D Rose and a 2nd year Noah, they took a 09 Celtics team who finished with 62 wins without KG for half the season to 7 games
