Ace, you know many people on Sunday are dreading Monday work and these are making a massive difference to making peoples lives better! Love a LE to watch on a Sunday
Just stumbled on this video and really enjoyed it .I'm Leicester born and bred , but moved to Dorset 33 years ago . These videos are nostalgic to say the least and the Leicester twang is music to my ears
Found one of those ROC bunkers in a farmers field. He had tractor tires on top of the hatch to keep it closed. Climbed down the ladder a little way but it was flooded and I wasn't sure how deep, still had the bunk beds which was great to see. Got the wobbly legs so climbed back out lol, only to be surrounded by cows 😅
Great video Steve. Just today I was in Glenfield tunnel and I thought of your vids. Interesting these small explores you've been on, that ice house was amazing. The 15ft drop took me by surprise
Great video Steve, i know of 3 R0C bunkers ,one near Tamworth, castle gresley, and ticknall,The one near ticknall was sold at auction a few years ago for about 20k 😮,
Brilliant Steve glad you liked the finds you used to be able to see the actual tennis court surfaces, looked like they just planted comercial pine trees straight straight through it . At the other site of the ice house didn’t known if you noticed there was a cutting from the hall past the ice house to the church with a lovely ornate cast iron bridge over it nearer to the hall . Looks like you were to much of a scardy cat to go further 😂.
Cheers Bob! I have walked round there before, as I've been to the cross nearby, but didn't know the Ice house was there, because it is well hidden, actually, I don't think it's marked on a map either, which is odd.
Good Video Steve, Got ROC in Melton, but over the years it's got vandalised. Apparently there's a nice preserved one up at Buckminster. The people who look after it do open days, so you can go down and have a look around...🤔👍🏻
Thank you eddie! They'll be a place at melton that I'll be putting into a similar video to this soon buddy! I'll look into the ROC post you mention to. I know Buckminster.
@@LeiceExplore There is a very good one in Melton and I'm thinking also one at Sommerby and one just outside Keyworth on way to Wysall, think I sent you a website with a ton on at one time Steve

It’s one of these posts that the Leicester radio society use for the Gb3Cf repeater site at markfield
Thank you! My mate Steve told me about that one, I may go for a Noseh there at some point. Thanks for watching
