@@scottfreeman2576 I think In the far future I may upgrade to a Nox or deus. Would hate to say it but they seem to be the superior detector. But the Legend definitely holds its own!
Awesome clay! It's been about 8 years since my last barber dime lol and that was on an old bounty hunter. The lg24 has a lot of potential, I think the second spot in this video was the ideal location for it to excel in.
I use the lg24 99% of the time, but i dig really trashy areas and parks when i go to the beach i usually put on the lg28 id kinda like to get the lg30 instead, but i dont think i use a big coil enough to justify it, so i just use the lg28 the lg28 is a heavy one though, i do have the carbon fiber shaft though, my dealer threw it in for free due to a mistake with my order, so that was cool 😎 12:16 Austin only uses the digger because of the local bylaws in his area, shovels are not allowed, but he also is digging in sandy soil most of the time 15:25 dont diss japan, they actually make the best NiMh rechargeable batteries, like eneloop and LADDA
The Lg24 will definitely stay in the arsenal, just need to find myself an area it's better meant for. The second spot I hit was the right type of area. The LG30 is a significant amount lighter than the 28, but if you go mostly 24 I don't think it's worth it. I do remember Austin saying something about bylaws now that you mention it. At least his mostly deals with that sugar sand unlike my spots. Thanks for watching friend
@@smeeglesapprentice1468 I would think the lg24 would give you a bit more ground coverage and depth considering that it's a good bit bigger than the 15. I've been finding myself using the 24 a good amount at trashy parks where we're not using the lg15 unless it's really needed
I may have a faulty coil. My lg 24 is so noisy and chatty that I can’t run the sensitivity over 15 but on the lg 30 i can run sensitivity at 25 and it’s super quiet.
Love the finds. A few questions. What software version are you currently using? Does this LG24 coil work with software version 1.09? I'm currently using it. And for gold, are you running your tone break as low as 7? Thanks.
@@mhmoodkhorasani9017 A lot of finding gold comes down to experience and sifting through the garbage. I would say I find a piece of gold for every 200+ signals I dig out.
I thought your video was great, I'd rather see a video that was real then one set up by all the fake asses out there! I'd watch your videos any day rather then the fakes!!
Can't stand them, especially X Finds. Shame they get all the views! I post the majority of my hunts and always keep it realistic. The last few months have been great to me, had to dry up some time. Thanks for watching Bill.
New subscriber glad I found your channel nice hunt looking forward to seeing more of your videos God Bless and happy dirt fishin…Virgil
Thanks Virgil. Your subscription is much appreciated!
id like to see the same depth test but do it with the legend vs comparable minelabs like maybe the 800/900 !
I'll have to find me someone with a nox to compare to..not a bad idea!
a lot of people swear by nokta and they e done me well, but im leaning towards minelab next time, so seeing a comparison would be great

yeah, next time which i dont see being before next year, i will probably bite the bullet and go big, probly the successor to the manticore or deus 2
Got my first Barber dime last week with the Lg24

It is a great Park coil, but large cleaner older areas the LG 30 does a better job for sure
Agreed. Tried it in a few different spots in this video. It excelled in the trashy spot.

I have changed my attitude and started hunting for pull tabs. I know I’m missing a lot of good stuff not digging a wide range of mid tones.
It's certainly a challenge and I will say when I choose to dig low tones is very dependent on the location I'm hunting. Hope they pay off for you!
@@JerseyDigs true it is sight dependent. Thanks for the video
Good video you were finding what was there
Thanks Susan!
That Simpson penny is awesome
Probably my favorite find of this video. Thanks for watching
If you already have the LG15, do you think the LG24 brings anything that you don't get with the LG15?

I’m pretty sure that 41 through 44 nickels are 35% silver they are considered war nickels
Shift that range up one year unfortunately it's 42-45 contain 35% Silver. Found a 43 today though!

@@digginggopher lol caught me off guard for just a second too. Seems like silver nickels ring a little higher than the 23-25 range of a clad one.
