I like how Melo treated Kiyan like his own man in this interview, not even introducing him as his son. Gave him his own platform to speak about his own experiences alongside his GOAT.

    My 2 fav Melo moves:
    1. Early Melo. Penetrate the paint then hesi in and out with the right hand easy lay
    2. Middle years… catch in the post. 1 dribble Drop baseline spin back to the paint double pump lay… usually ends with an and 1.
When he first came back in Portland I sent him a dm on ig asking for that spin lay and he tried it the very next game. I like to see it’s because he saw the dm 😂

Melo is 40… his favorite player as a YOUNG KID was Bernard King. He had to have someone close to him showing him the greatness of Bernard King. King only played till 93. He only played with Knicks till 87 (scoring champ in 85). Melo was only 3 when King left the Knicks. Played with the Bullets till 91 and retired in 93 after year with the Nets. 2017-2018 OKC had a squad. PG was top scoring, and defense. Russ triple doubles. Adams high efficiency scoring. Melo could've easily been 6MOTY candidate especially during clutch runs....

I really felt the beginning of this conversation. As a player I’m a shooter so when I first started watching basketball my favorite player was Ray Allen and I caught a lot of heat for it cause everyone was like “ you gotta like Lebron, KD, Paul Pierce, Kobe, etc.”

Kiyan what -- like 6’4 right now? Hopefully he hits another growth spurt… would love to see him get to 6’8 / 6’9 like PG / Melo. Right now his game kind of reminds me of Devin Booker. He’s not the most athletic kid out there but he’s been grinding this summer. He’s been showing out at some of these camps putting the ball in the basket. Buckets!
